As a 52 year old Steeler fan who has lived in the area his whole life. This video caused a few tears of joy. It really touches the heart of a Steeler fan.

Man, so many memories - I think in 07’ it was - the mud bowl? 😂 I remember the field was so badly torn up because of so many football games played that week. They resodded patches of grass and then heavy rain happened. That night they played the Miami Dolphins. Remember Joey Porter? He intercepted Ben’s pass. Ah yes, 50 years of happy and heartbreaking memories 😂

My wife converted me to the Yinz Mob 30+ years ago. Hearing Renegade at a game is electric. I get goosebumps and the crowd goes NUTS. (I actually hate Styx but love this song.) The fans went crazy, the towels were swirling (THAT is an amazing sight to see), and the Steelers won. There is a magical quality to that song. If you are a Steelers fan and have never been to a game at Heinz (yes, it is still Heinz to us), put it on your bucket list. Had a Renegade moment in 2008 during the Cowboys game. Deshea Townsend’s pick six that was referred to in the video. Probably my favorite moment in all the games I’ve attended.
Renegade is a dark and powerful tool that absolutely changes the tone of the entire building and I believe its terrible power should only be used in case of defensive emergency. I do not like how they play it every game nowadays--It dilutes the power. Probably the coolest thing any NFL team does anywhere so I don't blame the gameday team for wanting to squeeze it in every week.
I remember three or four years ago we were beating the absolute snot out of the Chiefs and they revved up Renegade with us up like three scores and I was like the clip from the Simpsons: "stop, stop, he's already dead!!" The 2003 Playoff game against Cleveland was an all-time great display of its power. SO BOLD to play it twice, but that was what the day required.
Thanks for this video, I haven't had the opportunity to visit the Heinz sorry the Acrisure stadium to watch a game of my Steelers and this made me feel that when I finally go there I'll enjoy it more like a local. Steelers here we go! And FireCanada

LFG MY STEELERS, I KNOW I WILL SEE US WIN LOMBARDI NO.7 B4 I DIE, MAYBE EVEN NO’s 7, 8, 9 and 10!!!!!! Love ya Pittsburgh 🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛
I have my 2 tickets loaded in my Google Wallet those Jag-Offs from Duval 😎 hoping to witness a massive RENEGADE moment here in like 2 weeks!!!!!!
Had a Renegade moment in 2008 during the Cowboys game. Deshea Townsend’s pick six that was referred to in the video. Probably my favorite moment in all the games I’ve attended.
Something like that...I love it
Love this Song

Wow! That was some fantastic editing. Please keep these up.
Freakin goosebumps! Love it!
Thank you so much for this!!¡ Loved hearing the history of Renegade....
Let's go Steelers!!
Classic
Went to my 1st game as a titans fan man it was electric in there even had me hype 😂
One more week and i finally get to experience this
Thanks for this video, I haven't had the opportunity to visit the Heinz sorry the Acrisure stadium to watch a game of my Steelers and this made me feel that when I finally go there I'll enjoy it more like a local. Steelers here we go! And FireCanada
It should only be played when needed. Will have a much bigger effect.
As a Chicago Bears fan who held season tickets. I believe it was 2005. And even though we lost to the Steelers that day which i believe was opening dayme and my friends had an absolute blast. I remember Renegade coming on and i was jumping up and down getting all fired up.
Heeeere we go Steelers!!! Oh and btw... 🔥🇨🇦 already!
Awesome, let’s go!!
for more years to come go Steelers
My wife surprised me at our wedding by coming out to the reception with renegade playing and everyone waving terrible towels. She knew what it means when marrying into a Pittsburgh family
