I absolutely love my Speed Triple RR. It is probably one of the smoothest machines I have ever had the pleasure of riding. And taking it through the mountain roads where I live, it feels like the bike practically drives itself with how incredible the suspension feels and how snappy it is diving into tight curves.

    • @AceofStorms
      @AceofStorms 2 года назад +2

@National Beauty honestly, I have ridden it all day and never get tired of it. Ive taken it through country raods and mountain passes, as well as through city streets on the east coast and I've never felt the fatigue normally associated with this type of bike. Even as a bigger rider (6ft and 230lbs) It definitely fits that "superbike aggressive" positioning but you can absolutely relax on it and take things easy. If you like the sport bike posture and have no real issue with some wrist pressure it's perfect.

Im a Triumph fanboy myself, and own a white 2007 Speed Triple, so this review made me really happy hearing that this thing lives up to expectations!
I can confirm that a white Speed Triple is one of the most beautiful things on wheels, constant attention grabber. Its such a nice place to sit, even for long rides. I'm 6'1" and the ergos are almost perfect, not as relaxed as an mt10, but its still great. Lastly, NOTHING beats the sound of a triple!

I owned a 2008 Black speed triple with twin arrow straight pipes. Best bike I have ever owned and it used to get loads of attention. Brakes and handling were perfect and loads of power. I never liked any of the new speed triples until this latest generation. Currently have a 2004 gsxr1000 but would happily trade back to the speed triple.

Triumph does'nt get alot of respect for doing motorcycles their way until other riders listen to Triumph owners and test ride their bikes. Then often it's another Triumph getting sold.I love the large round single headlight and clean fairing look on this bike.Great review and much respect for not doing a one hundred and seventy mile per hour street video.Especially since it would probably only take 12 seconds to get there on the interstate. You are a very experienced rider so past all the other jokes, in all the other videos, when a bike impresses you this much,it must be a great bike.

I owned an Aprila Tuono 1100 RR, with similar power to this, and it was an angry animal. Based on my test rides of the previous Speed Triples, I bet this one's a bit smoother and more forgiving. I also owned a ZX14R SE and it rode like a touring bike until you asked it for Ludacris speed, which it happily supplied. Now I own a Scrambler 1200 XC, and it's my favorite of the three. Just so much character, and so much torque, and such a nice riding position. On account of the torque curve, I don't miss the peak horsepower at all, which I could never use on the street anyway. I do love the look of these though.

sounds like a bike that foregoes the "spec sheet warrior" ethos and focused on 1) given the choice of bikes to ride, daily, how do we get you to choose a no-compromise super bike and 2) once we've gotten you to willingly make that choice, how can we convince you it's okay to go 1/10th harder than you would have on another super bike.

Triumph make good bikes, with occasional great ones. This one has a gearbox that is a little short legged against that motor, and it makes it hit rev limiter too much, too often. There was no real need to make such a short legged box given the engine power. I hate the headlamp. Aside from that, Its already a classic top tier model.
I made a mistake in my life when I sold my 1996 Thunderbird.

Can someone please make a triple or in-line 4 that is beginner bike worthy? I don't get why it hasn't been done, they will take over the beginner sportbike market

I wish they'd bring the Ninja ZX25-r over here. It's a 250cc inline 4 screamer that LOOKS like a 600!!!! Has that oh so sweet inline 4 sound, redlines at 15,500 rpm but is only 51 horsepower!!

Honda CB650R, Yamaha XJ6/XJ6F, Kawasaki ZX25R, Benelli TNT 600. There's a few of them but not too common. It's cheaper to produce reliable parallel twins at that price range, which is very competitive.

Does the Moto2 Daytona count as another Daytona?
Sat on a Moto2 at a dealer while shopping for a Street Tripple, felt great, but too aggressive for a street bike for my tastes. I've done the half faired and upswept clip-ons treatment to my Street Triple, and I love it.

Yeah, I'm confused as to why he talks about wanting another Daytona. My local dealer has a Moto2 also.

@@dalecolegrove6652 they discontinued the Daytona 675 in 2017. And the Moto2 765 version was just a limited 2020 run. So haven’t gotten a real Daytona In 5 years which sucks but 600cc class is dying apparently

@@dalecolegrove6652 they didn’t sell very well apparently, I’m in the DFW metroplex here in Texas and I’ve seen a few as well. MSRP is $17,500 but I’ve seen them as low as $14,000 brand new.

I think Yam would be happiest with faired street triple. Track triple.

Great video guys. I'm really interested in this new version of the Triple.
Is this a bike that can be maintained at home? I have no access to dealer servicing so I do EVERYTHING myself. Is there anything that would prevent a well equipped home mechanic from owning this motorcycle?

What a fantastic, well sorted, great looking motorbike. However, I realise that for public roads, my R.E. Interceptor 650 (with YSS front for kit & shocks) is all the bike I need.

Not reall fully faired,. It looks really bice in the flesh but the already stunning RS is probably more comfortable for most from what I’ve heard. I can only dream so far as I’m on a Trident getting my noob skills ironed out
