It is great, but I must say after experiments that: 1. it's better to use Sinomacrops because of his small hitbox, I tried different dinos from your list to cover with foundation. 2. the Basilisk will not aggro at the trap if you lead it to it on the flyer. Gotta do it on your own feet :( 3. with rates 5+ you need 1 high level egg. I used to breed Rock Drakes so 180egg worked just fine. 4. with aggro on the foundation, the Basilisk never went underground even when my server crashed This worked great on Fjordur, Crystal Isles, and even in Rockwell's Cave on Gen2. Method is great, now I have a pack of 224 Basilisks and the envy of my neighbors. Tnks
Thanks even more for the fantastic feedback. 💕 I'm blown away by the fact it didn't burrow when the server crashed tbh, Usually de-rendering will force them to burrow beneath the foundation causing them to get stuck until you demo it. I've used this trick since the release of Aberration years ago and it still works flawlessly to this day 😊
Also just to mention so you dont repeat my mistakes. If you dont play modded, you shouldnt have this problem, But S+ structures wont work for the aggro. I tried with multiple ones and all seemed to make the Basilisk just mental and it ether circles the foundation for 3h and wont eat a single egg or it doesent aggro. Switched from S+ foundation to normal one and changed otter to shinehorn and it worked instantly.
@Ahuru Duncan yeah was having this issue while testing eggs. Thought the eggs might be the problem but nah changed the S+ to normal and it worked instantly
how come the basilisk isnt losing tame% all the ones I try taming immediatly start losing tame % after eating the first egg and they refuse to eat another egg until they hit 0% and it just perpetually restarts this cycle and never tames
10/10, used in singleplayer to get a 150. specifically used sinomacrops, doubted it initially due to how crazy it was but im currently on the back of my wyvern waiting for her to eat the last egg :)
You have my most sincere thanks. A really wonderful taming method that surprinsingly can be applied on Official (where I play) to overcome that insane buggy tame (thanks WC for your mediocre job). At least before the end I was able to tame that desired dino properly. Thank you.

thanks to I have got my very first basilisk it was a pain without this vid because it kept attacking random stuff and also you can use wyvern eggs you have to use lighting tho cause I dropped a poison and a fire and it did not eat them
I’m on my own sever, I’ve tried this beofre on official and it works but for some reason on my own server I can’t build on the dodo. Maybe it might be that it’s sticking out but gonna keep trying untill it works lmk if it doesn’t work anymore
It works still, just had a comment a few days ago saying it was successfully done on official. Maybe try a different pet or make sure you are using the Triangle foundations, the squares only work with a handful of creatures
I think it has been patched every time I attempt this method the basilisk goes under the map. Sometimes attacking my light pet sometimes not but never taming.
You need to stay within range of the basilisk so it doesn't bury. It works still, I recently did it on Official & even used a Sanguine Elixir but it takes a long time between feedings.

Does it have to be wild eggs or can it be bred eggs?

That typically happens if it has already been fed prior to your attempt, only knocking it out can properly reset it.

just used w/ a friend in a non-dedicated to get a 135 and a 150 :)))
I absolutely love the thrill of taming these, the most intense was sneaking up on foot and using a Sanguine Elixir.
Good video and to the point. That hunger icon was driving me crazy though at the end lol.

basilisk didnt aggro onto the shoulder pet? what should i do
Run past the shoulder pet a bit quicker but don't go too far, leaving render will cause it to burrow.
@@NappyPlayz i got out of the basilisks aggro but it just buried itself next to the shoulderpet and didnt aggro

After the first feeding there is a long gap where it will just keep biting until it is hungry again
