I like the Allcoat a lot. It goes on nicely, the drying and recoat time are excellent and the opacity is great but the satin is more like an eggshell than a satin. With that in mind it’s a great paint.
Bought the bedec to use on rads and skirting after watching a few vids about it. Used dulux trade satinwood in past and followed instructions to the letter i was advised bu dulux. Its ok but wouldnt use again. Marks easily and chips with impacts
Great video, mate. I used the Bedec black satin on my upvc front door last year, and it's still solid. Have you tried the Bedec going over oil based gloss ?
You got yourself a 3" brush yet? Can I ask what's your go to brush? Just I've found myself after 22yrs decorating, Hamilton Perfection Max Stroke is my favourite. I rarely use a 3" anymore if I'm honest. 2" for emulsion and 1.5" on woodwork. Just curious to hear another professionals opinion 😊😊
Hi Steve I've got white doors to paint in an oil-based finish would you put two coats on top as a finish. And use no other paints like primers or undercoats. I'm talking about using the multi surface bedec paint 😂😂😂
What is good about these is no undercoat is required and they paint most surfaces including upvc there are other that are good but they need the undercoat and dont do upvc, just the woodwork.
30 plus days can also mean that the paint is more vulnerable then. No substitute for oil based gloss in my humble opinion. I suppose one could use the Bedec as a primer/undercoat for gloss? I was interested in this video as I am about to paint old floorboards white. Primer firsr but then do I go water or oil? Hmm.
I used the Bedec light grey satin on an exterior pvc door and it's held up very well. Seems solid. Great vid mate 👍
Thankyou very much, thanks for the information.

Times are changing, and I can't believe how these water-based products are getting so good.
great video thanks
Thankyou for watching
That review was as useful as a chocolate fireguard
Not very helpful then

Thankyou for your feedback, I hope the bedec performs better.

Yes I have got 2 new Purdy 3inch. For woodwork I like the Hamilton prestige 2 inch and 1 and a half inch for woodwork

Light sand first, be prepared to give a 3rd coat if neede. It is easy to use.
Would you expect other water based paints to hold up the same after 30+ days of curing or do you think these two are special?

@@Inexteriors good to know, thanks 👍🏻
As you say MSP is bullet proof and a lot easier to apply than Zinsser Allcoat IMO.

They were both good to be fair.
