I remember the day this came out in 2019, and I literally sat there in tears watching and listening to Freddie Mercury again, so crisp and clear. I was in high school when he passed away, and it blows my mind that it's been 30 years since then come this November. I've been a Freddie/Queen fan literally all my life, and this really felt like a beautiful gift that was buried away, waiting for the perfect time to bless us with Freddie again. Never been anyone like Freddie, and never will again. He really was the epitome of a showman, and yeah, you could see, feel and hear every emotion that man experienced every time he opened his mouth. Brilliant artist and forever one of my faves.
My God! His voice is magical and it's a mystical gift. By the way, Freddiel hasn't really had any professional voice training. It all came from his great heart, a natural gift. This was and is his phenomenon. Great reaction as always. Thank you!
There's no going back now David, Freddie will be in your heart forever. There is still so so much more for you to discover of this inimitable talent.....he was and will always be a bonafide God.
I don't know if you know but this vocal is the demo version. He was asked to sing it, he sang it through in one (this was him singing it first time). They lost the vocal and recently found it, redid the piano and this is the result
David! So much charisma! I'm talking about YOU. You project so much, which is why you have so many fans and why we can't wait for your next reaction to our favorite band. Seriously, there is no one who even comes close . So thank you and I can't wait for the next one. I hope it will be Bicycle Race. +
Just 👍 great reaction!!your enthusiasm to queen and ilove to listen to your reaction to queen because you appreciate freddie (queen)as it should be he is nothing you can compare to any singer ever
This was rediscovered in 2019 by Dave Clark, believe it or not this was an early rehearsal tape and wasn't the final version! The version that was used is out on RUclips called just "Time". There is a great "making of" video somewhere as well. It was filmed on the stage set for the show. The other version is more gospel with a choir, but I love this version because it is just Freddie and piano, with no place to hide it shows his incredible talent. Any hope for "The Great Pretender?"
I'm loving your reaction, and I am with you every step of the way. Freddie Mercury's ability to convey passion through his voice and his music is so beautiful. This is an incredible performance. "Captivating" you said, and it is.
Fantastic reaction. Seems to me aspiring musicians would do well to give your comments serious attention. Thanks for these beautiful moments with you and Freddie.
I’m so glad I can still bring up David’s reactions to Queen. Hands down the best reactor ever . Missing Freddie so here’s the one to come to to hear Freddie and Queen❤️
"His heart beats right through his music." Very choice words friend across the ocean. He is the passion you hear. And it was great when this was re-released stripped down to the core: Freddie.
Freddie is singing this song so effortlessly. 🎤🕊🤴He can sing anything literary.🌹 I think ,that we are wasting our time with overthinking things doing silly things waiting for partner to turn up. Time is most valuable thing and Freddie knew it ❤💗🌹

Oh wow David! I saw this notification on my phone but again had to wait to finish work before I could play it.....bloody work! How dare it get in the way of your reactions! I knew when you heard this how you would react....it get's to me the same. This is on a par with In My Defense. When Dave Clark released this it was like a gift from Heaven.....like Freddie was back. Loved your reaction to this......and to that machine gun vibrato! Thank you so much 💕💕💕

This song, and the song In My Defence, was written by Dave Clark (famous for being the founder of The Dave Clark Five in the 60's) for his musical Time. Freddie agreed to record them for the album of Time, and that's how he and Dave Clark became good friends.

What a great song. The words so true, and our beloved Freddie brought it to life. He gets into his songs and gives them great meaning. Miss you Freddie!
Loved loved your reaction to this brilliant 👍👍 the original you can only hear that all all all bit so faint so it's fantastic it's so clear on this. When this got released and done by Dave Clarke all fans was saying its like Freddie has come down from heaven to sing this. The other Freddie song from the musical "Time" by Dave Clark. "In My Defence" is the other one. "Clark was a close friend of Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury, whom he had known since 1976. He was by Mercury's bedside when the Queen singer died on 24 November 1991."
Lovely reaction David! Such a shame, that we don't have more than a few "making of ..." videos with Freddie. It would be so interesting to see how he put it together, how he sang this beautiful song at the recording process. Mint reaction as per mate. Try the great pretender by Freddie from the 90s. Its not queen per say but it may as well have been got . Its got the harmonies a even a guitar solo. One of his best 90s vocals.. Also try a hero from the 'flash soundtrack. The live one from Milton Keynes. Its the opening song. Great reaction to a beautiful song. Yes it's a shock seeing Freddie in HD. Great production and piano. It will be hard to find a better vocal performance from anyone ever. It will be a disappointment listening to the original Time now.
This was not a Mercury creation. It was part of a musical stage show production by his friend Dave Clark w asked Freddie to do a song for the soundtrack album. That was In My Defense. Hey David the empire pool Wembley (wembley arena)I used to work there David 👍.The pool is still there intact underneath the arena.I was blown away when I was first shown it!!.I never saw them in 77 but I thought that there was something very special about their performances in 77 . David Queen actually opened the NEC in 79 .79 at Alexander palace was the first time I got to see Queen.Stay safe mate all the best buddy 👍
I cannot believe this is a demo and that Dave Clarke found after so much time as he did! The piano work he added was absolutely magical. Thank you for this. Your reactions are great and emotional filled. Take care.
There is another version of this, it's from the musical Time he also sang with Sir Cliff Richard who was also in it, you'll find some audio of the musical on RUclips, I think this was 1986 written by Dave Clarke of The Dave Clarke Five
Maybe Brian got his epitaph wrong. Not a singer of songs, but performer of songs! Every time! Loved your reaction to this one 👏👏👏 Great insight, as usual.
You explain so 👍 great the feelings all the fans feel ,you get in to small details but so true what people live about this genius :freddie and his perfection in every song and show is because of his feeling to music just a master can be forgotten
Loved the reaction. You are so spot on with Freddie bringing the emotions to the music. I was watching a singer not long ago and technically they were a perfect singer but there was no emotion or passion to it and I honestly I would never listen to that technically perfect singer again. It was so boring to watch and listen too. It takes so much more than just the technicalities of singing to be an amazing singer. I have such high standards for music because of Queen and Freddie. Their music you can feel not just hear.
David can you react to You Take My Breath Away official lyric video? You may have done it before but the harmonies are so amazing I would love to hear your reaction. Thanks:)

@@michaelmalone3089 I'm eventually going to Alexander Palace for the first time next Thursday
@@allanriach what's the event Allan?
@@michaelmalone3089 it's Tom Grennan. My 4th and last gig on this tour.
@@allanriach wow 👍 enjoy Allan 👏 hopefully we can talk soon about the Roger Taylor gig👍
I cannot believe this is a demo and that Dave Clarke found after so much time as he did! The piano work he added was absolutely magical. Thank you for this. Your reactions are great and emotional filled. Take care.
Missed him by 5 minutes walking into the theater at the premier of this musical back in 1986. Gutted.
😱😱 gutted 😭😞 I would have been aswell
Heart goes out to you JoJo 😔
There is another version of this, it's from the musical Time he also sang with Sir Cliff Richard who was also in it, you'll find some audio of the musical on RUclips, I think this was 1986 written by Dave Clarke of The Dave Clarke Five
Thanks David. Love your emotions.
Maybe Brian got his epitaph wrong. Not a singer of songs, but performer of songs! Every time! Loved your reaction to this one 👏👏👏 Great insight, as usual.
I always thought that as well.
@@allanriach fair comments Louise and Allan 👏
Another great reaction
Yours is a fantastic reaction. It's so wonderful to watch someone who appreciates music (and Freddie and Queen) like you do. JackThatBack!
You explain so 👍 great the feelings all the fans feel ,you get in to small details but so true what people live about this genius :freddie and his perfection in every song and show is because of his feeling to music just a master can be forgotten
Since you are doing solo projects. Have you seen Brian's remastered (OK really a whole new) video of "Back to the Light"? It's pretty damn cool!
Dang it I forgot today was Thursday Thank you David 🙏💖🌹👑♾️💓🦋🥰🤘🤘👏👏🐲🐉✌️
this is the piano version, if you bring up the album time you get the full orchestral version
Brilliant review, David! Nothing gets by you. Love the song and I’ve listened to your lyrical breakdown numerous times. Well done👑🙋🏽♀️✌🏾
Great job❤️
Time really was running out for Freddie. :-(
David can you react to You Take My Breath Away official lyric video? You may have done it before but the harmonies are so amazing I would love to hear your reaction. Thanks:)
Ha.. I can’t believe how many times you “jack it back”... exactly when I was going .. ahhhhhh :). ❤️❤️❤️
You have to do Freddie's Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow.
Awesome reaction David! I knew you'd like this one since you enjoyed In My Defense.
You should check out this interview with Freddie and Dave Clark about this project (Time musical): ruclips.net/video/4KRnbDiNZsI/видео.html Very interesting
Great interview. Thank you for posting the link.
React please to "I can't live without you" underrated song. cheers from🇵🇹
Is there any one else who could do this? Do n'ot think so!!!
