    I’m a big fan of electronic suspension. Soft for touring and then firmer for the tighter stuff 😎

    Thank you for the review. A naked bike with clip-on is appealing to me. (MV Augusta Brutale is out of the question.) Most other naked bikes have flat bars and upright seating position. Leaning forward has me wanting to turn my wrists to a clip-on position. Somewhat more rearset pegs complement the lean forward position. I like that it has lots of premium bits. So many wonderful bikes in this general class.

    Very cool! I traded my Tuono V4 for the Speedy RR. All it took was one ride. They are both great but very different.

      Love the review.. my mate rides 1100 tuono im considering a bmw s1000r ( already test rode - brillant but maybe to polished) or the triumph rr . Currently i ride an indian FTR1200 angry and fun but it just can't hang safely with the tuono in the twisties.

      @@captain_midlife You can always go RS if you want more leg room. I am a leggy 6ft2 (35" inseam) and the RS is very comfortable.

    Seen one in person on the showroom floor of my old job (Ducati/triumph dealer) a few weeks ago, looks good and sounds good!, I honestly want this bike for the torque 🤩 this would be my daily rider/commuter/track day bike lol

    Cheers and kudos for the review! Well said and reported. Have mine since 5 April 2024 and bought old stock new with USD10k off the original price and still getting full 2 year warranty on her. What a bike! My last bike was a SFV4 and this bike beats the SF on more levels than I would have thought possible. Although the SF was awesome and amazing and so crazy to handle yet with a smile…the Speedy 12rr is just that much more fun and exciting. I can’t believe that this bike was not sold more as it has literally everything you need in carbon and high end suspension and brake systems all the way to the brake pumps. This is a bike I wanna keep for good

      10k off original price? Whoa! The dealer here has a 22 if I'm correct and a sticker of $20k. Hmmm

      Here in Malaysia the new list price is USD28k. I got a 2022 with 0km in April for USD18k with 2 year warranty. Tax in malaysia is high for luxury goods that’s why it is 28k originally

      I just booked the breitling edition of the speedy. Is it worth selling the sfv4 for? I’m riding the v4 since 3 years now. Have no complaints.

      For me no regrets and am super happy with the Speed Triple. Absolute dream and can do 250km on a tank and 3k km on rear wheel at least. So super economical compared to SFV4. But mainly because the torque is a bliss. Power wheelies super nice

    This is crazy, but someone may understand?
    Yesterday, (5/26/23 - sorry, non-USA) I rode my '22 busa 200 miles (with a few 'outbursts') to the dealer that had closeout discounts on the '22 S3 in white and 22 Tuono Factory in Black. I test rode the S3 and then the Ape back to back. I really could not decide on the refined one, or the brute. I bought both for $41,000 OTD and a $300.00 dollar delivery after I get some parts fitted. I rode my busa back home think WTF di I just do?
    -- I mention this because of the Tuono talk...

    great vid! I think those clip-ons should have a riser, like the ones on the Thruxton, this being a more relaxed riding position. I think it would make way more sense in a bike that doesn't have performance as the foremost aspect.

    the wind protection......one thing I dont like on naked bikes is the wind blast on longer rides
    funny my neighbors son had this parked out by the garage the other day and was in shock how good it looked in person, same color as well

  • @hyperthunk

    Don't get why they haven't got a version of the RS with the electronic suspension. I'm sure they'll figure it out eventually! Great review as always bud.

    • @badbutcherboy
      @badbutcherboy Год назад +3

      It’s because of the price point. The bulk of the extra $$ you pay for the RR is for the suspension. It’s the only performance upgrade between the two. The rest is just a styling swap.

    • @hyperthunk
      @hyperthunk Год назад +1

      @@badbutcherboy yeah I get that, it's just that some folks probably want fancy suspension but not clipons 🥲

    • @sacredgeometry
      @sacredgeometry 11 месяцев назад

      They probably will but I would take the price cut over having it every day of the week. It takes a couple of minutes to set your suspension on the RS and for almost everyone they will never need to change it after they set it once.
      So what is the point? Most people dont do track days and many people that do have a dedicated track bike anyway.

    Nice looking bike apart from the ‘tail’ sticking out of the rear end but guess that’s a regulatory thing.

  • @sacredgeometry
    @sacredgeometry 11 месяцев назад

    Yeah the suspension on the RS isnt as bad as people pretend it is. The Street RSs forks are far far worse when set to a more sporty setting. To the point at which it gave me really bad wrist problems from transferring every little jolt directly to my wrists ... that is until I softened it up. I dont even put much weight on my wrists, thats how bad it was.
    I havent felt the need to soften the Speed RS up, even on the frankly awful roads around here but there is plenty of scope for that in the suspension.
    I guess if you are small then you might have a bit more trouble with it because its definitely sporty ... but its a sport bike.
