making a lot of money as a paralegal????? Attorneys are expected to charge 250-1000 an hour. Paralegals, on the other hand, are expected to charge $15 to 50. UH, for the work that paralegals do on behalf of the attorneys, the paralegals are selling themselves short OR the attorneys are cheating the paralegals.
Thats no surprise. How many employers pocket the difference from what they pay their ppl to how much they make. Plus attorneys spend way more $$ on law school then paralegals they just delegate thier workload and pocket the difference on the market pay rate. 15-50 is pretty good considering you wont make that with many other industries. I've never heard anyone making 50 unless they were an educated professional.
How much someone charges and how much they take home are two completely different numbers. I'm a paralegal at a law firm. I charge $150 per hour for my time. I take home a LOT less than that.
I showed up to my interview in flip flops and shorts after eating tacos from Taco truck. Hired on the spot and have my own office. Not Always what you know, but who you know..Good advice though.

They are required to go through much more educational rigor than a paralegal.
gentleman25 paralegals get educated just not at a JD level but at undergraduate level. Education is not your field 😂 (sarcasm)
