Holy cow! I always wondered how people were able to do that! I'll be using this software on my future videos from now on. This video is a blessing, thanks sooooo much!
it took me time to find out that the thing works for the video only after you actually publish the subtitles, in preview it doesn't show the subtitles well... but it works
Hi Gekker, That's good to know. I didn't use preview but just published immediately and then checked the video directly. I was worried that if I did anything in preview, RUclips would mess up my captions. Thanks for watching.
Hello, your captions tutorials, even years after, are still the best ones. But just one question, do you think i should pass from subtitle edit to aegissub? I use SE because it's more easier and comfortable, but from what I've seen aegis gives you less troubles when you pass the subtitles to youtube.
Hi @usuben2224, Thanks for the comment. I usually use subtitle edit unless I need to do something it can't do; then I use Aegisub. That's for the reason you said - subtitle edit is easier to use and has fewer steps. I haven't had any issues passing the subtitles to RUclips, so for me that seems like the most efficient option.
Great tutorial, super helpful. Thanks! One question: do you happen to know why these edits don't show on the RUclips App? They show everywhere, even on the mobile browser, but not on the RUclips App, Android or iOS. Do you know if there is a fix?
Hi @saeedamanII, Thanks for watching! I'm glad it was useful. I don't know much about the RUclips App, but now I'll have to look into it! I know that there are a small number of features that don't work on some mobile browsers but most do. I'll post back here or make another video if I find out anything about the App.
hi sir. that was very informative. something not available on RUclips. My question is can use ytt. format in Camtasia or any other software to burn-in/embed subtitles or plz guide me how to burn-in ytt
Hi bilal, Thanks for watching. You can do this directly from Aegisub, without using .ytt format. I'm not sure about Camtasia, but see this video to see how to do it with VLC. ruclips.net/video/QDwNn4NU1io/видео.html

I've used it for about 18 months and not had any issues. The source is open (at github) so you could check it if you're concerned.
