- Tajikistan, a Muslim-majority nation, has officially banned the hijab and other Islamic traditional clothing after the parliament's upper house passed a law prohibiting "alien garments" and children's festivities during Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. The new law includes large fines for violations. This follows years of restrictions and a campaign promoting traditional Tajik clothing, including 2017 text messages urging women to wear national attire.

@Chuckruu It is Islamic. In Pre-Islamic Arabic culture many Satanic things like idol worship, belly dance to please deities, killing baby girls etc were prevalent. Killing baby girls(foeticide) is rampant in North India. According to Quraan, girls should cover their body except face and forearms when they come out. Let Muslims practice their religion as Hindus do, as Sikhs do, as others do. Unity in diversity is the beauty of modern India.

As a Muslim to be Honest, Wearing Hijab is not Helping us anyway. I am clothing shop owner, Even in my country Bangladesh 2 time i caught1/3 women stole Item wearing Borkha/Hijab.
Now i have have a notice board hanged in my shop door that "Borkha/Hijab wearing women or any people wearing mask is not allowed to enter". I had too cause these people have the most suspicious behaviors.
I think my Religion (Islam), i don't have show or practice outside. we can do it home or we have Mosque, we can do it there. why we have to practice Islam such a way that provoked or disturbs other. I think we all Muslim needs to grow up our mindset, ok i get it our prophet told us but that was back in 1400 years ago, the society have developed and the world has changed, now we have to upgrade out mentality. Look at Dubai, Look at Qatar, even Saudi is evolving. Saudi have the most amount of Cinema Theater. Its Haram is Islam but we have to adjust it now for the sake of Development.
So we need to grow up to co-exits with other people. Just because we posses an extremists behaviors with our Religion people all over the world hate Muslim and look what is happening to Gaza. Kids are dying but all the people of the world are laughing saying they are terrorist and why is that because we are over protecting our Religion. Our religion Image is now at worse place. Please be a Human that's the only solution Muslim Brothers. Being Human is your Identity not religion. What Junnah we will get by killing/disturbing others. Please think. we need to upgrade.

People all over the world are trying to become progressive in outlook. But the Muslims in India especially in Kerala and southern states are becoming regressive in their social behaviour. During my childhood there was only one or two women in Kozhikode used to wear hijab and now if you go to Kerala every one, even very small girls are forced to wear it. This needs to be implemented in India also, at least in public places . Because we don’t know who is near you and sometimes feel afraid when you are alone. The words Madhav nalappat should not be believed even if he is against the use of hijab. Because according to some newsmen from Kerala he has prevented his mother from converting back to Hinduism
