Good video with great tips. I've made it to immortal a few times, the tip I'd give apart from the ones you mentioned:
Don't be too linear with your gun choice, judge/odin/operator can be just as good/better than vandal/phantom (im an immortal odin main)

You're totally wrong, you should only play sheriff/guardian and flex with your onetaps all the time

These apply, but if you're in Iron and have good aim it's probably just gamesense and understanding of the game. Give it some time and focus on your fundamentals, aim, gamesense, general understanding.

Honestly if you're below gold in valorant the chances are that you simply haven't played the game enough. After all, improvement takes a fair amount of consistent practice. I'd recommend playing at least 5 days a week if you're serious about getting better. Tips like the ones given in this video are great and can be very helpful for faster improvement, but if you don't play enough, you'll only be improving at the same rate as everyone else, which means you won't be getting better than them (granted, to get better than iron players you don't have to play much, but to get better than silver or gold players you need to play consistently)

@@ghosttiger38 I play like 2 competitive matches a day, and maybe 1 deathmatch and 1 team dm. Not practicing in any aim trainers

Avoiding autopiloting is so easier said than done. Even in my Ascendant lobbies, things are so braindead that it's STILL vastly just about who has better mechanics. With so many factors working against you, the ultimate objective often becomes: "Shoot 5 enemies in the head and trade any teammates still alive because your teammates aren't reliable enough to even win a 3v1" over something like "improve your teamwork skills and IGLing skills". I can IGL and make good calls all I want, but it basically doesn't matter. We still lose because I can't 1v5 the enemy.
And therefore, it just becomes the same thing over and over. You lose rounds you statistically will rarely win. Team becomes demotivated. You recognise that the team has given up. You don't give up, but you still lose because trying was ultimately pointless. Trying to boost morale doesn't work, because people obviously don't care about the win once they have given up. It's just a video game.
I think the real advice to anyone who is struggling to hit immortal is: Get boosted to Immortal, and then keep duoing with some high elo player. All the relevant (useful) ideas will apply, over having to overcome the pointless tedious waste of time that the Ascendant elo is (having to ace every round for consistent results). And because all the useful ideas will be applicable and will be very relevant, you will see much more progress over wasting your time trying to get through the inconsistent hell that solo q ascendant is.
Obviously, I only recommend you get boosted to immortal if you are already a super strong diamond3 player or an ascendant player. If you are looking to rank up to any elo, playing against players from that elo is your best bet, but only within reasonable boundaries. A bronze player will obviously not benefit from playing against immortal players. More pressing issues for a bronze player would be to learn the basics of the game first, as well as all the basic and simple ideas that commonly apply when playing.
