I'm a pretty good hobbyist woodworker but this guy is on such another level I'm beyond wowed. Some of those techniques are stuff I couldn't even dream of doing. Amazing work. This is a work of art.
I'm envious. The right tool for the specific job and and tools as well. I'm sure he has some happy clients. The leg construction was particularly innovative.
You and me both lol. It is clear he has spent a lot of time honing his skills, and tools for that matter. I'm not sure I have that kind of time available to invest lol.
I feel asleep and dropped my phone and everyone laughed at me, because your voice is very soothing. I loved every part of this, especially the toxic varnish. If it were me I'd have my water bottle within reach of the spray too.
Some of the ideas used in the process are great for both experienced and new woodworkers or even people with minimal experience Also, great table design.
Been hearing you talk about this and I recall seeing it on your stories but now seeing this guild preview i'm really inclined to actually tackle this one, or my version of it, at least, since I don't know that I or anyone i know would need a square table, but I love the style. Everything except for blending the legs into the rails looks very doable, but that part looks like torture.
This is a beautiful piece. Love the craftsmanship. Those templates.... 😍😍😍. I always associate TWW with quality. Phillip Morley is definitely a good fit. My goal this year is to be more productive and purpose driven in the shop. One of my other goals was to go to the Mark Adams school as it is close to me. But I just realized something.... I could put that money to be a part of the guild instead!!! New goal!!!
LOL! This was great. Thanks for the laughs. Great job Philipa I saved the FWW article so I could compare it to the guild videos. Awesomr job to you both and fun edit.
Beautiful work. I hope you went to the local natural swimming holes while you were in town. Jacob's Well is the coolest. You would appreciate it's natural shape and depth.
This is what I love about your channel.. you promote camaraderie among your fellow artisans.. unlike some other woodworker vlogger out there who cannot make a video without dissing anyone whose tools are more expensive than his.. what a mere loser..
@5:32 I died. Hahahaha. I just started trying out Odie's Oil and I may never use anything else again. imgur.com/a/UajSHkC Two sets of plant stands I built. Strips were maple. The walnut and cherry were air dried and barn stored for 40 years. I couldn't believe the color of the walnut.
Adding the "toxic sh!t" without gloves is probably not the dumbest thing to do. Using the wrong gloves is often worse than using no gloves at all, and there are almost no "right" gloves for organic solvents. They diffuse through common disposable nitrile gloves within a few seconds or minutes. But you feel safe, don't change the glove and are in contact with the stuff for an extended period of time. If you don't wear gloves, you notice spills on your skin and can take them away quickly.
I remember watching one of his shop tour videos where he explained that he hand sharpened them to get a hand plane shaving off of it. ruclips.net/video/y_aTeOsFKzw/видео.html

Wonderful looking table. It’s clear that not only is he very skilled but he really takes pride in his work.

We want more Phillip Morley!!! The videos and information in them were awesome!!!!
That was beautiful. The craftsmanship is amazing, and so is his equipment.

So many things I've never seen before. Thank you Marc and Philip!
I love watching these videos, but they make me realize how much more I have to learn about woodworking.

Very nice! Conversion varnish is my finish of choice too

I always like his furniture designs.. His rocking chair is beautiful and so is this table
Loved the table saw jig👍
My shop is in Austin. I think I'll have to see if I can visit sometime. I love seeing other people's processes.

Are the legs sapele? They look awesome
What nozzle number did he use to spray that finish ? Thanks
Beautiful table an excellent job, what kind of wood have you used?
Beautiful work. I hope you went to the local natural swimming holes while you were in town. Jacob's Well is the coolest. You would appreciate it's natural shape and depth.
Lovely table, what species of wood is that? Mahogany?
It’s just a really good job, amazing
Beautiful table! Perfect amount of snarky Marc Haha
Gorgeous !!!
Awesome stuff! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
What brand of finger bit does he use? I've been struggling to find one. Fabulous edit too.
Nice.
Jesus this guy is talented and knowledgeable
No joke about the stroke sander? Something like stroking ones wood?
Those legs are beautiful. That slight bow really makes this table show-stopping.
3rd time is the charm... what wood is that?
mahogany (base) and walnut (top)

At least he wore a mask while spraying. He must love the taste of saw dust.
For the first 3 seconds, I thought Phillip had the same voice as Marc!!
If I send you my address in how many days they deliver it to me
Buena cabina para pintar........

ya'll kids caint trampoline today! I'm sprayin Finnish
Ah, all that toxic shit.. makes wood beautiful.. xD
How many times have you changed the name of this guy? I'm watching you :P
show me something i can make...this is impossible ...toooooooooooooo gooooooooood
When I saw the thumbnail I heard my mouth say 'ooh i like that' out loud. It was a little weird, just thought you should know.
His design is as impressive as his shop. Crazy how fast you can make perfect work like this with $100,000 in equipment.
I was thinking that too.

Did I hear him right? "Don't use a Woodpecker straight edge cause then it won't be straight."
"If you don't...then it won't be..."
Hand sharpened joint knives so they leave a smoother edge? Say what?!
Yeah, he's nuts.

Hey I do the same thing, leaves a beautiful surface. Often don't even need to sand
@@hazardousafe I couldn't tell if that was sarcasm or a real thing 🤣. Thanks for the info and the link...I'll check it out right now 👍
@@christobar I never knew him sharpening plain or blades was better than machine sharpening... 🤯
Cool)
I am the 12th comment. Did I win anything?
I want to get that table pregnant.
Another young talented woodworker who's lungs are going to be f#cked in a few years. 😥
