Scion xB 2nd Gen RS 9.0 Rear Emblem Install

- In this video, I installed a legit LED rear emblem from a 2012 Scion xB Release Series 9.0 onto my 2011 Scion xB Release Series 8.0. I got this from a guy on Instagram who was pretty involved in the xB community especially when he did his conversion on his RS 9.0 to a JDM spec Toyota Corolla Rumion. In a future video, I will be installing the front emblem and will show all the wiring so stay tuned for that.

Could you just tap off the license plate light wires as well?
You know that is honestly a great idea I didn’t think of that! Like for real tho it would’ve been so easy. The only reason I did this method how I did it was if you wanted to configure it as a 4th brake light. I watched another RUclipsr do that to his box. He said you could just use the other wire if you wanted it as a parking light. But seriously that’s just a couple inches away from the bulbs that’s craaazy.

You gain a subscriber, if you do a full detail of the xB exterior with foam cannon, paint correction, interior and wheels trust me is a good video to gain traction
I had an RS9 that I had to trade away for my current 2015. Silly as it is, having light up emblems was one of my favorite features! I'd love to find these and add them to my 2015. BTW, on the RS9 the front logo lights up as well - it would be interesting to see how you wire that one up.
Awwww that’s saaad but yesss the light up badges are sooo coool!! I’ll definitely show that off in a future video. My next project for the box are the OEM illuminated door sills 👌🏽
@@LuminousPlasma Oh man, that's another project I'd love to do on mine. But all these illuminated parts are so frigging expensive for someone on a fixed income. :-(

Why dint you just tap on the license plate lights? Alot easier.
I know I know it’s because some dude I watched two years ago tapped into the actual brake light for his emblem to make it a 4th brake light and said to use the other wire if you wanted it on with the parking lights. I just completed overlooked that part but yeah it’s like a couple inches away and would’ve been soooo ez

Hello. I found one of these badges at the local junkyard. It comes with 3 wires, red,black,white. When powering the red and black I get the scion center logo to glow white, but trying to use the white wire doesnt do anything. I think the white wire is for the blue effect as these have two different LED in them from what I have seen from videos on the net. Just wondering if you had any solutions for this. Thank you :)
