    Look at his spirit. Man fighting with deadly lung cancer sharing light moments with such ease. Truly the greatest ever commentator and a noble human being. I salute him.

    I grew up listening to Tony Greig voice on my TV when I used to wake up at 5 am to watch the test match in Australia. No one can ever fill the void left behind by Tony, R.I.P.

    Richie benaud, Tony cozier and this gentleman made watching and listening cricket very exciting RIP. It's sad living legendary cricket commentators such as Geoffrey boycott and Bill Lawry dont appear anymore

    Absolutely tony was a true cricketer and legendary commentator he was the person brought goosebumps to the spectators with his outstanding commentary skills..no one can replace in his position..RIP from a cricket lover Andhra Pradesh Tiruapti India.....I am a big fan only to listen his commentary I watched cricket although the match was not played by india...

    Best cricket comentator the world has ever produced. Brimming with energy, insatiable hunger for explaining and probing in to the multiple ploys of the game, mesmerising voice, frank point of views and the master of presentation ceromonies. Tony Greck had the best pronunciation of English epitomising the clarity of England. His voice will continue to inspire english comentaters around the world. rIP Tony.

    He is the first face emerging before eyes whenever I say, listen or read the word "commentary". He was the trendsetter of modern cricket commentary, every words used by current set of modern commentators have reflections tracing back to him. Only time can, not any person, could fill up the void he has left after him.

    😢 a great man great commentator.always give his honest views evenly for both teams which are playing. Many Indian commentators just speak in favour of Indian players. But this man appreciates each and every player who playing remarkably. Miss him I learned my English by watching his commentary. Always miss you sir tony.

      Great comment. Tony was a great entertainer, i think he was loved in india? He certainly gained the respect of australians and in 74-76 he fought hard to make an england side that won respect. Yes he said things that were "near the knuckle" but none of it was ever malicious, just ultra positive, ultra competitive

    This guy was Sri Lanka's inside man in the commentary box from ~1994- his passing. Was even the official Travel ambassador at one point. Dynamite human being.
