You can also get that affect with regular neon tetras and black neon tetras mixed because they school like one species and the royal blue from the regular neon tetras and the aqua blue from the black neon tetras looks amazing against red plants and the black neons have that orange flash above their eyes💯🐠🌱💙🔥
I just got my paws on the A.r. rosanervig version,I think it's midway in height eventually between mini and normal size. It was tissue culture so some dissolved in the change from test tube baby to submerged...but the rest has done very well for a start up plant.
At 4:55... what are those pretty pink plants! (NVM -Answerd at 9:05 😅 ) Pink Flamingos. I got some Alternathea a couple weeks ago, its judt been chillin in my tank in its little sale basket. Looks like its gona survive, so im here to check up on proper planting n care! ❤
My Althernathera Reinicki mini is way more bushier and less tall. I used high light and co2 only at the beginning to help them. But after they had their roots in to the deep fertile substrate, they exploded in size. WITHOUT CO2 I might add. Beautiful plants, hardy too. But for my 35 galon, it's more of a midground plant than foreground. Oh well, I'll replant them once they get really big. 😋 The replanting mess will hurt tho. 😕
Your planting tweezers looked so easy that I went straight to aquariumcoop and ordered myself a pair just now😀. I hope you have the same ones. I'm surprised how inexpensive they are. I have some now that are wider and I don't like them at all. They are straight too. I have the A.R. plant and Love it. I've separated it a couple of times and replanted already.
If they are not exact, I would be super surprised! I don't like the wide straight ones at all either. Maybe I will fins some silly application for them someday...
@@CorvusOscen They have the "aquarium co op" approval stamped on the handle😀. I used them for the first time today and once I got the hang of them they worked pretty good. I'm happy to have them.

Great video & info on a sweet plant, one day when I graduate from plant noob Ima try it lol. Had to improvise on the fly there lol. Was actually sleep at 4-5am for once lol usually I'm up 3-4x during the night.
Absolutely love your channel bro, I can't wait for the pink flamingo vid. I am a noob to the planted tank but I would love to have the flamingos, ludwigia red and a few others to my 20 gal long ( no co2 yet ) in the next few weeks.
I love alternanthera, but my first attempt with it went horribly because (I think) I didn't use CO2, and the plant grew too slowly to fight off algae. Fingers crossed I can keep it healthy next time, because I do love red plants in my tanks. (And that crypt flamingo -- wowza!)
great info!!.. do these plant tend to melt when introduced to a new set up??.. how do they perform in a low tech dirted tank??..what are the precuations and care??
I've got Roseanvig which is gorgeous. I love the magenta color. Now I'm dying to have the mini version. You're such a bad influence. lol Is that Echinodorus "Purple Knight" in the foreground? That's another one of my favorites. I love the purple-black leaves with green veins.
I want both of these plants but they’re hard to find where I live I’m having a hard time finding pink flamingo crypts even on the Internet I have a spot picked out for it I don’t really have a spot picked out for the AR mini yet but I have a general idea of where I’m putting it💯🌱💙🔥
Had it doing well for months...then took cuttings when it got leggy..and that was the end of it. Cuttings did not thrive and stems left never broke buds. Might try again..You have to keep trying when you get that close to success. Low tech btw.
The late night vids are always my favorite, I wait to watch them in the dark. Love the music!
These plant videos are great and u are the only man on youtube that makes videos like this well done bud stay safe
The AR mini is looking great my friend! Awesome video with great info - loving the plant spotlights!
It shall continue!
I really like the mini. It doesn't overwhelm smaller aquariums, has a beautiful color and it's not fussy.
You just posted the reasons I like it too!
Just something about those deep red colors in all that green, looks amazing
It just fits, am I right?

Love these plant spotlights. :) also love that Alternathera Reinekii Mini is a deep purple red like some kind of awesome lipstick.
Thanks Alyssa!
Digging the late night uploads! Just got some AR mini recently, this helps.
Glad I could help you out!
Great video. I’ve been incorporating these in the mid ground of my scapes and really enjoying them. Thanks for the propagation tips!
They are really good for filling in those gaps and cracks!

Excellent video. I enjoyed watching! Thank you for sharing. I love that mini plant!
It's a fantastic splash of color for sure!

this was a good chaser to the relax video
I think it came out alright!
That little endler...like hey buddy...what's happening here...sends red cherry shrimp to check it out.
👍💕👍
beautiful plant. I love the mini version
I agree Pam!
Always love what you do but love the new format especially!
Thanks for checking in!
Love the species spot lights. Keep them coming.
I will certainly do them as fast as I can!
I told my parents I wanted a watch for Christmas so they let me. Bidda bing!
Another great video even though you looked super tired 😴
I look super tired sometimes, as that's how I feeling! ha ha!

Waiting with great anticipation for the video on the crypt pink flamingo.
It's coming, I am running a few tests to see about something before I post it though!

Super duper professional production. ☺ I cant grow that one too good. Hahaha
Thanks Chris! It's a labor of love!
i came here to learn about the AR but ended staring at the pogo.

This link doesn't actually have any of these plants.
@wades623 Thanks! Removed it!
U have beautiful AR do u use any fertilizer or co2 if u do how many times a week do u add on

That video will be coming soon, still hammering a few tests to see about something... SECRET SURPRISES!
Hi, may I know if it can be grown on driftwood?
I need to add some AR Mini to my 90 gallon shrimp scape...
Yes you do Brian!
I love alternanthera, but my first attempt with it went horribly because (I think) I didn't use CO2, and the plant grew too slowly to fight off algae. Fingers crossed I can keep it healthy next time, because I do love red plants in my tanks. (And that crypt flamingo -- wowza!)
Main thing to fight off the algae is to trim the tops and replant. Almost always the old leaves will get algae on them!
What plant is the one between the pink plants? The green and purple one.
It looks quite large for the variety. Are you sure it is the Mini one. Where did you get it from?
What is the plant with black/purples leafs 2:53 ?
Love your videos, you provide such good info on the plants. What is that purple and green plant between the two pink flamingo?
Purple knight sword. Pretty plant, but, infuriating.
@@CorvusOscen thanks for replying. Why infuriating? Is it difficult to keep?
great info!!..
do these plant tend to melt when introduced to a new set up??..
how do they perform in a low tech dirted tank??..what are the precuations and care??
"Dirted" tanks are a disaster waiting to happen. These plants will probably melt when shipped and placed in another water source.

Is that Echinodorus "Purple Knight" in the foreground? That's another one of my favorites. I love the purple-black leaves with green veins.
You are correct! That is the Purple knight. If only it would split, then I could move it!
Do you sell the AR mini and pink flamingo crypt?
I sell nothing. I don't sell plants, you can check in with the coop, or I'd check with locals to see what they got!
Is there a shorter growing red plant? Looking for something for a nano tank that can be in the foreground and background.
Cryptocryne Jacobsonii red.
Awesome thanks man! :)
Is this ok without me using co2?
Do you know if this plants does any die back in a new tank?
Some plants die back in the conversion process, that's very natural!
I want both of these plants but they’re hard to find where I live I’m having a hard time finding pink flamingo crypts even on the Internet I have a spot picked out for it I don’t really have a spot picked out for the AR mini yet but I have a general idea of where I’m putting it💯🌱💙🔥
What about aquarium co-op ?
What kind of sword is that between the pink flamingo crypts?
Purple knight sword! Very small and slowest of growing!
Had it doing well for months...then took cuttings when it got leggy..and that was the end of it. Cuttings did not thrive and stems left never broke buds. Might try again..You have to keep trying when you get that close to success. Low tech btw.
What kind of substrate are you using in that tank?
ADA, Fluval Stratum and Flourite black sand!
My only complaint about this video is the music in the background got on my nerves after a while💯
I agree. I fired the sound guy!
What is the sword between the pink flamingos? It is a black knight sword?
Purple flame knight!
I like this plant but it is not looking no where near as deep red as yours in my low tech. I’m looking forward to getting some co2 to it. 🤘
jam some Co2 and some iron once a week!
How much iron you put in the water please?
I dose according to the directions on the bottle. Sometimes extra.
Seachem Flourite Black any good?
Sure!
is that seachem substrate?
ADA, Fluval Stratum and Flourite black sand!
that stuff reminds me of hygrophilia, which is red under the leaf and green on top.
In a way, I see what you're saying!
💕👍
First!!!!!😁
Nice work Frank!
