    2 Thumbs up Lee. You have done a super job on taking a sow's ear & turning it into a silk purse.
    Congratulations on adding a new member to the LG Speed Family. My best to you & Shannon.
    Take care,
    Rick

    Good progress there! What i would do if it was my car?
    Well, i would open the can of worms from the bottom. Fix the floors, subrails etc, before putting the body back on the frame. That way i would not have to get the body off the frame, when opening rest of the can of worms.
    Keep it up!

    Hey Lee, as a work in progress car, instead of a black primer, give thought to using a satin paint, Blue, Black, Red, or ???? it looks cool, and you can work on the car, and touch it up anytime, just a suggestion. Have a great weekend. Skooter....:-)

    • @LGKustoms
      @LGKustoms  Год назад

      I like the idea of a satin paint too. But satin paint is just regular paint with satin clear, and the prep work is the same as shiny paint. So might as well spray shiny paint at that point.

    The Imron paint on the chassis looks pretty good for just being a semi - gloss ----- Noted though -- the large C-clamp with no foot --- I know the ball end can walk on you --- maybe slide off --- The frame with the Flat Head color will look really good once all is back together ---------- I had asked about your sewing machine -- what model --- you didn't know ------- as you videoed at the end of things as you do -- you had a close up -- of the model -- small plate just above the table top on the main part of the body --- just no close enough for me to read, #________________ You use the Foam ( sorry don't remember the name ) to make the Rolls --- puffy ---- do you know ---- or can you measure for me what the height of you Presser Foot is? ---- You have foam then -- material -- then material with foam on top of that -- that you sew all together --- The Presser Foot has to let all that pass under -- to be sewn up ------------ It is expensive to have someone sew up a '30 Coupe -- and just as bad to buy a kit ---- I get / feel good -- when I can do it myself -- Body / Paint / Mechanical -- and hopefully Upholstery ---- It may not be perfect --- BUT --- i did it --- and it makes you feel good
    Sorry for asking you again on the Sewing Machine --- Can not afford to buy an expensive one ---- I just need to know -- when you sew all that material together what is the --- GAP --- that is under the Foot --- to pass the material through ------ Thank You --- Enjoy watching your Videos on these Old Cars ------ Rodney

    • @LGKustoms
      @LGKustoms  Год назад

      My machine is a Singer 111G156. I don’t think I’d worry to much about finding my exact machine. Industrial machines are all very similar. You want a walking foot, and reverse so you can do a lock stitch, which are both very common features.

    • @rscruiser3533
      @rscruiser3533 Год назад

      @@LGKustoms Thank You for getting back --I think what I really need to know --- when you did the Roll n Pleats --with the foam -- the material -all stacked up -- not all machines have the same clearance under the foot --- with all that stacked up -- does the foot compress it --- to go through -- under the foot -- some machines only have 5/16 ---- 3/8" clearance --- How much room do you have under the foot to get all that matl. and foam through ---- this is what I'm worried about -- getting a machine that doesn't have enough clearance ---- did your machine compress all to feed under the foot? Sorry about asking --- I would like to do Roll n Pleat also --- just don't want to get something that won't do the job --- Thank You Again ---- Rodney

    @rscruiser3533 Год назад

    Not sure on how to get in touch with you --- so --- Your sewing machine has --- 1/2" lift ---- so it is compressing the foam down to get through the foot ------ so my question there is answered ---- one last thing though -- you sew so smoothly --- do you have a Servo motor verses the Clutch Motor --- I'm hearing you can sew slow with the clutch one without zinging along --- too fast for me --- just wondered if you converted to the Servo or using the Clutch motor WITH A GENTLE TOUCH ----- I think that is all I need to know before I begin my search for one ---- I watched you doing the seat for Shane --- it turned out REALLY NICE -- and I took quite a few notes on how you went about doing it ------ Thanks Again ----- Rodney

      I have a clutch motor on mine. A servo motor is a nice upgrade, but I like the philosophy “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”

    • @rscruiser3533
      @rscruiser3533 Год назад

      @@LGKustoms You seem to sew so smoothly -- thought maybe you opted for the servo -verses the clutch motor ------ I still want to do this --- my Model A is almost a mustard color vinyl -- no rips - no pleats or anything --just plain -- so -- my search is on -- have a few different brands and models that should do the job in mind -- the price will be the factor -- as long as it can do the job -- is all I need ----- Thank You answering my questions --- it has helped me in figuring out what I need ---- You have a good philosophy too ------------ Rodney

    Ok so if that was my car I would give it to you. But it’s your car so you can keep it. I think it’s name should be LG “baby”. I think it’s looking really good the body just paint it black till next winter. I’m sure you could do the interior and put it away for final assembly. Then just put a couple of seats in so you can have road trips and work out any issues. Anyway what ever you do it’s going to be good. Tim.
