Tajikistan Declares War on Hijab

  • Tajikistan, a predominantly Muslim country, has taken a controversial stance by passing a law banning the hijab and certain Islamic holiday celebrations, despite 96% of its population identifying as Muslim. President Emomali Rahmon approved the bill, which labels the hijab an "alien garment" and imposes hefty fines on offenders. The legislation, aimed at promoting a secular national identity, also prohibits the practice of "Idi," where children seek money during Islamic festivals. Sulaiman Davlatzoda, Head of the Religion Committee, justified the ban on "Idi" as a measure to ensure "proper education and ensuring their safety during Ramadan and Eid al-Adha." This move has sparked international criticism, with Corey Saylor of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) stating, "Banning the hijab is a violation of religious freedom, and such bans on religious attire should have no place in any nation that respects the rights of its people." The ban reflects a growing trend among some Muslim-majority countries in Central Asia and Eastern Europe to restrict Islamic garments in public spaces, contrasting sharply with countries like Iran and Afghanistan that mandate hijab use.

I don't think we should ban the Hijab (hair veil), but we should definitely ban the Niqab (face cover) though.
Although I kinda think the hijab (hair veil) looks kinda cute on a woman, that is my weird thing, though.
P.S I have seen some Christians, particularly Orthodox Christians wearing hair cover so it's not an exclusively Islam thing.
However the face cover or Niqab or Burka or whatever you want to call it absolutely has to go.

@@jessiegleaves9037 if we going to name odd dress choices then we should ban people with back fat in tank tops. Regarding the burka it’s actually not mandatory and it is a tribal dress code of pre Islam Arabia, but It got carried to post Islam fashion.

      Narrated Aisha:
Sauda (the wife of the Prophet) went out to answer the call of nature after it was made obligatory (for all the Muslims ladies) to observe the veil. She was a fat huge lady, and everybody who knew her before could recognize her. So `Umar bin Al-Khattab saw her and said, "O Sauda! By Allah, you cannot hide yourself from us, so think of a way by which you should not be recognized on going out. Sauda returned while Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was in my house taking his supper and a bone covered with meat was in his hand. She entered and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! I went out to answer the call of nature and `Umar said to me so-and-so." Then Allah inspired him (the Prophet) and when the state of inspiration was over and the bone was still in his hand as he had not put in down, he said (to Sauda), "You (women) have been allowed to go out for your needs."

Religion should personal, not a public display of hypocrisy.
    Luke 20:46
46 “Beware of the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.
    Matthew 6:16-18
16 “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face,
18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

The hijab is a product of Arab culture as is most of the Muslim practices. Specifically the Arab practices of 500 ad

I don't think we should ban the Hijab (hair veil), but we should definitely ban the Niqab (face cover) though.
Although I kinda think the hijab (hair veil) looks kinda cute on a woman, that is my weird thing, though.

    • @FlatEarthTruth611
      @FlatEarthTruth611 24 дня назад

However that said, you can get all sorts of different hair veils so if woman like that then they should be allowed to wear one that doesn't look like the Islamic one.

@@FlatEarthTruth611 well..then the purpose of the hijab has failed. It's not supposed to look cute on a woman, men supposed to find it 'unattractive' otherwise, the burqa would be the next best thing according to Islam as it's a proper form of 'hiding' a woman so she doesn't look cute

Good for them! Maybe banning it altogether is a hit harsh, but they can definitely move forward towards free will and freedom to choose how people want to identify with customs related to external expressions of religion.
