Peter is pondering...pensively trying to answer why Frampton Comes Alive broke all sales records. I'll answer that question for you Peter...because the record is incredible on every conceivable level! It has songs with the most amazing hooks together with unprecedented guitar wizardry that included Peter brilliantly bringing his guitar to life through the use of a talk-box, making it seem as though his guitar could also talk to the audience. On top of all this, it has the power and ambiance of a live audience cheering it on like rocket fuel!

I am 58. Yes, many on here are a bit older but to me as a huge Rock fan since 1973. Yes and Led Zep were my start. I have always felt that five albums of the 1970s rocked my world then and now like no others.
    No order of importance:
    "Frampton Comes Alive"
    "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"
    "Boston"
    "Van Halen"
    "Highway to Hell"

Was lucky enough to go see Mountain in 1970 at Spectrum. Ozzy with Black Sabbath was second on the Bill and a little known band called Humble Pie played first. With Peter and Steve Marriott. Humble Pie was the best band that night. Blown away would be to put in mildly.

Met Peter after a show in Nashville that he was also attending. Shook his hand, told Peter I had been a fan since the 9th grade when his live album was released. To shake the hand that had thrilled so many with his musical prowess truly a delight....

Some of the greatest solos are on that album. His jazz influences are what makes him such a great player.

I lost count on how many copies of Frampton Alive I brought. Especially the cassettes. Peter was the very 1st concert I went to in 1977 in Madison Square Garden

Although I can say I wasn’t a huge fan of his, I did enjoy some of his work. “I Can’t Stand It No More” was a favorite song of mine… What a stand up guy.

I was 13 when the live album came out and my brother had taped it on his 8-track deck so we could play it in his car and it was playing ALL OF THE TIME. So I got the album so I could play it myself over and over. Got the huge poster of Frampton and hung it on my wall. Then I found out he was 26!!! Way too old hahahaha. I still had a major crush on him. He was very beautiful at 26 and his music was perfection to a 13 year old girl just coming of age. I still can cry hearing "Lines on my Face" - my brother and sister went away to college and I was a Sr in High School still playing the album constantly and for some reason I felt lonely and sorry for myself feeling left behind. That's the first song I go to when I play the album. Consider it still top 3 favorite albums of my life. Thank you Peter Frampton for being the soundtrack of my life!!

When I was 12 I asked my big sister for 'Frampton Comes Alive' on 8-track for Christmas. A year or two later I bought the Lp, then the CD which I later downloaded as Mp3's for my itunes and ipod. I'm now 61 and my taste in music has grown tremendously, but I still love that album.

Frampton Comes Alive became so big because it captured the energy and massive sound of Peter in a live setting that the studio versions never did.

Back in 1988, while fishing on Clearlake, I had the pleasure of listening to him play at the Konocti Resort. We stayed in the area for a while before moving on to a different part of the lake, but what a surprise and memory!

I just turned 15 when that album came out in January 1976. It hit No. 1 in April. It was the smash of the summer before I went to high school (10th grade). I remember Frampton and Queen especially that summer. Bohemian Rhapsody. Great stuff. Blows away anything on the radio today. Maybe I'm just too old these days (almost 64).

As a 10 year old playing drums in 1976, I heard Peter Frampton Comes Alive on the radio and immediately raced out and bought the vinyl album and been a big fan ever since. I still own that vinyl record and still listen to Frampton’s music to this day. It never gets old. Amazing guitar player, vocalist and gentleman. I might add, he has to one a very small few who can replicate his singing and guitar playing live over and over again even all these years down the track in 2024. So glad he got inducted into the rock hall of fame. It was long overdue.
