I decided on this set over the limited edition set. My season 4 case is defective none of the discs snap into the disc holders so they sit loosely in the case, frustrating! Still excited to watch series in entirety!
How was your season 4 in general if you don’t mind me asking?

they relased only season one and eight on 4k but not rest off it and i think is pretty stupid and lezy overtizement
i own the bluray set of the series and it visually looked stunning on a 4k tv playing on a 4k bluray player! there's no need to get the 4k edition.

Those loose disks are a problem with many box sets. If you want the best quality, buy the individual seasons. You also get the packets, and they're built much better. I just bought 1-8, the individual sets from someone, great condition, only downside is that they take up a little more space but worth it. I hope you are enjoying it.
I ended up getting the custom made limited edition blu ray set and it’s so much better! Definitely worth the extra $50!!!
It looks nice but it's way too big, i twould never fit on my shelf with all my other blu rays.
Thanks for the review when the holders break like that it is so annoying one thing that I noticed that was different is Season 1 - 3 in other box sets have 5 discs where as in this set they only have 4 discs just checked an old season 1 blu ray and on that Episode 6 and 10 had a disc on its own here they have Episode 6-10 on 2 discs instead of 3
A very nice set if it wasn't for the appalling condition it arrived it! Definitely would not accept that not even if it was cheap which this certainly isn't!
I must admit that one of the things I dislike about buying season boxsets as a collector of physical media is the way the manufacturers change the design of the box each year so they do not match on the shelf. This happened with The Walking Dead which seems to use a different design each season but it has also happened with Game of Thrones as well. I confess that I have rebought full season boxsets of TV shows just to have a smaller, better packaged version with consistent design. I did it with Heroes and Battlestar Galactica for example. The manufacturers must absolutely love idiots like me!!! lol

Ouissam It’s majorly dented in several places. Considering it’s $235 on Amazon.com and it’s a pretty much a collector’s item that many want to keep for the visual effect as well as the actual content, I’d say that’s pretty bad.
Buy at Walmart it’s 159 and their in good condition
My set came in good condition but Amazon definitely put it in an oversized box and couldn't believe it was fine after seeing how they shipped it.

I just brought the 4K box set always playing with fire with the sets and the cheap plastic only damage I had was a piece broke of the case on the special features blu ray case! I own all 8 seasons on blu ray with the original cases they put so much more love into those lmao
4K sets stack two disc aside not a fan of that but knowing how easy the shell cases break i thought I probably avoided a bunch of breakage at least lol

Thank GOD I waited for the vastly superior 4k version. Just had to say that, because the packaging of this version was sad. That collector's edition was awesome, granted, but they half assed the regular version so hard.

I would stay away from box sets, usually not built well, loose disks, etc. It is better to purchase the individual seasons. They're built better and come with more features, for Game of Thrones you get extra stuff like packets, etc if you buy them individually. Only downside is that they take up a little more space. Most box sets, they just throw the disks in one box, not much care into them, unless you get the more expensive deluxe sets, just for future reference.

I bought this set on ebay junk! Brand new and a 3rd of the blu ray discs don't even play says error requesting a return
Buy the individual seasons, most box sets aren't built well, not much care goes into them unless you purchase the more expensive deluxe sets, in most cases the individual disks come with more features and they actually care about the quality, they're built much better. Just for future reference. I've had my experiences with box sets, a lot of the time they just throw the disks in one box, not giving a sh*t, I'm telling facts. I just bought GOT seasons 1-8, the individual seasons all in one package from someone, will take up a little more space but worth it. Plus I get the packets.

I’ve seen an unboxing in German where the overall box looked the same, but instead of the cheap blu-ray boxes, it had beautiful digipacks... probably only for Europe, right?

Is the one you have this exact same one here? www.amazon.com/dp/B07QGL9ZT4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_okt5FbKH8HXWD?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 I'm just very confused because if you go to the link you'll see that Amazon is now showing this warning that the discs may not play in Northamerica, Centralamerica and Southamerica (Region A) which is RIDICULOUS given that this is the US VERSION and they're selling it within the same region they're saying you can't play it on, it doesn't make ANY SENSE. Amazon has this section on their website where they say that all the Bluray discs sold on Amazon.com (not Amazon Europe or asia) are region A which is obvious because, for example, if you wanted to get an Italian version of this set you would just go to Amazon.it or a different version of the amazon website according to the region you're located at. I'm currently living here in Southamerica, I have a region A sony bluray player and I want to buy this set but I just need to be sure that it will work and that this warning they have is just an error and not real. Thanks :)

Held off buying any of the Bluray for 9 years so I could buy it as a full set... then came April 2019 and season 8...
