okay guys i get that some of you are trying to hint stuff at kat and be like “oh you feel like this now but wait till later” but that honestly on its own is kind of a spoilery thing to say😭 please stop hinting stuff and let her figure it out on her own

@@MagiKat_Gaming Oh neither am I. But it still is kind of a well known story... but it just shows that without the fear of eternal damnation doing some heavy lifting, it's popularity can't hold a candle to FFX 🤣
Genshin takes a lot of inspiration from Religion (mainly gnosticism and the ars goetia), so in a weird way, it makes people interested in religion (at least from a historical/cultural standpoint). Just googling the names of some characters will lead you down a rabbit hole of theorycrafting and connecting dots. Like how Paimon is the name of one of the Kings of Hell and Lucifers best bud... this one is clearly reversed though because Paimon is an angel and can do no wrong!

Yeah... i hated her at first because of her bratty and arrogant personality... but now i love her and love to have pulled for her
Proud to say I've absolutely loved her since the very beginning😩 But yeah, tbf I get being irritated by her too lol
Still hate her kit but personality is cute
@@HoffmanXXL Those are the very reasons I loved her on first sight. Its like the Rich Girl Character Archetype similar to Karin in Street Fighter and other IPs. Bratty and Arrogant but with a heart of gold or well intentions.

11:28 Yeah, that's a huge world quest sitting there that you can visit later. Sumeru has a number of huge world quests, most of them being in the desert, and it burned out a good number of players. It also didn't help that we didn't have subterranean maps back then. Definitely put those on the back burner.
As for crossing over to Fontaine, there's no "right" way. Some will glide over while others find a boat to cross over. And yet others will ice bridge over just because they can. Be adventurous and if it turns out to be a dead end, remember that you can always teleport back to a waypoint and start over.

The area that you skipped in the very beginning (with the big purple light in the sky), came out in version 3.6, while Fontaine is 4.0. So the game kinda assumes you have already explored that area xD Also since update 4.0, every new area will automatically have 1 waypoint unlocked, to make exploring easier and to help newer players get access to materials for characters in faraway countries

@@MagiKat_Gaming Btw just a little warning. There is a group of people who get VERY mad if you don't love Furina the second you see her. As “revenge” those people comment massive story spoilers. So be careful with reading comments, I haven’t seen any (thank god) but I did want to warn you

I've never seen anyone do that. I began to think there is no way that story takes us to Fontaine and everyone just wings it. And I just noticed it teleports you to the edge of Sumeru if you didn't do the last region (I had to walk from Caravan Ribat).

The boat call was added only in the current version; it was not there before. So, I flew too.
Congrats on reaching the 100th part of your Genshin playthrough! Been a heck of a long journey (been watching almost since your first part), but it's been very entertaining watching you play. The reason why Lynette has cat ears but Lyney has not, can be read in their character profile. If you wanna know, It says that the gene to have cat ears (and a tail) is recessive, so Lyney didn’t inherit the gene but Lynette did (also it became kinda a joke that Hoyoverse is just allergic to cat boys xD)
Lyney inherited the cat eyes atleast. XD
Glad to see that my exact assumption was completely correct.
This also makes Lynette feel bad because people always ask her why she has cat ears if they are siblings

ps: i was the thoughtless criminal who witlessly spoiled the water feature of Fontaine. I can promise you, i have cruelly punished myself for the grief caused.
pps: i think the game providing teleport straight into new regions is a new development in the game .. prob cos it's so vast and newcomers would be overwhelmed otherwise. Not like us old timers who are used to wandering for hours to get to new regions.

Yeah well if that was their intent, they failed. Epically. Because @MagiKat was quite overwhelmed when she realized that she was in a completely optional part of Sumeru that she hadn't been in yet so it just teleported her into the middle of nowhere. Also, without the actual map, players won't know that there's a Waverider Spawn on the coastline below them. That's why @MagiKat jumped off the cliff despite her gut telling her not to.
Honestly? I think reason they had the Archon Quest teleport them directly to Fontaine was for just that reason: because the area that it teleports you is completely optional and they didn't want to force players to do an entirely completely optional area to get to Fontaine. But as I stated above, they didn't really think it through and I think it's important for players to go through regions systematically.
Personally, I feel like this is a failing in Hoyoverse's Design and one I hope they do not replicate going forward. If they're going to have Archon Quests teleport you to the next location, they either shouldn't put the next required location on the other side of a completely optional region or they shouldn't make the region optional. To me, that really harms the overall experience. At the very least, the Quest shouldn't Auto-Teleport the player. It should give the player the choice to use the Waypoint if they so choose.
Best region in terms of story so far! hope you enjoy it as well as how I have enyoyed watching you play this game!

I won't spoil the purple sky thing in the desert. But I will implore you to revisit the area for a quest. It does have some interesting lore I think you will find interesting.

hello hello, new viewer here, like the vibes so you got a new sub in me. a good bit of story building for Fontaine would be the video called "Overture Teaser: The Final Feast". It serves a similar purpose to the "Winter Nights Lazzo" the Fatui one. it does show come key people to the Fontaine quests
15:00 The glide there was what i did and I stopped at the same boat as you, Hydroculus at all. (The red feather fan from Inazuma Reputation lvl5 was helpful, but i think they tuned it to make sure doing it without just barely works.)
Later i discovered there was a Waverider on the shore >_>
I felt the same way navigating from the desert border to Fontaine. Although I used Dookdook's afopted son to hover and glide. I realized too late that there was a waverider down below. Lolol

I hope this isn't a spoiler (i dont think it can be bc it was an event) but quite interesting to see the start of fontaine from someone's angle that didn't do the 3.7 TCG event. We already met charlotte there so the introduction was a bit different since we already knew her >.< So excited to see you go through fontaine. I loved the archon quest so to be able to rewatch it with your excitement is wonderful. Especially since we're approaching the next region in a few months!

@@anaplaysstuff not at all people finished archon quest up to fontaine in less than 33 hours with full dialogues ( autoplay + no clicking)

Archon quest isn't long , it just feels way longer if you focus on other stuff ( that's why people usually complete new storyline from in single day )
Using Lynnet underwater is quite useful, she marks on the mini map the healing and stamina regeneration points so you can swim smoothly
you don't need to level her up, just putting her in the party is enough to be useful underwater same with Freminet if you have him he can reduce the stamina consumption up to 30% without needing to level him at all
1:23:57 remember that music..and that rain..you will appreciate it later once you inow why they are associated.
If you walk down the hill at the shore there was a boat station that you could’ve used to summon your ride :’)
When I first ventured to Fontaine, I had Collei in my party, so her passive ability actually allows you to fly from the waypoint to Fontaine with enough stamina

I think it's pretty hard to avoid finding out the order and element of nations we visit
Genshin basically revealed it before the game came out in the teaser
But it's really easy to forget. I can't even remember if i've ever seen that teaser 😂

i dont think the story takes you to the underwater part of fontaine so better explore it for yourself! the story is actually pretty straight forward so yeah keep that in mind :)))

this isn't actually mentioned in the main story at all, and only talked about briefly in lynette's character stories on her profile.
if you still prefer to find out for yourself by raising her friendship, then stop reading now. otherwise, here's the answer:
lynette's cat traits are simply a case of atavism.
most likely, one of their ancestors was from a cat race like diona's, and while those traits were lost across generations, they remained in their genes and resurfaced with lynette, but not lyney.

Hmm it seems Charlotte's meeting with the traveler is different and does not recognize you from the beginning. Charlotte made a appearance in a limited event before Fontaine and her lines was completely different compared to this. If you met Charlotte in that event the outcome would be different when you meet her now
1:15:00 You can actually ride it on your own next time! Just go back to the first Statue of the Seven and you can enjoy the scenery on your own :)
If you are the lore consumer.. most of these events has a spoiler and may affect you if you enjoy the story more

Furina and Fishcl is different.. perhaps English speaking people don’t know the term for Chuunibyuu which is Fischl personality.. chuunibyu in japamese term is for a person a pre teen personality with a lot of imagination which like they think they have a special power with a darkness.. you can search more about chuunibyu, there is an romance anime about that
Lyney: "the line between a performance and a trial can be a little blurred". If i remember correctly, this Archon Quest came out around the time of Amber Heard vs. Johnny Depp. So, Justice as Entertainment isn't just for Fontaine.

This came out waay after that, also the Justice as entertainment is a common thing in European during various epochs, public execution, revolution, duels, a overall politics in Greece. It's a more common trope because unfortunately it is historically accurate
