My God the consistency 😂
Hear hear!
😂😂😂
🔥🇨🇦🤬
The first time you hear it at the game.. the crowd goes nuts & the sound of thousands of terrible towels whirling. Nothing better, man. Lets go Steelers!
As a Steelers fan not from Pittsburgh, I desperately want to go to a Steelers game to witness the atmosphere, it just looks amazing.
Eagles fan from Dallas, of all places. I will experience Renegade during my lifetime. There is nothing like it
I went to the game today…. It was unbelievable the videos do not do it justice the building goes insane
@@ryanwalker1187dude I was at the game as well - it’s just a different experience
@@ryanwalker1187yes it does
I like when the Commentators point it out LIVE on TV as well. "Renegades playing now, lets see where this goes."
As a 52 year old Steeler fan who has lived in the area his whole life. This video caused a few tears of joy. It really touches the heart of a Steeler fan.
I'm from BEAVER Falls PA. I hitch hiked to California in 75. And I did 90 days in L.A Cointy jail for pot possession and being a transient. WE sang this song in jail at night. Now understand. I played football. Steelers my team. AFTER high-school I worked for Republic Steel. Which is the emblem for the Steelers. I play guitar. Seen Styx a many of time. And love playing their music. And so proud to be a Steeler fan. Since 1969. Even met the 74 Steelers. Much love to the Steeler Nation. We Rep Big Time.
Let's Go Tigers! Also thumbs up to Orams!
Seeing Joey Porter and Polamalu makes me happy!!!
Here we go
SteelersNationAustralia- Agreed.
I miss seeing Joey Porter, Sr. & Troy Polamalu play for the Pittsburgh Steelers--along with a host of others, for that matter, of course...
The power of music is as old as the power of sport
My first ever Steelers game in Pittsburgh and TJ scooped and scored that fumble against the Browns on Monday night right after Renegade. One of the best moments of my life
Was there with you. I was waiting for it to come on. Was nice to see both turnover touchdowns on that side of the field.
Was there as well, surreal
You missed a lot if that's your Steeler's history.
@@razorsedge7100 I live in New York. The only other games I’ve been to were in Buffalo
@@201LiLE201They happened at different ends
I've been a STEELERS fan since 1973. I know about 85 percent of the history of the team, I used to cry when they lose a game. That's how much I love 💕 the BLACK and GOLD.
Me too.
Wow
Still do.
Way too much
You remember three rivers?
I remember seeing cars parked in the stadium 😂
I remember Swann hopped on the trunk of a car, slipped and fell.
Man, so many memories -
I think in 07’ it was - the mud bowl? 😂
I remember the field was so badly torn up because of so many football games played that week. They resodded patches of grass and then heavy rain happened.
That night they played the Miami Dolphins.
Remember Joey Porter?
He intercepted Ben’s pass.
Ah yes, 50 years of happy and heartbreaking memories 😂
My wife converted me to the Yinz Mob 30+ years ago. Hearing Renegade at a game is electric. I get goosebumps and the crowd goes NUTS. (I actually hate Styx but love this song.)
One game we were at, they played it right around the 2:00 warning -- very late in the game. We thought we missed it. The fans went crazy, the towels were swirling (THAT is an amazing sight to see), and the Steelers won. There is a magical quality to that song.
If you are a Steelers fan and have never been to a game at Heinz (yes, it is still Heinz to us), put it on your bucket list. Pittsburgh is a beautiful, gritty, authentic city; there are some great restaurants (Pamela's for breakfast, S&D Polish Deli for lunch, etc.); the rivers and bridges are gorgeous; and the people are friendly.
#PGH #SteelersNation
Can confirm from my first pilgrimage this most recent weekend. That was a core memory hearing renegade. I thought them bringing back the Pittsburgh polka was something special but damn 🥵
What would you suggest for reasonable hotels I'm planning on making a home game this coming season
@@ManapuaMan187 It all depends on what you consider "reasonable." lol
What I would suggest is to make your reservation sooner rather than later as hotels fill up quickly during the season. Also, how close to the stadium do you want to be? It's cheaper to be further away, but then you have traffic, etc.
We've stayed in the Hyatt North Shore, overlooking Heinz, and we've stayed in the Holiday Inn Express. The last (and best!) home game (Oct 2023 to beat the Ravens), I found a VRBO 3 miles from the stadium. It was a little more than a hotel, but you had a whole house, we cooked breakfasts and dinners, and it was a great little neighborhood.
Being so close, we could get there early to tailgate, and traffic was a breeze, going through the neighborhood.
Good luck and have a blast. Try to make it a long weekend, if you can, as there's a lot to do, if you have the time.
I don't care what anyone says; best homefield advantage in the NFL. Go Steelers! 🖤💛
We will Renegade ❤😂
Pittsburgh… I bleed this black and gold ❤
It's an exciting day to be a Steelers fan fellas Here We Go
Steelers Nation!!! 🖤💛🏈
I got to witness
A double renegade...
Christmas day Steelers VS Ravens Christmas day 2016.
Unbelievable experience live In person.
The atmosphere was unreal.
I never knew a double Renegade was even a thing. As nuts as everyone gets when they play it, how crazy does it get when they play it a SECOND time???
@joepark8872 the Christmas day game was unreal...
I'll just say that.
Stayed back 30mins to take it all in!
@@SteelersNationAustralia The best seats I've ever scored were front row above the Steelers tunnel. It was against the Broncos last year. My wife cried when she saw our seats (and several times during the game). We did not want to leave after the game and actually got kicked out.
@@SteelersNationAustraliahey what's up I'm Jay from NC a Pittsburgh Steelers fan
I love learning how This song came to be.
God blesses Renegade when he's watching the Stiller games with Jesus and the homies. Thats why Renegade is special and blessed.
I've witnessed this in person, the atmosphere was electrifying and right after they played Renegade the defense got the turnover-Joe Haden interception 3rd Qtr-Steelers vs Titans on a cold december 19, 2021.... Ill never forget and that was my first Steelers game @ Heinzfield, we won Steelers 19 Titans 13✊🏾🖤💛
This about Firing Canada. Are you on board though?
December 2017, Sunday night, prime time, against the ravens. My first renegade. I had another marine veteran next to me and he told me two things, one: don't expect to sit down against Baltimore and two: watch this place turn into a sea of gold. It feels different, especially during prime time games and afc north battles.
Dude that same game was also my first Steelers game that I attended.
Been to two Steelers games and that song really sends goosebumps thru you and then the crowd is just amazing I love it and the atmosphere is so amazing
@@marinegator1833 I've been to a Steelers-Ravens game in Pittsburgh and a Steelers-Ravens game in Baltimore. The rivalry is intense, but the venues do not compare. Baltimore is just a city; Pittsburgh is a community.
Man it's electrifying when that song comes on!!! Renegade gets everyone pumped up!!! 🖤💛🖤💛
That was terrific and an excellent showcase on some of the behind-the-scenes folks who make game day special!
1st like always. #1 fan here.. I just can't afford to go to games😢😢😂😂
That sucks… I hope you get to go soon!
Right there with u homie. I live in cali and the tickets to the raiders and rams were so darn expensive.
Make it work. The rams game is like 200 bucks
@@mariolombard3778 i just saw dude thanks. 165 for nosebleeds but hey ur there lol
@@TheRealPunisherhopefully you can make it out there. Should be another away home game lol
Nothing like being in that stadium for Renegade!!
I was there for the Ravens game this season with the blocked punt by Killebrew towards the end of the video (my first time being at a home game).
What a magical day. The game itself was ugly, but a win against the Ratbirds and getting to hear Renegade in person was AWESOME! I have the video on my channel and I love reliving that moment every so often
That De'Shea int v Romo was THE Renegade moment.
I’ve been a Steelers’ fan for more than thirty years and watching terrible towels waving around Renegade is a speechless experience. Go renegades we love you! 😂🎉🏈
I have experienced live twice, it's really something great.
What an identity, the defence has it's own firgging hype song.
One of my favorite memories of attending our first game.
I get so emotional for how many times ive blaired this song and the Steelers always seem to have a clutch play and win after itnisnplayed. Nothing but good memories
Let’s go Steelers. I love everything about the BLACK and GOLD. Steelers Nation!!!
Same
So glad to see Troy on the team channel
I love seeing Troy standing there with his hands down on his pants with that big Smile on his face......while Renegade is flowing......you just knew he was ready, and would cinch the Game for the Stillers!
When Jacksonville comes to town in 2 weeks I'll be there, this will be my first Steelers Home game I'm so pumped!
You are going to have an absolute blast! It is magical to be in that stadium, watching your Stillers, and hearing Renegade, a stadium full of twirling towels..
I'll go ahead and toss this into the ol' favorites folder.
I experienced this in person at the Ravens game (my first Steelers home game) Renegade was played the stadium went insane, next play they blocked a punt! It was a bucket list moment!
This makes my hair stand on end. I love seeing the players react to the song. Being that it is rock and roll some of them do not know the words. 🏈🏈
I was there for the Deshea Townsend Renegade pick 6 against the Cowboys. I didn't have a voice for a week after that. It still gives me goosebumps.
That's just awesome, can only imagine it in person.
Hell yeah Chin! Crafton representing. Nicest guy you could ever meet.
Brought tears to my eyes rest in peace Myron Cope
Definitely the game changer! It feels eerie and pumped out at the same time! An experience you can’t get when you watch it anywhere else except in the field!!
nothing like it when those screens go black. hell just watching this brought goosebumps and tears to my eyes. nothing like it :)
Born and raise from AZ and I play renegade each game day and these fans hate it in my area.
I'm a Lions fan and that is pretty cool
Fire canada
They did
I was at that Browns game. It snowed the whole first half. It was gloomy. Guy beside me was from Tampa on his honeymoon. He was giving up at 24-7. I jad to calm him down. When they scored and played it the first time the place lit up. By the 3rd time it came on you could feel the whole stadium shaking. One of the greatest sporting events I've been to.
We should play it whenever we're in need of a comeback.
As a Chicago Bears fan who held season tickets. I believe it was 2005. And even though we lost to the Steelers that day which i believe was opening dayme and my friends had an absolute blast. I remember Renegade coming on and i was jumping up and down getting all fired up.
Thanks for sharing, 🖤💛✨️👍🫶Go STEELERS ✨️
Good things happen after RENAGADE plays
Went to my 1st game as a titans fan man it was electric in there even had me hype 😂
Fire Canada
What a wonderful video! Go Steelers 👊.
Took my 89 year old dad to this past ravens game!! He’s a long time Steeler fan…grew up in Latrobe Penna. The stadium shook when renegade played. What a priceless experience!!
I don't like Tommy Shaw and how he treated Styx but its so great that this song is like a Steelers anthem. Loved seeing the towels fly at my first game in 2014, absolutely nothing like it
It should only be played when needed. Will have a much bigger effect.
I have my 2 tickets loaded in my Google Wallet those Jag-Offs from Duval 😎 hoping to witness a massive RENEGADE moment here in like 2 weeks!!!!!!
Classic
I was at the Steelers - Ravens game a couple of weeks ago. They played Renegade in the 4th quarter and the Ravens drive ended in a blocked punt safety 9:50 . Talk about working to perfection.
Heeeere we go Steelers!!! Oh and btw... 🔥🇨🇦 already!
3 Rivers, now and forever. Also #FireCanada
for more years to come go Steelers

This brought my love for this city and this family business to a whole new level😭❤️🎁❤️🔥🙏🏾

Thanks for this video, I haven't had the opportunity to visit the Heinz sorry the Acrisure stadium to watch a game of my Steelers and this made me feel that when I finally go there I'll enjoy it more like a local. Steelers here we go! And FireCanada
BEING INM THERE IN PERSON WAS CRAZZZZZY, PLACE ERUPTED WHEN RENEGADE CAME ON.
14k solid gold! more please!
Thank you so much for this!!¡ Loved hearing the history of Renegade....
Let's go Steelers!!
" RENEGADE the Rams"!!! " HERE WE GO STEELERS
..........HERE WE GO"!!!.......
It’s weird that I had no idea this was a thing for the Steelers until this week
Love shows keep it up
Wow…awesome!!
One more week and i finally get to experience this
Oh mama, GREAT story. The Steelers were losing to the Ravens in the 4th quarter last week, then came Renegade, then came a victory.
One note to Mr. Chris Burns: There is no "I" in Steelers team-work (you say "I" and my" a lot).
I was curious, so I did a web search....and there was actually a guy in 2022 that did a study on Renegade. Dr Matt Pascal, professor of Mathematics and Chair of Point Park University’s Department of Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technology did a study on the effects of it. Bottom line is that statistically, the opposing team is 7 times more likely to fumble the ball on the play following Renegade being played when measured against other plays.
W social media team
Awesome, let’s go!!
We need a big win after the buy week. HERE WE GO STILLERS!!!!! Let’s go!!!
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO STEELERS AND BEAT THEM RAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video!
Goosebumps.... Hope tommy shaw gets free tickets for life...
Renegade is a dark and powerful tool that absolutely changes the tone of the entire building and I believe its terrible power should only be used in case of defensive emergency. I do not like how they play it every game nowadays--It dilutes the power. Probably the coolest thing any NFL team does anywhere so I don't blame the gameday team for wanting to squeeze it in every week.
I remember three or four years ago we were beating the absolute snot out of the Chiefs and they revved up Renegade with us up like three scores and I was like the clip from the Simpsons: "stop, stop, he's already dead!!" The 2003 Playoff game against Cleveland was an all-time great display of its power. SO BOLD to play it twice, but that was what the day required.
THAT WAS SICK!
Love how most of the comments about it fire Canada. But this is such a big piece in not just steelers history but Pittsburgh history
easily the most hype moment in football is when this song hits the stadium
Tremendous
Super like
The Cordell Stewart & Steelers defense comeback against Brown's kn in divisional round in 03 was incredible never will forget it
I'll never forget it either but that was Tommy Maddox at QB.
And Kordell with a K
I think it should go back too "Being Played on Key Moments" makes it special again
It's special as it is
@@oldycow yeah okay if your okay with losing and then playing renegade then yeah let's just keep it the way it is now
