I (european boiii) decided to start watching american football again. I decided to stay up so I can watch the monday night game (which in my timezone was from 2 - 5 am on tuesday). Next day I stumbled across a store that sells caps and I initially wanted a seattle kraken cap but they didn't have any nhl stuff in the store so I wanted to buy a Boston Celtics cap cause I like green, then I walked over to the nfl section and saw this black & yellow steelers cap with the underside of the visor being green and thought it looked cool too. So I asked a friend whether I should buy the celtics cap or steelers cap, he said steelers cause he thinks it's the same thing as stealers... anyway I bought the steelers cap. I hadn't yet chosen a team I was going to root for in the nfl so that choice was made easy, that's how I became a steelers fan. Now it's 12:33 am and I really need to get my history of the steelers game up before I watch the game on sunday so thank you so much for making this video!
The greatest successful franchise in NFL History hopefully we will get a 7th super bowl title as a Steelers fan i know that we get it mark my word we deserve better then this
I became a Steelers becuz of my parents. Back in the late 70s I didn't have any interest in football much less the Pittsburgh Steelers. I only knew the Dallas Cowboys becuz of my parents. I was around 9 at the time and the only thing i was interested in on a Sunday telivision programming was cartoons on a boobtube tv. I would get up at 7am to watch cartoons til 12. Then one football Sunday the Cowboys were playing the Steelers at 11 and my dad just comes up and decided to change the channel and told me football was on i was furious that he change the channel just like that. So I told him that I hope his team loses. And from that moment on a new Steelers fan was born. On October 28, 1979 Steelers defeated the Cowboys 14-3. Ever since, I never look back and band wagon anywhere else. Through thick and thin die hard Steelers fan.
After being a hard core Steeler fan for 50 years, that abruptly ended at a game at Soldier Field a few years ago when Tomlin / Roethlisberger / Antonio Brown and all but one team member hid in a tunnel when the national anthem played.
You forgot in 1974. The steelers signed undrafted free agent Donnie Shells. So, one off-season, the steelers added five futures NFL hall of the famous to the team.😊
Need to review your rules on the Seattle Superbowl. Pushing off a defender is a prohibited act in the rules which the receiver clearly did. 2nd to score a touch down the ball has to break the white line of the end zone before you are down which he clearly does before the defender knocks him back. At the time with limited replays i understand the criticism but with today's technology i slowed this video to .25 speed and there is no question.
10:30 a plane crashed into the stands towards the end of that game (or after it ended). The seats that were impacted were empty because of the blowout and there were no fatalities
Bull shit Ben was stopped short. Only a fraction of the ball has to cross the goal line. The FIRST WHITE LINE! And the ball did. The white line is part of the END ZONE! DUH!
Love the Steelers and this was well done content, we have a good team this year at least since Mason took over, we have been back to Steeler football.
mason is gone now😢

Yeah they should be elite contenders not wildcard contenders imo
Very well done. Thank you. Go Steelers
Thank you so much!
Perfect description of the 03 season. And coincidentally '22 and '23 seasons.
Niceee , this was a deep dive. Keep it up !
Thanks man!!! You're definitely an inspiration to me!
Best video I’ve seen on the history of the Steelers!
Thank you so much man!!

Lol that's quite the origin story lol
Really enjoyed the video.
Loved the ending!
Thank you!!
Why hasn't thousands of people see this
Cause I'm so small and haven't posted in a long time due to life events happening but I promise I'm getting back to it

Get over it
I’ve really enjoyed this video bro
Thanks man!!
Great work
Great history!
Good stuff man
Thank you very much!!

There were so many great players I unfortunately left some out but yes, shells is a legend
Fun fact: between 1933 and 1971 the Steelers only had one playoff appearance
Yep!! Thought I said that but I forgot lol
what a way to end the video. RIP Franco. SN4L
Thanks man!!

here we go STEELERS
Nothing about the players in the 90s or 20? Only talked about Big Ben.
No more rings until Tomlin is gone. Mark my word.
I don't think you're wrong
10:30 a plane crashed into the stands towards the end of that game (or after it ended). The seats that were impacted were empty because of the blowout and there were no fatalities
I did see that while researching! Fucking crazy lol
Life long Steelers fan but if want chance gatta get rid of Pickett he might be good but not great
Or they need a new qb coach to help develop him, I wouldn't pull the plug on him just yet, but very soon will be the time to make a tough decision
Bull shit Ben was stopped short. Only a fraction of the ball has to cross the goal line. The FIRST WHITE LINE! And the ball did. The white line is part of the END ZONE! DUH!
6:56 doesn’t make sense. There was no free agency, they could pay players that they drafted whatever they wanted.
It’s illegal to push-off!! Sorry, Seahawks were not “screwed” in Super Bowl 40!!
For me steeler history ended with the hiring of Mike Tomlin
Well decorated franchise? Not before Chuck Noll. Before Noll, they were the laughing stock of the NFL
few will admit
Big Ben was a terrible playoff QB
Look at the stats
John Facenda you are NOT!
Lol I know man, maybe someday
You guys better LEARN HOW TO SPELL ! It's SWANN WITH TWO N'S not SWAN WITH ONE N !
