Lovely! I was planning to make a reroot in an 80s steffie face barbie and I wanted to give her this "puffy" bangs, but only tutorials I found on youtube were for those super thick blunt bangs (which I love, but I think they look best on modern dolls. For vintage ones, specially superstar mold, I prefer the style shown here).

It always warms my heart when I see that the younger generations are as in love with the Superstar Era Barbies (late 70's and 80's) as those of us who were there. So i REALLY enjoy your videos on the dolls =) Dolly Hugs!

@@rioboy13 Not at all, it is just the truth. I remember all of your pictures on Flickr. I love all era's but I started collecting vintage and mod LONG before I started RUclips. I have most of that stuff that I want, I am actually thinking of sharing it here soon. I love vintage because of my parents. They were born in the early 60s they always loved stuff from the 60s and 70s and my siblings are all born in the 80s so I experienced 80s culture through them. I feel i have lived those periods to a degree. HUGS!! ❤️

Very interesting! Especially seeing the thatching... I have absolutely no patience for that but wanna try it! LOL (Will it work if I wanted to change a centre-parted doll into a side part?) and I will definitely use the tip to set the curl in ice water after the boiling water, as I don't usually do that. She looks FABULOUS now!!! Way better, and I love the 'retro' vibe of that curled fringe on her... it's kinda like she now has a hint of 'vintage' to her! Love that very 80's girly pop music in the background! :P

    • @DeanReen

Last time I thatched was on a Skipper doll. It was ages ago. I forgot how frustratingly difficult it is to do well. I don't do whole plugs as it looks blocky. It is fairly straight forward, just time consuming. I'm not sure if it will work for changing a part. It would depend on the doll and how the hair is rooted. Setting with ice water (or even putting the doll in the freezer) is a must. Every time I have done that the result is permanent (I do it for shaping limbs too) and when I don't do it the result gradually morphs back for some reason. Thanks! I like the fringe. For some reason I love brunette with fringes and blondes without. This doll is pretty both ways though. You should get into 90s now Spagbol! 😂
