Tajikistan Declares War on Hijab

- Tajikistan, a predominantly Muslim country, has taken a controversial stance by passing a law banning the hijab and certain Islamic holiday celebrations, despite 96% of its population identifying as Muslim. President Emomali Rahmon approved the bill, which labels the hijab an "alien garment" and imposes hefty fines on offenders. The legislation, aimed at promoting a secular national identity, also prohibits the practice of "Idi," where children seek money during Islamic festivals. Sulaiman Davlatzoda, Head of the Religion Committee, justified the ban on "Idi" as a measure to ensure "proper education and ensuring their safety during Ramadan and Eid al-Adha." This move has sparked international criticism, with Corey Saylor of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) stating, "Banning the hijab is a violation of religious freedom, and such bans on religious attire should have no place in any nation that respects the rights of its people." The ban reflects a growing trend among some Muslim-majority countries in Central Asia and Eastern Europe to restrict Islamic garments in public spaces, contrasting sharply with countries like Iran and Afghanistan that mandate hijab use.

The West should learn from Tajikistan.
Especially the UK.
@FrankCostanza-nh9ng getting rid of Islam
@FrankCostanza-nh9ngit means do anything possible to decrease the visibility and influence of incompatible 7th century ideologies.
@FrankCostanza-nh9ngit means to follow suit and BAN THEM!!!!!!!!!!!
Use them as curtains instead 😂😂
@FrankCostanza-nh9ngIslamer J.had is anathema to God and life. My Hebrew name Jacova is the female form of Jacob. ( I was born March 11th in Bethlehem 51 years ago)
Big W against religious oppression of women. Go Tajikistan. 🇹🇯
Tajikistan is going on the right direction ❤ it seems
They should banned it everywhere. They look like Ninjas 💯
I feel they’re a symbol of women’s oppression. 😢
How is a dress affects your life?
I bet you are the type who chants “my body, my choice” while cheering for hijab ban.
@@NoMadKidThey look odd to be honest, with long hair it looks like they have a big lump at the back.Ban the Burks too
I don't think we should ban the Hijab (hair veil), but we should definitely ban the Niqab (face cover) though.
Although I kinda think the hijab (hair veil) looks kinda cute on a woman, that is my weird thing, though.
P.S I have seen some Christians, particularly Orthodox Christians wearing hair cover so it's not an exclusively Islam thing.
However the face cover or Niqab or Burka or whatever you want to call it absolutely has to go.
@@jessiegleaves9037 if we going to name odd dress choices then we should ban people with back fat in tank tops. Regarding the burka it’s actually not mandatory and it is a tribal dress code of pre Islam Arabia, but It got carried to post Islam fashion.
The banning of the hijab and beards may be a popular move among the population.
Banning beards is too far. Plenty of non religious people have beards
@@BizznessBox but most of beard look like pussy hair. They look not hygiene
you probably a little beta that cant grow one
@@BizznessBox They don't wear viking beards. They all wear those I S I S beards.
Islam is THREE IN ONE RELIGION ALLAHA AND UNCLE MOHAMMED AND SHAITHAN ALL IN ONE WITH OUT LIES ISLAM DIES and HIJAB, and beards
Excellent move by Tajikistan.... They should not loose their Tajik identity and culture.
Every country that embraces islam must forget their own identity and embrace Arab identity. Don't u think so.
Bruh...
Tajikistan has been Muslim for centuries now, Islam and the local culture has blended well.
Bruh Islam is part of Tajik culture
As a nationalist I agree.
Hijab is a primitive 7th century teaching.
And yet we're in the 21st century.
Explains a lot.
Hijab is actually Jewish female identity. So is circumcision for boys.
Muslims are Jewish and don't even know it.
Da! Tako je. Idemo, Tajikistan! 💪
Podrska brate
Very good decision 👏 👌 👍
Hoping others will follow
The beards thing may also be against the Taliban coming over the border.
Interesting point.
Hijab ban not controversial but sensible step. Identity of all individuals must be clear to everyone.
Do you know what controversial means?
@@papeetechild I belive that's sarcasm...
Tajikistan is taking a step towards in the right direction and other countries should follow suit. Be wary of Jihadists that will push back.
Tajiks used to be Zoroastrians just like most other iranic populations, hope this movement continues!!!
Why can’t United Kingdom ban hijab and Eid celebrations
If the news is true, I salute the man 👍
Yes, they allow a traditional scarf.
The Tajik Government is rightfully concerned that it would be Islamized back to the feudal system of the 7th century as happened in Afghanistan, Iran, Aceh & some parts of Malaysia. At a time when many well minded progressive Middle Eastern countries are reforming radical Islam. And nothing to do with bigoted CARE America.
would that also include banning Mohammed Hijab?🤣🤣
🥁 badum 🎵 Tsh 😂
😂
👏 👏 👏
Thank you . Very good explanation/interpretation of what is going on there .
There are rumors that Kazakhstan will follow their decision soon
Lovely possibility
Well done Persian Tajiks 👏
Bravo!!!!🎉🎉🎉 enough with nonsense believes.
I just come to listen to the beautiful voice of Susanna ❤
Her voice is therapy for me
Thank you ❤❤
Armin is thinking in terms of Western civil rights while Tajikistan has declared war against the Islamization of their country. War is war, get real Armin.
😂😂😂😂
It must be outlawed everywhere!
Good for TA...
Traditions are good but not when you are punished when you don't follow them. We just need to do the right thing for ourselves and others. What does mother nature want for us humans?
Great point, Guadelupe. My Hebrew name Jacova is the female form of Jacob. In Aramaic Khubba means love. Khubba to you and yours. Like Hubba bubble gum, love sticks together.
Those are not Tajik traditions. Tajik got their own traditional clothing that looks like a mix between Slavic and Indian clothing.
I don't think a punishable ban is the way to go, but it's very interesting how these ruling have panned out.
Lets goooo
Hijab represents ISLAM and islamic values.Very easily distinguished person that wears hijab.
Thanks Armin
ban it good job
I thought you were going to say "it's the men that have the big bushy beards not the women". :)
Good for Tajikistan 👍.
Protect your local cultures from esl4m inv4sion.
Shouldn't be banned nor mandated.
@@panzer00 Maybe they should make there men wear a burka, give them an idea how horrid it must be wearing them, and let the women walk around in western clothes.equality and all that.💁♀️
True. The Quran is still a book of a lot of hate and jealousy and subjugation of God and people..
Banned. They can cover their hair with other stuff. Why does it specifically have to be that ugly thing.
@VladTepes-SaviorofEurope-mw4uy I agree. By the way I danced ballet across the Iron Curtain thru Romania. I have been to Transylvania and have swam on the Black Sea.
@VladTepes-SaviorofEurope-mw4uy My great grandfather was a Prussian Count. Poland by the border of Germany near where archeologists are searching for the golden chalice and riches. German was my first language. You made me smile. Danke schone. Du bist toll. You are great. You bring memories to my soul. That's how God aka Gott works thru you.
Woooooooooooooooooooow.

You both need to live in secular country with majority Muslims to understand that move and other think.
Liked
Yep agree Armin
Not too far.
The Japanese approach is necessary
What if the enforcement of the law ends up being similar to what the sharia police has done?
Perfect to have civilization police 😂
if they Bennett everywhere's better no discrimination no one knows who you are you will blend in.
Tajjek dress better thn black dress
Yes. Ban this in the whole world.
Armin you should know better. Didn't Iran ban the hijab in 1936 look were tou are now.
Of he wants to fight Islamization ( which is good) the he should change the education system
The Iranians and their leftists were naive, they allowed themselves to be deceived by the Muslims. In the end, when they got theirs, the Muslims just eliminated them. The same thing they want in Europe. They connected with the naive left, and when they reach the goal, they intend to destroy everyone.
Maybe the Tajik people were forcefully converted to Islam.
I was in Uzbekistan in 1990 for work and agree with Susanne the textiles are amazing.
Seems late in the day to do this when 90% muslim.
Armin .. arrête d’être plus catholique que le pape lol
I think government is coming down hard after that recent Moscow blasts in which Tajiks were involved
Reza Shah tried to do it in Iran in 1936, it didn't end well...
Religious freedom means no religious coersion and no secular coersion.
I hope this time it ends better, but I'm afraid it will have the opposite effect as it has in the past.
❤❤
The religion radicals never will understand that "personal beliefs" should be keep personal...not public. Secularism is necessary for progress.
Always difficult, I think people should be free to wear what they want, but in these weird cases you kinda have to "ban" one thing to free up everything else. I don't know, I think it's great, as the oppression of women by some religions makes me sick, but at the same time if someone wants to wear a headscarf because they love the look, they should be free to do so...
Very good, #FreeFromHijab
Maybe they realize its not so dusty in their country anymore.lol
Thats where kurds came from around these areas Tajikistan Turkmstan Azerbejan kurkmastan
Afganstan kurdstan near kafkas they still speak kurdish language
Bro kurds (medes) came from the Volgo River. It was the parthians who came from Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan and khorasan, and the majority of persians came from India.
Tajik ancestors are sogdians, not kurds, but they are related regardless.
India needs to learn from this
Hmmm how is islam viewed in a place like Tajikistan? What does "being a muslim" mean for them?
Absolutely NOTHING!! 😂😂😂
They're quite heavy on it, it's a mostly rural society
Was the video deleted??
Nope
Women might be being forced to wear the hijab in which case it is not a choice. Plus, it is not just a costume but a political statement that represents a particular branch of Islam. Hijabs were not present in most islamic countries outside of Arabia years ago.
One thing is for certain. The man's eyebrows are about to fly away any minute.
Good
The ban makes sense be as religious as you want but at a point. While the hijab, I believe, is a fashion statement more than anything else it's a they take an inch and want a mile kind of thing so I get the ban
Big WIN
Hijjab is not oppressing, only to those who are made to wear it when they don’t want to, so Islam does not allow this, forcing anything onto any individual if it’s not in their heart.. God doesn’t need us, we need Him so.. if we don’t have God in our heart, no need be hypocrites…. Islam gives freedom of religion, free will and no compulsion in Islam is allowed… people just weird…
The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: 'Whoever changes his religion then kill him.' And I would not have burned them because the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: 'Do not punish with the punishment of Allah.' So this reached 'Ali, and he said: "Ibn 'Abbas has told the truth."
Narrated Aisha:
Sauda (the wife of the Prophet) went out to answer the call of nature after it was made obligatory (for all the Muslims ladies) to observe the veil. She was a fat huge lady, and everybody who knew her before could recognize her. So `Umar bin Al-Khattab saw her and said, "O Sauda! By Allah, you cannot hide yourself from us, so think of a way by which you should not be recognized on going out. Sauda returned while Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was in my house taking his supper and a bone covered with meat was in his hand. She entered and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! I went out to answer the call of nature and `Umar said to me so-and-so." Then Allah inspired him (the Prophet) and when the state of inspiration was over and the bone was still in his hand as he had not put in down, he said (to Sauda), "You (women) have been allowed to go out for your needs."
It is not to far this is great! They sad inaf! Thats what we should do in EU!
Tajikistan declres war on islam ????
no
Love the show!
Wait why is a Muslim country banning the hijab?
They want to have their own culture. If Not, they will become an Arab/Arabised country.
Makes everyone look like grannies. 😂😂
to distance themselves from a common Islamic identity/Umma/whatever
I read that one of the reasons was to make sure that terrorists can’t hide under these garments, there were accounts of male terrorists wearing the female clothing of hijab to get away.
Tajikistan is a secular country
If God in your holy book is more often described as a Ruler whose job is to sit in the Judge's chair and only judge cases and impose punishments or give rewards, then you will feel the need to help God punish sinners. If God in your holy book is more often described as a Father who tries so hard to heal sick people or save people whose lives are threatened or liberate people from religious law, then you will feel yourself to do your God's work too.
Feeding the RUclips gods 😂
Religion should personal, not a public display of hypocrisy.
Luke 20:46
46 “Beware of the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.
Matthew 6:16-18
16 “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face,
18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
The hijab is a product of Arab culture as is most of the Muslim practices. Specifically the Arab practices of 500 ad
I don't think we should ban the Hijab (hair veil), but we should definitely ban the Niqab (face cover) though.
Although I kinda think the hijab (hair veil) looks kinda cute on a woman, that is my weird thing, though.
However that said, you can get all sorts of different hair veils so if woman like that then they should be allowed to wear one that doesn't look like the Islamic one.
@@FlatEarthTruth611 well..then the purpose of the hijab has failed. It's not supposed to look cute on a woman, men supposed to find it 'unattractive' otherwise, the burqa would be the next best thing according to Islam as it's a proper form of 'hiding' a woman so she doesn't look cute
Great Job! That's gender apartheid!
Tajikistan is defined as a Muslim country by the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) of which he is a member state, as the 55 other Muslim countries on the OIC list.
Bravo an diese land .In quaran steht nicht das du so etwas trägst .Bedeckt kopf haare also mit eine tuch

Good for them! Maybe banning it altogether is a hit harsh, but they can definitely move forward towards free will and freedom to choose how people want to identify with customs related to external expressions of religion.
Christianity is a majority in America, but it is not a Christian country, so what's your point?
Yes I hope my country be like this so we get red of this shit

Great news ,BRAVO 👏 TO THE TAJIKISTAN PRESIDENT 👏👏👏👏👏
Great Move by Tajikistan 🇹🇯 👏 👍 hope UK, France and USA will learn and follow ❤❤❤
It's nonsense like Hijab Bans that make me glad I live in Canada.
One cannot live life with 7th century rules
Excellent
Salute the govt for ban, stonage dress
Hijab = 7th century
Hijab has no future in modern free world
