What a comment sir!. In this one line you have summed up all the emotions that I as a 23-year old and and many others of our respective generations had for Tony Greig Sir. Much respect to you for this. RIP Tony Sir. We Miss Him. _/\_
Look at his spirit. Man fighting with deadly lung cancer sharing light moments with such ease. Truly the greatest ever commentator and a noble human being. I salute him.
The void you left cannot be ever filled..... May you attain the supreme bliss of Nibbana....... The Great Commentator ever...... You preferred our team and branded Kalu as "Little Kalu", Sanath as "Master Blaster", Arjuna as"Captain Cool" and Rock Solid De Silva as "GREAT Aravinda De Silva"....... We respected you by giving you our citizenship.... You are like a Sri Lankan to us.. We Sri Lankan Love you a lot... Tony.....
The man who was the voice of cricket, he and Geoffrey Boycott are the voice to my boyhood dreams of scoring century for India. Sir you made cricket a passion for me as a child
I grew up listening to Tony Greig voice on my TV when I used to wake up at 5 am to watch the test match in Australia. No one can ever fill the void left behind by Tony, R.I.P.
Richie benaud, Tony cozier and this gentleman made watching and listening cricket very exciting RIP. It's sad living legendary cricket commentators such as Geoffrey boycott and Bill Lawry dont appear anymore
I can recall this emotional moment which i saw live in 2012,the voice in my childhood,he was wishing to get back at Sydney test but died before during melbourne test, what a reality of life

Best cricket comentator the world has ever produced. Brimming with energy, insatiable hunger for explaining and probing in to the multiple ploys of the game, mesmerising voice, frank point of views and the master of presentation ceromonies. Tony Greck had the best pronunciation of English epitomising the clarity of England. His voice will continue to inspire english comentaters around the world. rIP Tony.
He is the first face emerging before eyes whenever I say, listen or read the word "commentary". He was the trendsetter of modern cricket commentary, every words used by current set of modern commentators have reflections tracing back to him. Only time can, not any person, could fill up the void he has left after him.
😢 a great man great commentator.always give his honest views evenly for both teams which are playing. Many Indian commentators just speak in favour of Indian players. But this man appreciates each and every player who playing remarkably. Miss him I learned my English by watching his commentary. Always miss you sir tony.
Tony, a great commentator who made our childhood so interesting with his voice and professional approach in cricket commentary. These days there are so many unprofessional clowns in the business.... Tony, you will be remembered forever....LEGEND
Great comment. Tony was a great entertainer, i think he was loved in india? He certainly gained the respect of australians and in 74-76 he fought hard to make an england side that won respect. Yes he said things that were "near the knuckle" but none of it was ever malicious, just ultra positive, ultra competitive
This guy was Sri Lanka's inside man in the commentary box from ~1994- his passing. Was even the official Travel ambassador at one point. Dynamite human being.
As a 35 year old man, I can proudly say, Tony Greig was the voice of my childhood.
