OMG, The Curtains affecting the GI, it's a dream!!!! Some clientes asked if I could animate a curtain in the architectural project, and my answer was always no. Now this is changing. (The glass tho :D)
That's because the legs are too thin to register in the Lumen acceleration structure. This can be fixed manually for thin objects like the table if the artist specifies that the object requires a more detailed heightfield, Unreal will bounce light and shadows off of the object with more precision. Alternatively, if you use hardware ray tracing (like RTX) with Lumen then it bounces light and shadows off the actual polygons instead of the heightfield so it always looks perfect - like here: ruclips.net/video/RP4PrAv8bqo/видео.html
software raytracing is so good that it has extended the life of so many GTX users , if not the shadows and reflections atleast people will be able to benefit from realtime GI
You're probably the few Indonesian who believe in UE in archviz... been asking my designers to learn UE, they all said no until I convert one of their scene in UE5. Apparently UE4.0 didnt convince them...
Not really haha, Unreal has always been nicer in terms of graphics. This doesn't change the fact that it's almost impossible to do any serious game development with Unreal without a massive time commitment for learning and working
@@hvroblox I know Unity is good too, but it's always been the case that UE is the "good graphics engine" and Unity is the "easy indie engine", UE5 doesn't change that at all

That would be impossible to run ^^'. I'd rather stick to VRChat for now, especially with MocapForAll coming in a few weeks (it allows for accurate Full Body Tracking with just a few webcams).
