+Do you remember? They sure can learn a lot from these events. You can walk around the cars, hear them, see them and touch them. This whole experience would be impossible in current F1. Unless you are a celebrity or have a lot of money.
I experienced the 312T4 racing in the USGP at Watkins Glen, back in the late 1970s. Is my memory faulty, or did the flat 12 rev a lot higher than what I'm hearing in this video? Could it be the drivers are keeping the revs lower on purpose? Given the vintage aspect, I suppose that would be sensible. Engine refreshes are likely to be horrifically expensive, and parts are probably not even available anymore. Still, it sounds more like an endurance engine than an F1 engine here.
Thanks, Volante79. I did a little searching and found the specs for the engine: 515 BHP @ 12,300 RPM, which means it was revved to at least 12,500 in its day. My memory isn't faulty after all. The exhaust note, at the time, reminded me of an Italian Opera Tenor!
Those ending sounds + full volume gave me chills XD Thanks for uploading :)
Richard H Thank you, no problem!
p
Back when F1 cars had proper engines. unlike today :(
Richard H Yeah, they say the V6 turbo will be louder in the future. But it will never be a V10 or V12.
Volante79 They just need to bring back the raw engines. These engines they use today are toooooo quiet. Damn eco technology......
Richard H I know, they have to stop with fuel saving during the race.
Can you just imagine the 310B or 399 out on the open roads.....like just let me take it from one exit to another and back again...twice.
I was there too! Perhaps we should invite Jean Todt and Bernie to an event like this? It might be an eye-opener!

Yes, there is red tape on the tachometer at 10.500 rpm. So the engine can last a lot longer. Full video here: ruclips.net/video/96Y1MUkq8PE/видео.html

Heel erg mooi, helaas was ik er de tweede dag en was de V10 en V12 412 niet echt in actie.

126C2 is THE BEST FERRARI F1 EVER MADE
Is there a company that still produces all those different tires?
Avon for the pre 90’s tires. Most likely the same brands who made the originals that were 90’s to now
126c2 the best
when do you go
+Roan Chart I think it's once every 2 years. So 2017 I believe at Spa Francorchamps or another track..
