In 2045, a grandson to his Grandpa... "Grandpa, i was reading the history books, and i saw great records, drivers with 4, 5, and 7 Championships. A Hamilton, a Vettel, Fangio, and Prost. They were amazing drivers, weren't they??" The Grandpa, with dificulty, sits down, and answers: they were indeed very good, but sit down Boy, i Will tell you the story of a crazy supersónic Yellow Helmet fórmula 1 driver...
Irina Sidorkova
I don't particularly like Vettel, but 30th place seems harsh to me.
Exactly. His recent performance hasn’t been great but he’s won 4 championships in a row. Very few drivers have done that
Vettel is overrated. Only can make great results in good cars.
Hamilton is sooo overrated
@@michaelvianas You spell Hamilton wrong
@@aAaronbavl I certainly didn't
Timo Glock it's been selected by fans of Lewis
Italia?
Not for Felipe massa fans hahahahah
it's amazing how Senna is remembered even after 26 years of his death, and always in first place
He was truly an amazing driver. Not to even begin with how strangely compromized he was as a human being on top of that... One moment he was utterly ruthless and ready to have a big accident with a rival, the next moment he was ready to jump out of his car to help a fellow racer who's hurt...
a great driver , yes . but if he hadnt of died he would never have had the legendary reputation he has now . like all of the great stars of the past that died young , they where bigger after death . money money money .
look at the races with prost ?. they where about equel .
@@phil-zz5hk It's not just money, money, money. Plenty of drivers have died and aren't considered legendary. Yes it was a death at the peak of his career at the beginning of the television age, but he was also just a mesmerising and complex character. You can't just pooh-pooh the collective consciousness that decides that Senna is great or that Diana warranted mass mourning. It is telling you something if you listen, not just about the person lost but about those of us left behind. Schumacher was more successful statistically but didn't have the same heart or the drive to charity and organic faming, or the Brazilian playboy sex appeal, or the complex nature Senna did. I like them both very much and I wish Michael every healing possible but one is the stuff icons are made out of. Senna sat astride the fault line between modern Formula 1 and the gentleman racers of yesteryear. That's enthralling. The 90s were also the beginning of the end of an old world as we moved into the woke nightmare in which we now find ourselves. With Senna and Diana we knew we were mourning the end of an old order. We remember him so acutely because we remember who we were, how innocent we were.
It's not just sentimental feeling either. You can look up a bunch of different statistics and data and computer models they've run, and the #s and analytics always put senna as #1
Senna will remain number one for many years to come.
Kimi is Seventh, like his racing number.
Nailed it.
Same with Jean Alesi, in 27st
@@MatheusManzano 27th
I'm not sure how Patrick Tambay deserves to be behind Lella Lombardi or Jean Pierre Jarrier
Hamilton 14th and many British drivers above him. Says it all. In order to be ranked higher, people have to actually LIKE and RESPECT you. Hamilton fails miserably at both.
Senna is the number one! Best of all times
Surprised pastor Maldonado isn’t high on this list
By the way I’m super happy Senna was number one, for me he is the goat
Maldonado WTF , what a joke
@@DaDaRacingChannel Maldonaldo was a good driver, he won with Williams in 2012, he just had a lot of crashes
@@gabeitch7009 he won 1 race and had more than 80% of his retirements because of crashes
@@SeshvirSeodutt One race with williams and yes, mostly of his crashes were his fault
Whatever you guys say about Maldonado, he still is to date the last man to win for Williams. The goat 🗿.
Juan Manuel Fangio first ever 5th time world champion
I miss Max Verstappen.
He isn't really more significant, than Webber or Ricciardo.. Gerhard Berger... Barrichello.. Jean Alesi.. Ralf Schumacher..
Yeah he's fast in the right car, but haven't seemed to find that all important recipe.
And having a few wins in the bag would have him swimming somewhere at 50-60th spot.
If this was a official statement from F1, it would get more hype. Like the score if fifa games are somehow important in real life.. another cruel way to judge other humans, based on absolutely nothing
@@mortenfrosthansen84 dont know in which universe you follow F1, but with his age and a midfield car he is the only driver to challage Mercedes. And where you speak of Mercedes dominance its mainly the car and enginering.. but if you speak of RB people mention Max instead of Red Bull being competative.
And insiders like Riciardo will disagree with your statenent.
@@denr9577 I believe that red bull as a racing organisation, has much better changes of beating Mercedes.
And they could choose plenty of drivers in the attempt. Hamilton would be a good choice.
But for a list a great drivers, then he is way down the list. Maybe in 10 years, when he has had hopefully a fantastic career, we will look at him differently..
Jenson Button is very high on the list. And he pretty much only won at Brawn.. it's voted with the heart.
And there is many young drivers, who are followed by thousands, that could change this list significantly
@@denr9577 his age is a major influence also. There are many, as young as him on the list. With half his amount of races.. But they also had a short and explosive career..
Therefore people remember them.
I hope he makes a mark on the F1 history.
We need more crazy/genius personalities in sport. Where are all the Ronaldos, Alis and Zlatans of todays sport?
Do they get nailed by the media into silence or management?
@@mortenfrosthansen84 yes good plan. Lets swap Max and Hamilton. Then you will see Hamilton nowhere like every other RB driver exept Max for the last 3 seasons. What was the ranking of Albon and Gasly while racing a RB?.. Max even with his young age has revived personally the F1. Again also all insiders of the paddock agree on this
My personal favourite in terms of personality, character and speed: Mr Jean Alesi.
Finally someone that mentions Jean Alesi, where's him on the list?
@@gabeitch7009 he is 27th on the list
@@owl_lxvi ok thanks
@@gabeitch7009 don’t mention it
@@owl_lxvi oh ok, it's a good rate
i am honored to have the same name as 1 f1 legend
Senna is the best of history,
Alonso deserves higher tbh, the shit cars he had to put up on his career is unreal
he had some pretty good seats when you compare him to someone like alesi!
Stepladder
1. If so that is partly his *own* fault. He's nowhere as smart as Prost who saw which way teams were going.
2. This list isn't ranked after any arbitrary "he didn't get the car he deserved" list.
3. Gilles Villeneuve drove horrible cars and even won in them (the 1981 Ferrari has an awful chassis). This is why Enzo Ferrari called him:"The fastest driver I've ever seen."
4. The cream always rises to the top. The best drivers always end up in the best cars sooner or later. The best drivers also *work* with the team and engineer to develop the best car. The best drivers attract the best engineers and designers to work with them. Somebody like Schumacher had this quality. Nelson Piquet had it. Alonso does *not* . You're not just given the best car.
5. Alonso deserves *lower* he's not better than Nelson Piquet, Alberto Ascari and Mario Andretti (who won top class races from when he was 21 until he was 53. He also started on pole in his first ever F1 race in 1968 and was on pole in his last race in 1982 aged 42). Never mind Lewis Hamilton who holds all records in F1 and beat him as a rookie at McLaren in 2007.
Lauda, Piquet and Brabham all drove a lot of shit cars in their career. But they all managed to win their third title late in their careers through tenacity and hard work. Alonso beat an aging Schumacher, past his prime and thought his career was set for life...
@@paulallen8109 this list is ranked by which driver had the most fans. Hense why Hailton is so low. Alonso was to blame as why he ended up leaving good teams nealry all due to his attitude. However I dont think Shumacher was past his prime in 2005 or 2006 . he got pole at monaco 6 years later! Yes Hamilton beat Alonso but Hamilton is clearly the greatest driver of all time. Alonso did some pretty amaxing things in first season with Minardi and in his first full season with renault. clearly outpacing every team mate bar hamilton
@@steviegbcool Alonso is like 100 times better driver than Hamilton.
@@dosescopetastengo6581 idk, they were pretty much on the same level when they were driving the same car...
I often see people say that "senna is only #1 because he got killed". They've done a bunch of different computer models and analytics on this subject comparing drivers...and senna in almost every model I've seen always comes out as the unquestionable fastest driver
Especially doesn't make sense because Jim Clark, an arguably equal driver to senna, was also killed. So I believe senna deserves the no. 1 spot.
Fastest, yes. The greatest? Highly debatable, Prost regularly outscored him by being a more complete and consistent package. Schumacher and Hamilton were/are better at playing the percentages too.
@@azapro911 prost played the politics much better and found himself in a much quicker car with the Williams. When senna and prost were on the same team senna was clearly a better driver and should have won both 88 and 89.
@@aztronomy7457 Nobody said Prost wasn't a politician, but his greater economy with a car is also undeniable, 14 podiums with 1988 reliability standards is insane. He actually outscored Ayrton in both years they were team mates. As I say, it's more than raw speed.
@@azapro911 look at 1989 and how many races ayrton DNF due to engine or car troubles. Again, prost wouldn't have outscored senna in 89 if prost didn't deliberately force ayrton off the track in suzuka, only to lose then go cry to the officials that senna went through the barriers to complete the race. Senna against prost, in the same car on equal terms, was a better driver and this isn't up for debate. You could argue hamilton or schumacher are better, but prost was not and that should be clear.
Alesi #27... this number will always follow him ^^
Alesi was my favourite driver, 1995 was heartbreaking at Suzuka.
‘50 Fangio; ‘60 Clark; ‘70 Lauda; ‘80 Prost; ‘90 Senna; 00: Schumacher; 10: Hamilton...My personal seven gold drivers!
Gilles Villeneuve, 9 place on the qualifications ❤️
Fantastic driver my favourite
Gilles,Kimi, Nigel,Mika ahead of Alonso nd Hamilton even Stewart... ludicrous...nd Vettel on 30... extremely harsh... popularity contest nevertheless
The video's caption says it all.
The fans are clueless. This list is ridiculous on so many levels. Subscribe for more? Lol.
Not really because Norris isn’t in top 10
Hey leave Nigel Mansell out of this! And Hakkinnen. Agree with the rest.
Ask them about Gilles, he is a g.o.a.t
Ayrton Senna e Michael Schumacher The best ever
Jim Clark was a better driver than both…plus he never needed to deliberately ram his opponents off the track to win
Senna is the best driver Formula 1
3:15 Alan Jones is my favourite austrian F1 driver
Jochen Rindt is my favorite Austrian racer,
I can get behind this list. Although Vettel seems to be a bit too low considering he won 4 world championships and was absolutely rapid in that Red Bull. Bit disappointing since, but that doesn't take away from what he has achieved, being one of the most successful F1 drivers of all time.
Lella Lombardi?! Are you serious?)) Shame that in this top 100 list there is no place for such driver as David Purley
I agree, there were drivers who actually won races like Vitorrio Brambila who didn't make the list, but somebody who scored half a point did.
David Purley = 1 . Great man. Like from Czech republic
I see that Alan Jones is not Austrian he is a Australian mate ❤
That's It. Senna is the best.
IMO Schumacher and Senna should share first place. They are both the GOAT´s
If you put Schumacher up there you'll have to put Hamilton up there.
Ayrton Senna is the most iconic driver in F1 history.
Senna is undoubtedly the Best but Honestly this chart did not do justice to so many others!!
For me, the best (best, not most favourite) drivers are:
1. Michael Schumacher
2. Ayrton Senna
3. Juan Manuel Fangio
4. Alain Prost
5. Niki Lauda
6. Lewis Hamilton
7. Sebastian Vettel
8. Mika Hakkinen
9. Jim Clark
10. Jackie Stewart
For me, Pace and Moreno should be in the list
Great, make that list.
Satoru Nakajima: the best of history.
Kkkk
What were the criteria to be chosen? Popularity contest? Not that it's a problem but it would be nice to know.
Btw, I'm pretty darned sure that Panis' name is Olivier.
Tbh, I prefer your lists based on actual stats, not personal taste. Just MHO, everyone is entitled to their own. Hopefully you'll have many viewers enjoy it though.
Here is the data for this ranking.
amzn.to/2EyheT0
Rosberg should be way higher than 55
Kimi over Fernando Alonso and Hamilton? 🤣🤣
And Vettel, when Sebastian destroyed him between 2015 and 2018
aside from hamilton Its not that outrageous of a claim. kimi was a joy to watch in 2003-2005.
Yeah. Prime Kimi was the fastest driver of all time. Second to none. Of course because his career lasted so long, its easy to point at his weaker seasons. But in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2012 and 2013 as well as 2018 the guy was absolutely rapid. He came third in the drivers' standings in 2012 with the 5th best car (!) on the grid that year. Unprecedented!
It's obviously a popularity contest. It has some observable biases; especially at the lower part; and especially with so many recent drivers. It's a little harder to question at the top 20. But Vettel in 30? Really? Also why Lombardi? If you really want to introduce a woman driver, Wilson would be my choice.
Still I see some drivers ahead of where they should be and some below where they should be.
Also, are there reasons why only the current (2020) drivers who have been champions are mentioned? (Alonso, Kimi, Lewis and Vettel) I could make a case that Max, Leclerc and Ricciardo; maybe even Hulkenberg, could be already better than some of the ones featured there.
Funny that Jos Verstappen is in the list and Max Verstappen not.
its pretty easy to question the fucking top 20. Coulthard low, Villeneuve low (not Gilles), Irvine on 70th, Vettel 30th, dunno whoever can take this list seriously is a douche, end of story
Total popularity contest... and because HAM is black he polls lower.
@@Liofa73 have you seen any thread involving LH44, sorry, Sir Lewis Hamilton? Lulufans are faster than Lewis in Q3 in criticizing Max, Seb, Fernando, Danny, Leclerc... and you're the proof.
The vast majority of racing fans, drivers, ex-drivers, team leaders, mechanics, engineers, specialized journalists, find Senna the best driver in history.
SENNA -------> 1
This list is as logical as Alan Jones comes from Austria.
Most ridiculous list so far. And the reigning world champion didn't make the list???
My top 3(in chronological order)
Fangio
Clark
Senna
To complete the top 5:
Prost
Lauda or maybe Stewart, hard decision.
Me tol 5
SENNA
SCHUMACHER
FANGIO
CLARK
PIQUET
Hamilton
Senna
Schumacher
Fangio
Clark
Prost
Rene Arnoux is a lot better than several of the drivers listed above him.
Didnt see Jean-Pierre Jabouille and there is no reason for Keke Rosberg to be that far infront of Didier Pironi.
Gilles and Ayrton 🙌🏻
I think jacques villeneuve deserved at least top 20 given he almost beat Hill in his rookie season.
Hmmm I think Nico Rosberg should be higher. Alonso definately above both Kimi and Mika, for sure top 10 of all time.
Agree on Rosberg.
I wouldn’t put Alonso above Kimi and Mika personally, but there are a lot of drivers out of place
Why Nico?
I like how everybody seems to notice how overpowered that Mercedes is, given his and Lewis position
Nelson Piquet has to be in the top 5. He is a genius, he was twice champion without having the best car. He was the only one. And when he was champion for the third time, he was being boycotted by the team that wanted to give the title to the other. pilot, as he did the previous year.
THE VERY BEST OVERTAKE EVER
ruclips.net/video/AMKPJlV-srE/видео.html
Piquet vs Mansell - Amazing Overtake, 1986 Italian Grand Prix
ruclips.net/video/xFFArOxNdsw/видео.html
Lauda said that the Piquet was one of the most intelligent of the F-1
Nah, Piquet gets excluded for being an asshole. Even if he wasnt, he was still absolutely NOT a top 5 driver
I think Jacques Villeneuve should be higher. He got shafted with shitty cars, but if you watch his overtaking, he had balls like his father and the best of them. Guys like Shumi and Kimi were boring to watch not to mention his cheating and dirty driving and always had great cars.
For Sheer Balsy Courage, a Broad Range of Skills, Capabilities & Accomplishments second to none: the Late and Truly Great: Mr Niki Lauda.
Yes!
I’m not sure how official any of this really is. Each fan has their own list and that is what matters the most.
I think there is no real ranking. They are just pilots, they race each other. Sometimes one wins with a better car, and sometimes someone wins with better skills. Also the times they raced. Thats why we can't compare Fangio and Senna for example. Complete different cars.
Anyway i think fans did a really good job here
Hamilton 14th is impossible!!!
Agree
@Justin Y The Robber NO
This list is just a joke right? Lewis 14th, Clark 5th, Seb 30th, tf??? The only thing that’s right about this list is Senna is the greatest of all time. I do think Clark is arguably better, but no question that he’s at least 2nd with how unimaginably dominant he was in his time. Think Lewis, but without the reliable, unutterably dominant Mercedes and without a wingman. Statistically, Senna was better, but he wasn’t the cleanest driver, and Clark was extremely versatile and therefore in my eyes a more complete driver. He was almost boringly perfect in the mid 60s. 5th is too low.
Here’s how I’d rate the top 5:
1. Senna (or Clark)
2. Clark (or Senna)
3. Hamilton (unpopular but he’s unarguably an extraordinarily driver)
4. Schumacher
5. Fangio
Did I miss Max Verstappen ?
Simply the best!
Thanks😀
RIP Senna you will always be remembered
Wow the disrespect to nico rosberg
Heidfeld better than Nico Rosberg. Good one lol.
Senna... 👌
How can Rosberg be in the 55th with more 23 victories (Heidfeld is upper with 0 victories, as an example). Really, Sebastian Vettel number 30 with 4 titles, 57 poles, and 53 wins?? and 29 is a Bruce Mc Laren with 0 titles, 0 poles and just 4 victories. C'mon!!! Lewis Hamilton with 7 titles, more than 90 wins, number 14; this is kind of silly, even below Gilles Villeneuve. The thing I like most is the best, Ayrton Senna in the 1st spot and Schumacher in 2nd place, definitely Hamilton must be in the 3rd place (just for the numbers, the statistics he has) and Vettel and Alonso must be in the top ten. WHO WERE ASKED TO MAKE THIS THING?? Those people didn't know too much about F1, did they?
..here is my list in terms of the most gifted drivers .Alonso , Kubica , Senna , Stewart , Prost , Lauda and Fangio . It does not correspond to the list of champions but a merely reflects potentials of them all despite not driving the fastests cars in many cases .
For me Prost is the most "natural gifted driver" because he started karting at 15 while senna drove since his early chilhood
+ he had an unique driving style very smooth at the time
But maybe im biased because im french but it's my opinion
Scusa ma mi potresti dire L’app che usi per fare questi grafici?
😊
Gilles Villeneuve!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
please make a ranking with the drivers with more races played
SENNA El más grande de todos!!!
Patrick Depailler 86 ??? René Arnoux 60 ???
:-(
Alan Jones is AUSTRALIAN not Austrian, wrong flag!
Hamilton should be top 3.Senna is the 🐐 Imo aswell.
wtf is this man, hamilton, vettel and rosberg need to be higher
a seven times world champion, with the record for the most wins and for the most pole cannot be 14th
Jean Alesi 27th and Vettel 30th ??? Hamilton 14th and Raikkonen before Lauda??? The fans who voted have good drug i think :D
I agree it's a horrible list. Damon Hill 20th? I liked Damon Hill, but he definitely lacked confidence and raw speed when you got to the sharp end of the grid. Alesi was my favourite driver but there's no way he was better than Vettle or Rosberg. And Martin Brundle 94th? He was the only team mate ever close to Schumacher.
Of course Raikkonen before Lauda. Lauda was a decent driver but was mostly a team builder and car developer. Thats where his greatness came from. He brought in the right people who were able to improve his car with his help to a level where his driving skills were enough to win titles. He's definitely a great driver, but Kimi is on a whole different level. No driver has ever had the raw natural speed of Kimi from 2003, 2005 and the 2nd half of 2007, as well as 2012 and 2013. Not even close. Not to mention Kimi is almost unmatched in terms of driver involvement in car development, however doesn't do any team building.
I agree with you about Jean Alesi and Vettel though. Jean Alesi is underrated but definitely too high up on this particular list. And Vettel is top 15. Not quite as good as Kimi and Alonso, but like right behind them, since he lacks adaptability and doesn't really do team building, only car development and driving.
And yes, Hamilton is good there in 14th. Apart from his prime (2007 and 2008) he only won championships with far superior cars, where any driver could've won. The fact that it got so close in 2021 where he had the better car for half the season and an equal car for the other half just shows how he isn't really up there anymore and mostly being carried by the machinery. He's still one of the best of all time, but he also doesn't do any car development or team building whatsoever. So he isn't as well rounded a driver either.
Anyways, just my 2 cents and opinion. :D have a good one.
I just cant due to Wolfgang von Trips being so low on the list
stopped watching after seeing Nico Rosberg at 55th
Nelson Piquet the BEST
Senna makes number 1 on almost all lists.
But you ranked Nigel higher than Lewis. This is a Fan list and not a fact list. (I don’t like Sir Lewis, but I do respect him)
Here’s my list then:
1. Ayrton Senna
2. Michael Schumacher
3. Sir Lewis Hamilton
4. Juan Manuel Fangio
5. Alain Prost & Sebastian Vettel
6. Sir Jacky Stewart
7. Niki Lauda
8. Nelson Piquet Sr
9. Fernando Alonso
10. Max Verstappen & Gilles Villeneuve
Hamilton and Vettel are ridiculous top 10
Right.
Senna 🤩😍👑🇧🇷🥇🏎
Senna 🇧🇷& 🇨🇵Prost ... duel 👌❤
Piquet was much better than Mansell (lost two titles while against Piquet, Piquet won 1), Lauda, Mika, kimi, Villeneuve and Alonso.. NO DOUBT.
How old is this poll? Just a lot of recent (up to 2020) drivers are completely missing (Max Verstappen being the obvious one but also others like Ricciardo, Perez, Leclerc, Sainz, Bottas etc). Also I'm sure Hamilton would be much higher than 14th if done in 2020.
Alan Jones is Australian not Austrian
Kimi of course 7
This list was made in April 2010
82 is a picture of François Cevert not Jean Pierre Jarier !
As a long time Senna fanboy who recently rewatched all those races i've changed my mind. Alain Prost number 1 and the best! And i agree with those who think Lauda should be higher, at least top 5.
Prost had a LOT of help winning the titles from the biased French director of the FIA at the time.
And where is Trintignant, 2 times Monaco GP winner ??
Michael Schumacher is far away better than anyone.
Why is Niki Laudo 10th
Where’s Riccardo, Verstappen, Leclerc, Nico Rosberg
Bit early for the first three. Rosberg is on there but weirdly low.
idk where they came up with some of these positions lmao
im happy to see Hamilton so far down, hes extremely overrated in the current f1-fanbase because of recency bias and because of the mercedes domination
Hamilton 14th people must really hate him lol
This is an awful list. Should be called "people vote on their favourite drivers" Martin Brundle in at 94!? I don't think so. If you don't count Rosberg, he was the only team mate to ever keep Schumacher honest! And Damon Hill in at 20!? Definitely not. A very good driver yes, but definitely not world class. Almost beaten by rookie Jaques V in 96, and then dropped by Jordan in 99. God what an awful list.
The real and unquestionable top 10:
1- Ayrton Senna.
2- Michael Schumacher.
3- Jim Clark.
4- Juan Manuel Fangio.
5- Gilles Villeneuve.
6- Alain Prost.
7- Niki Lauda.
8- Mika Häkkinen.
9- Fernando Alonso.
10- Lewis Hamilton.
This is completely real bro, you have to accept it!
Kubica proud of Poland
Rosberg 55? Is a joke?
Mate seb could prolly improve this year
thanks
Kimi is very good driver especially around 2000s, feeling bad for him losing to schumacher in 2003.He should get at least 3 wdc
Stefan Bellof at 38th Position... Yikes!!
Prost is better driver than senna
