How To: Thatch a Partline on your Doll Hair [Reroot or new and unboxed]

- In today's video, I'm showing you a full, detailed thatch hair tutorial! Thatching is a technique where you create a neat partline.
Normally, I prefer to use an easier method, but specific reroots (like a split haircolor) really need to be thatched. I also use the thatching method on new dolls sometimes, that don't have their partlines done well enough.
In this video, I'm showing you the method on my brand new Rainbow High doll reroot that was inspired by Nicki Minaj

I needed this video to help me with my pitiful Jett Dawson. I hope MGA does not follow in Mattel's footsteps and start giving us lower quality dolls. I love the Rainbow High dolls and I always purchase two of each doll so I can leave one displayed in the box. However, I am going to return my 2nd Jett Dawson to the store. I think I've seen thatching on fringes like on Cinderella and Aurora
Hi! I hope you can help! I have a doll with a very deep side part that I don’t like and old like to move it so it’s not so far over. Can I do that or do I first have to establish if there are 2 parallel rows I can use for the new part? If there aren’t 2 rows somewhere, am I stuck with this part I don’t like? Thank you!!
Hi there!! You could look for those 2 parallel rows, if they're not there, you can always try partially rerooting the doll to get a new partline!
