Your distance and club selection is super helpful in the videos, but w different manufactures using different specs, easier to know if your 7iron is my 7 iron, or possible my 6 or 8. Mmmm id study that all day lol. But ya when her right leg turns in with her hips on the downswing in one fluid motion. Hips and legs turn and then shoulder and arms follow. A lot of rotational force and the best part was her driving her feet into the ground as she downswing... creating that extra force downward and forward as she extends and finish her swing.

    Great Video Gen! I had to pause the video to make sure I saw it correctly when you hit driver off the deck. I think you should do a video on just that--just for fun. I've never even considered hitting driver off the deck because a) I never practice it b) the opportunity rarely comes up and c) it's never worth the risk
    I had a friend in LA once take the ball a someone hit into our group, tee it up and hit it back at them.
    I really like the in depth analysis on #17. How long does it take you sort all this out on a new course, just a single practice round? My home course is a Pete Dye design and it's taken me dozens of rounds to even start to figure out where to aim on each shot.

  • @MPerski
    @MPerski 3 года назад +1

    That happened to me on Friday on the 17th hole, a par-4, approach shot over a pond. A good tee shot is over a hill and rolls down near the pond. I hit a great drive that rolled just short of the pond leaving 105 to the green. After waiting for the others in my group to hit their second shots, I’m getting set to hit my wedge and I hear a “thump” and a ball lands about ten yards behind me. I hit my wedge and when I turned I saw that one of the guys I was playing with put that other ball onto a tee in the fairway (I guess to let the guy know he hit into us). I told him, “Don’t be THAT guy” and he removed the tee. In his defense, the guy that hit that shot couldn’t see us down by the water.
    As I was walking into the green to putt, the guy drove up in a cart and apologized (he was obviously shaken, and didn’t see us). I said “no worries”. After he drove off, I told my friend, “Now wouldn’t you have felt bad messing with his ball since he was genuinely apologetic?”
    Be this guy, not that guy ☝🏻
    As far as that par-3 #17 …
    (I paused the video)
    I would hit my hybrid at the flag.
    PLANNING: What is it to carry the bunker on the left? If it’s playing 183 to the flag, I’m guessing it’s 170 to carry the bunker. The green slopes left to right, so I wouldn’t play away from that bunker, and if I play right side of green (to take the left bunker out of play) I’d bring the back bunker into play, or if my shot fades right, probably a tough chip from rough right of the green.
    SELECTION: That’s my 5-hybrid which I can hit high, easily clear 170 and land soft. A five iron might bounce & run off the green.
    EXECUTION: I love my 5-hybrid & have a lot of confidence in it.
    p.s. I didn’t consider playing short right to leave an easy uphill chip. 🙄 Oops!
    That’s why you’re a pro and why I occasionally get a big number 😉
