    Yes, the 2 channels aren't foot switchable anyway. The AC30 is an old school amp and almost impossible to get a bad sound out of it. I find the best way to use it is to set my lead tone first, then I just roll the volume back on my guitar for clean and crunch tones, no pedals needed and it sounds great :)

    I love this amp. I picked one up over the weekend and couldn't be happier. I'll be running it at the same time as my red frontman 212R because there are things I actually like about the Frontman tone.

    best vox ac30c2 demo in youtube. this is the video that made me decide to get this amp. that was a year ago and im still absolutely in love with it. i love it over my mesa rectoverb combo, my triple rectifier half stack, my fender deville, and fender deluxe reverb. i still love those amps thats why i still have them but theres just something cool about the ac30c2. its reliable, it looks sexy and its easy to get a great sound with any guitar for any style of music. it makes me play better.

    I liked this review, not too talky, not too rocky, good blend of info to demo ratio.

    Yes, its called the AC30CC, or custom classic. I had one and found I very rarely used the switching feature. I now have one of these and I think the sound is a little more pure, less coloured with the less complex circuit. Both great amps for the money though :)

  • @anprettyguy
    @anprettyguy 12 лет назад

    This amp does have a footswitch, but not for switching between the normal and top boost channel. It only controls whether the reverb and tremolo are engaged or not. To accomplish what you want you could run an ABY switcher box and run two leads from it into each channel's input.

    Hey, I have a dilemma between the vox av60 and this ac30c2, my main concern is the warm valve sound and loudness since I need them to be gigging around, can anyone share an opinion?

  • @yumadapaka
    @yumadapaka 11 лет назад

    oh man comparing is difficult. they are both good. i say the reverb of the fender is a bit more blended in with the guitar sound whereas the vox reverb sounds a bit more separate, as if the reverb is added on top of the guitar sound. so turning the reverb up full blast wont make the guitar sound washy at all. maybe its because the vox has a cleaner sound. i hope im making some sense. if not im sorry. lately ive been using the hall of fame reverb from tc electronic cuz i have more control overall

  • @MrAnders1976

    Great amp.. They should just use some lower weight quality birch ply for rthe construction. These amps are heavy 32.2kg for the greenback version and 33.4kg for the alnico blue version. But the handwired series with the birch ply cabs are only ~ 1,4 kilo lighter.

  • @daniloguitar4095

    I have a doubt regarding this amp, like an opinion from you. The footswitch does not switch between the clean channel and the dirty, only the tremolo and reverb. What would be the pedal or footswitch more recommended to make this change without damaging the amp. Thank you for your attention.

    • @Jacksonade
      @Jacksonade 9 лет назад

      A standard A/B Box would allow you to change between the two!

    Oh dear, we need to get over the made in China nonsense ... I remember the days when Japanese made guitars were considered rubbish and look at how those same guitars are valued and sought after today! The same goes for recent Korean made guitars ... I have no less than 3 Korean made guitars ... Danelectro, Gretsch and Epiphone and they are each absolutely stellar instruments that play great. I'll be buying one of these Vox amps this week ... I have absolutely no cork sniffing delusions about the quality and tone of these amps at all ... who cares WHERE they are made as long as they meet a standard of quality and production. English made Vox amps were notorious for breaking down and farting out ... yeah, that's right ... keep cork sniffing, I'd rather have reliability and I'm proud of Vox and my own English heritage! It's just a matter of keeping a product price point down ...

    • @Mordecai06
      @Mordecai06 9 лет назад +1

      +Rikitocker It's not where they are made, it's the Price, they charge it like it was made in England, I think that's the issue tha many players have not so much where it is made.

    • @antoinelablanquie3827
      @antoinelablanquie3827 9 лет назад +1

      +Israel D I wish it could be this way... but amps that are handmade in England are VERY expensive, I mean, take Victory (english brand) for example. Small brand, so you don't pay the logo too much (listening to me Gibson !?) and still, for a thirty watts (ONLY THE HEAD), they charge 1'280 bucks. Shit's expensive these days... (especially big brands)

    • @Rikitocker
      @Rikitocker 9 лет назад

      Israel D I got my Vox AC30 for an amazing price brand spanking new, not sure where you might be shopping but I got mine with about $500 off the usual retail price. Deals are there if you shop around ...

      Ok let's get over the made in China nonsense. Let's also start charging made in China prices. Not made in China at Made in USA/EU prices. Seriously the RRP on these is a joke.

  • @fetchmybeer
    @fetchmybeer 13 лет назад

    @CoolParkourName the AC30 is most definitely NOT a metal amp. You can get some great rock tones out of it (think Brian May) and even some AC/DCish type sounds, but it isn't meant for stuff like Metallica/Megadeth/Slayer or any of the nu metal type of music. Marshalls and Mesas are better for that.

    It's funny that no one ever mentions that these "British" amp are Made in China...almost deceiving the guitar buyer into believing their buying a British amp

    • @Fishies125
      @Fishies125 9 лет назад

      British *design.

    • @zafira976
      @zafira976 9 лет назад +1

      ...Yep...Made in China! Forget the design, you pay good money for the hand-wired version ($2000) and they make it in China! Why?! $2000 is more than enough money for the amps to be made in Britain. They get them made in China for $80 a piece and then ripping the shit out of the buyer, using their British name...the usual story with most mass-produced crap these days...
