2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse Is Track Ready With Performance Upgrades
The 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse is the first of its kind. It's track focused and based on the redesigned V-8-powered GT.
The Dark Horse has an enhanced Coyote 5.0-liter V-8 targeting 500 horsepower and pairing with a Tremec six-speed manual or Ford's 10-speed automatic.
Along with distinct styling and myriad standard performance features, the Dark Horse is the only Mustang that has optional carbon-fiber wheels and Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tires.
Every Dark Horse rides on MagneRide adaptive dampers that buoy 19-inch wheels mounted on Pirelli P Zero PZ4 summer tires. The standard rims measure 9.5 inches wide up front and 10.0 inches wide out back, but those widths increase to 10.5 and 11.0 inches.
The package also includes stiffer springs, thicker front and rear sway bars, and a rear wing with a Gurney flap for more downforce. Even without the Handling package, all Dark Horses have Brembo six-piston fixed front calipers that clamp 13.9-inch rotors.
Inside, the Dark Horse benefits from the same redesigned, tech-centric cabin that debuted on other 2024 Mustangs. That means a digitized dashboard that combines a 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster and a 13.2-inch touchscreen. The latter features the latest Sync 4 interface that has been reskinned specifically for the Mustang, and it also accepts over-the-air updates.
Ford hasn't yet said how much the 2024 Mustang Dark Horse will cost, but we think it'll start around $60,000

...until you look inside. Then you realize it's hot trash. Despite the cheapness of the S197's, their interiors had a classic design that will look good for years to come. This will look outdated and broken in less than 10 years

@@samadagoat7769 S550 interior has looked out of touch for 7 years. There are really great aspects to the S550 interior including styling cues from prev. generations, but overall it is and was a weird direction. Never grew on me beyond that, but I can appreciate Ford trying to improve quality and comfort. This, however, is outright embarrassing. Anybody who likes it is either blind or are lying to themselves. If you remove the pony logos, you'd think you're sitting in a Taurus concept

Every generation of Camaro and Mustang just makes me drool all over the place. I hope we never lose sight of what makes these cars so amazing. They change how it looks while keeping that figure exactly how it was. Perfection.

@@Learning_3d As an aspiring designer who studies a bunch of different designs and can easily identify similar elements, you're on crack. Not a single line on this looks like the ugly af challenger. The closest thing is the horizontal brow running across the top of the grille/headlights. That's just a muscular car styling feature in general.
Dark Horse looks good and not only is it good looking but 500hp 💪

@OPOL I can throw in a 351W in a 1970 MACH 1 do some cam mods, EFI and get 600HP easily. If something goes wrong I know right away, now you need a box to do systems check, when it would tell you that you have a faulty plug. YES the car is beautiful the spaceship dash, sound like a Jetsons UFO on cocaine, nope I'd actually change the mufflers to CAT BLACK. It's just the dash that turns me away. IMO
@OPOL But I am thinking again, if I had the money to do so, I'd tear out ALL the electronics/harnesses etc. put in Shelby GT 500hp engine, custom wiring/dash, now I am back to old school but modern look, Oh phuck the Airbags I can drive.

I have an older mustang and 2013 charger and I’m buying a wide body scat this year for the last year but in a couple more years I think I’m going to have to get one of these they sound so good. Not a fan boy of any but I love the Big 3 I appreciate them all.

I was thinking about getting a Mach 1 but was not totally into the hood and color options but the dark horse has it all. It is rare, almost never do I say I like the looks of a new model anything, but Ford, I like the way this car looks.

They are great looking cars however I own a Gen 2 S550 and had nothing but trouble with it as in breaking down all the time my battery constantly kept dying in the garage even though the car was obviously turned off due to some factory issue with the car.

From the snapshot of video. It looks like a GMC truck. I’ve had many mustangs. Currently have 2. 2019 GT and a 2015 Roush RS3.(Stage 3). Sorry I can’t say that it attracts me to it. I would have to see it in person, but as of now I’ll keep what I have. The wife says it looks similar to the Craparo
Not to me either they have this, let's be honest American junk in a tunnel to make its exhaust appealing. Can it take a EV never but it will take your wallet to the pumps.
