GT350 Review: • The Last Shelby GT350 ... Авто/Мото
As a 350 owner, This is true.
Hahaha. As a 350 owner, I just liked the sound of the 350 more.
Any guy that says they bought a dual clutch cause its “faster” is feminine
How much of a difference is it between a 350 and decked out GT? I’m currently in the market for both
@random_guy9749 the 350 you can rap out to 8250 rpm it's only got the tremek 6 speed not that mt82 garbage. Now I got the 350 because at the time when I got mine it was cheaper than a fully decked out gt. The dealership has like 3 or 4 gt350s left over so that's why I got it, and glad I did. I love the stupid car. The only other mustang I had was my 71boss 351 and its a complete night and day difference between the two.
@@brianwilson483 thank you appreciate the respond
I would be the 350 owner 😂😂
I owned a 350 and now own a 500. Really wish a manual was an option on the 500 .
Do you daily the gt500?
And did you daily the gt350?
@@fluffythenut4615yep
@@fluffythenut4615i used to daily my gt350, but mine burnt too much oil to keep daily driving it. i sold it and got a 2014 gt500 and i couldn’t be happier
@@tornado_dude2039 so far for the last 9,000 miles my gt350 hasn’t had any issues with the oil. But a gt500 seems like a better daily driver, the gt350 responds better as a weekend cruise / track car.
@@fluffythenut4615 gt350 also had quality control issues.
My '13 Boss 302 has served me well. Bought it off the lot 10 years ago brand new. 444 Horsepower, plenty of power on the streets of NJ. Getrag MT-82 6-speed can be a bit temperamental at times, but just have to be on top of the 2-3 shift and it is cooperative.
Oh, and always use track key, and the side pipes provide unique but genuine Mustang music for the ears!
Me looking at the gt500 and shaking my manual shifter in my 2007 Hyundai accent 😎🤣🤣
I'm joining you but with my 07 focus zx4
Both are awesome because they are manual
I've owned and tracked both. Both are very different to drive. I put 28k miles on my gt350r enjoyed every mile, but so far I've enjoyed my 9k in my gt500 way more.
The 350 sound tho
The both sound fucking amazing, but the best sounding car in my area I’m ngl is this avalanche 350 thing sounds so nasty
They didn't want to be warranting the transmission from guy's blowing it up
Lol I wonder if you're right
Basically why I chose a 350 over something like a charger
Yeah, can’t believe they never made a manual Charger in the modern versions.
I bought a mustang gt 10 speed. I never liked manual cars. But whenever i am driving my 10 speed gt on highways i prefer using the paddles. Coz you can easily control the car, your speed without using the brakes a lot. Its just feels like u are in control of the vehicle. Now i am more of manual person, i need to trade this for a manual darkhorse if there is any.
GT500 may have more hp but a GT350 is special. Can't touch this
I love the 350 more because of the Voodoo V8. But the manual is a huge bonus 🤷♂️
Honestly after like 600 hp automatic just makes sense
meanwhile there are gt350's pushing north of 1300hp while still rocking six speed
@aestheticswim3397
Custom built cars that are probably only good for drag racing, yeah. But the GT500 wasn’t built for drag racing, it was built for tracks that require greater focus from the driver in terms of steering, which drag racing instead demands a focus on shifting.
@@commonmockery1074 I just close my eyes and hope for the best
This sums it up perfectly!
That's is a beautiful car love the green color on it
i owned a 2017 gt350 but it had horrible oil consumption. ford tried to tell me it would be 29k for a gen 2, so i said screw it and bought a 2014 gt500 😂 manual transmission and a supercharger
Best of both worlds, what if Ford offered both options like how Porsche does with the 911 GT3
09 GT500KR 😎 that's one of the last true Shelby's not a Ford Shelby which hell I'll take anything gt and up love mustangs
I love mustangs but haven’t learned to drive manual yet 😩😩
Love my 500……but after driving a 350 not long ago I’d love to ADD it to the stable
Manual is a thing of the past, get with the times, better performance
Only cause you do not know how to drive one.
Only cause manuals are now slower than automatics.
Just buy a 350 slap a Whipple on it and then tune it
Why I LOVE my 2014 GT500. 10 years in and its still a blast to drive.
Pretty sure you can supercharge the 350 😂
If you want your engine to blow up quickly then yes you can.
Good job, dude.
I'm satisfied with upgrading the 2014 both are amazing
*signature look of superiority*
as a man I confirm 100 times over the 350R would be my choice
Flat plane crank too
My thoughts exactly!!!😂😂😂😂❤❤
And the 350’s looks about 23,7 times better
not at all. they’re overpriced and slow
@Just A Broke Redneck the GT350 ain't slow by any means💀. Not exactly the quickest car ever but it's still fast in its own right.
Nope it's slow. The GT is quicker, and the GT 500 blows it away, and they're both more reliable.
@@shaneallen437 paying 3x the price as a normal gt with the pp you’d expect more than what it does. with a good driver in a gt it’s just comes down to who gets the jump
@@justabrokeredneckthat’s why a gt350 ain’t a straight line car lmao
I have both and someone always asks which one I like better, I don’t have to choose I have both 😄
Came to talk crap on ferd...Ferdinand.... but in reality, this is the same conversation with a buddy about him going out of his way to find an auto version of the 556hp camero. Shift times matter in a straight line, for a fraction of a second, with wrinkle walls.... and kill your fun otherwise. Weird turn of fate found me in a 392 challenger, but thats a whole other conversation.
Because a car isn’t reaching its highest potential when you have a manual transmission
Ill take the performance over having a manual. And having only owned manuals (2003 Cobra, 2012 5.0, 2012 Boss 302 Laguna Seca) thats saying something. The DCT was my only hesitation when it came down to a 350 or 500 and honestly looking back cant even believe it was a debate. GT500 is levels above the 350 performance wise. Zero regrets.
Idk man, everytime I drive an automatic performance car, I wonder "what's the point?". The 500 does have enough power where most people can't be bothered to clutch and shift anyway so I understand ford's decision. Might as well buy a tesla plaid though if I want the car to do the fun parts.
I would still go for the manual!!
Right on. If going to take away 1/4 or what makes driving fun to me (gas, break, steer, shift) just give me something that'll do it all. If I could afford a gt500 id get a plaid and a manual for my fun car.
As of this week I am now the owner of two 350's. The 350 sounds better, is more bespoke/unique, and is more engaging to drive. I'm sure you could have gotten into a Plaid for cheaper than you bought your 500. If someone gave me $500k and told me I had to spend it on cars, I'd buy a few GT350's and a manual 2023 911 GT3. Although I can appreciate the supercharged American muscle, I can't see myself ever choosing a 500 over the 350.
@@ryang9113 Bespoke? Unique? You can find them in the 3x,000 range all beat up now. Try finding a GT500 under 7x,000 not a lemon. Put your money where your mouth is. The 500 was designed to fix all the problems the 350 had and take it further. You can’t make the argument for sound either, the 500 literally has the Voodoo block with forged internals and can redline up to 8,200 (rev limiter lifted) and the 2650 blower sounds absolutely insane with headers. If you cared so much about a manual car, the ZL1 1LE absolutely demolishes the 350.
Lol
If you want a manual go for the super snake
I have a 350 but would like to know what a 350 with a DCT would feel like. Gear ratios too tall in the Tremec IMO.
I think because it's track focused and don't want your ass end letting loose coming out of a turn. I always wanted to see what these things would do with straight line gears.
Exactly
Because grandpas old manual shifter will eviscerate at around 580 horsepower
Which one is faster? Enough said
Hahaha
You do not want a manual in a car over 700hp
You mean like every race car out there
Lol.. actually I can do the same with my 5.0 Coyote 😆😆..yeah the manuals... there's less to care about the rest
Hey Ben Hardy, I do know that you did use to own a GT350!
Its not the 70s anymore folks, thats why you see any car pushing more than 700 jp rocking auto cars... and begore younsay manuals better no matter what, people are using the paddles 90 percent of the time same control over gears no human error
I’m just gonna get both F it
buy a 350 put a whipple on it and theew you have it. the perfect mustang
I went with my gt350 just for this reason!! I love a manual, but the new generation out there usually can't drive a manual. Ford catered to the modern times I guess.
And made them easier to steal
You referring to which new generation? Automatics are a dam luxury here by us. Only got manual.
Yeah just like they caved and put synchronized transmission in cars real men don’t need that to be in touch with their car
Theft deterent that the 500 doesn't have
IKR?! 99% of drivers today have no idea how to drive a clutch, let alone a high performance clutch.
Dangit, why didn't you make slower Ford?
Whipple the 350 and see what happens
What happens is you'll blow it up and have an expensive rebuild on your hands.
@@davescott9409 How can you blow it up if the tune is spot on and have the correct supporting mods.
The GT500 without a manual is just sacrilegious I'd never own one
Like you could afford it 😂
All I can see is your hair. What is happening up there?
Yeah I'd rather the 350
Real men use 3 pedals!! And it's a great Melinial theft deterrent! And just way more fun come track day especially when you have over 700 horsepower!!
Because nothing out shifts an automatic!
Negative.
Exactly, the 10 speed auto is the way to go for quick shifts and reliability. Any more, manuals are just another way to be slow.
@@davescott9409u did not just say ford “10 speed” and “reliable” in the same sentence 😂
@@vokaynot wrong, but it doesn’t have a 10 speed auto, it has a dual clutch which I think is an 8 speed if I’m not mistaken.
😂😂😂😂
Damn straight and 350's sound much much better. Especially in the Canyons or the hills. Love it.
Give me an 09 gt500
I could never go to a gt350 from a 500
But what about reliability?
If you want reliability, buy a Camaro, if you can stand the claustrophobic interior and tiny trunk.
@@davescott9409 Cameo IMO looks better sometimes... But I prefer the sound of the mustang... I've just heard bad things about the gt350
@@raceboy9517 I prefer the looks, interior, and trunk space of the Mustang, but I prefer the Camaro SS engine over the GT or GT350 engines. Tick, tick, tick, etc.
They didn’t offer the new Gt500 with a six speed manual probably because they didn’t wanna have to warranty every other one that was sold because the owner sucked at driving a car that powerful with a manual transmission.😂😂😂😂😂 and I’ve driven a few GT 350s. Slowest most boring car ever barely a step above a regular mustang GT.
I only own a 5.0 so I guess I can't comment 😅
He’s speaking the language of the gods
Wish there was a dual clutch In the 350
Y’all can keep the manuals. I’ll take the extra 230HP and the faster 10 speed. The GT500 is simply the best Mustang ever made
DCT>manual
Manuals are funner
More fun*
They're not much fun when: you're stuck in traffic, you blow the shift, your second gear synchro
wears out, your clutch bearing starts to whine, your clutch wears and starts slipping, you break a shift fork, or when you get beat by an automatic.
Other than all that, manuals are great.
Also, "funner" is not a word.
real men drive only manual
I truly miss driving a clutch. But as I've gotten older, not in stop and go traffic for an hour. That's when I really appreciate paddle shifters.
Real men aren't narrow minded and only consider one option.
Gt500 > gt350. Sorry, manual is overrated
Fun until they blow up at 20k miles 🤡
It's a high maintenance motor, but if you maintain it you'll probably be fine
Ford and Dodge are getting their buts kicked by Chevy. The format of massive hp, two wheel drive and two ton cars is for the dinosaurs. A c8 z06 with just 670 hp ran 10.16 then 9.98! The 2025 zr1 with 850hp will prolly be an 8 second car, maybe even sub 8! Wake up Ford! Smoking the tires and mean growl then getting beat by even a z06 or almost any Tesla will be a humbling experience.
Yeah but your comparing apples to oranges to feel good
It’s a corvette dawg! It better be smoking ford and dodge cars. The only non drag cars of ford and dodge, the ford gt and the dodge viper acr are the only cars from those two manufacturers that’ll make the vette work on equal play fields
Your comparing a challenger and mustang to a corvette? Are you good bro
@@slapdatcheese8415 lmao right I like how he just doesn’t mention the Camaro. You know the car actually in the same class😂😂
@@joshdaniel7894 Chevy cheerleaders loves comparing Corvettes to Mustangs cuz they knew Camaro always get beat by Mustang stock for stock especially 10r80 5.0's
They always cheer up when a lighter Corvette beats a heavier Mustang, and then when a Mustang annihilated a Corvette when it comes to mod to mod they all gets mad and butthurt 😂🤣
