My grandfather taught me the bar soap on wood screw threads as a thread lock when I was 7-8 years old. 30 years later I still use it here and there during house, deck, fence, and shed repairs. Best trick for exterior because temperature fluctuations causes softer woods, like pine/cedar etc., to expand and contract.
The bar soap is there for lubrication, I use it as well sometimes. I'm not very convinced it can be used as a thread lock, it's just a soap, not very hard but hey anything is possible
@old ogre that's what I use. Tee lights. A lot cheaper than soap and softer and easier to use plus you don't need to cover the whole screw, once a bit lubricates the first part of the hole you're good to go.
2:1 Spinning a can will not mix the paint. 2:55 Why ruin the pencil? Just hold it under the board. 3:59 The ragged cut is on the up-stroke. The clean cut is on the down-stroke, with or without the tape.
I've used a VW Polo car jack exactly the same way (about two years ago) to disasemble pallets to build pallet coffee tables. But you can damage the jack.
... but u need a lot of tools to do all this kind of work! And sometimes u need to create your own tools according to your creative needs as they may not be readily available in market! Well, I too belong to that tribe! 💕
I have an issue with using the drill to mix the spray paint can. Centrifugal force would move the mixing ball and the paint to one side of the can and just spun it around. Nothing will get mixed.
This is probably the first video with a title like this where I can at least see why someone would need these ideas. I will probably even end up using some of them! Of course it's not anything groundbreaking, but it reminds you to think outside the box. Everyone in the world has something else laying around, so when we need a quick "invention", we craft it out of that. But you might not think of other uses for things you never use, and thus, never buy. Now, time for me to go buy a few more clamps. One can never have too many of them.
Thanks for your comment, dude! I didn't want to sit through like half this 12-min video and then decide it wasn't worth my time. Fake DIY videos are the current plague of RUclips and all that. Thanks again. Much appreciated.
@@TheRealFaceyNeck Honestly, I only clicked on it because I thought: "Oh come on, what could you possibly make out of a cut up spoon?" I tend to ignore DIY videos like this after seeing someone "solder" with a bit of wire glued to a lighter. But I have to admit, this one is actually kind of useful. It certainly gets the creative juices flowing.
Just when I thought the 90 degree super-pencil was a game-changer, along comes the pinnacle of genius; The pounding of a stubborn nail flat into the board because you can’t seem to pull it out after a couple of attempts. It always seems so easy yet that’s the brilliance of this technique. Quite astonishing.
Hahaha...im sure everyone has all these tools and a shop not to mention the "mechanical" inclination and the time to do this stuff when its cheaper and quicker to just buy the tool thats already out there.....hmmm!...the tightening the bolt with another bolt is hilarious...because i only have one wrench period!!!...c'mon...i swear this $hit is absolutely hilarious!
I don't watch these type of videos for a single solution to a single problem on a single day, instead, I watch these type of videos because they teach me how to think outside of the box, so that I can solve a multitude of problems throughout a life time when they arise. kind of like the quote "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and he can feed himself for a lifetime".
Well, of course I knew already some of those tricks - but I was absolutely flabbergasted by this presentation. It really invites you to get out into your workshop and try some of them. Thanks a lot !
Granted, these ideas are unique, and admittedly, pretty clever and cool...but none the less, completely impractical for us every day working Joe's, we just grab a hammer and start swinging, or pick up a sheet of ply wood and pack it wherever we need to go with it, honestly we just wouldn't really have the time to do all of that just in order to make it easier, alot of us are on a timeline and every second counts!

A few handy ideas here that aren't just repeats of repeats of repeats from a hundred other channels!
Yeah I hate seeing repeats. Especially when it's vids from the same channel, or in the same vid like one I saw last night.
Muchas gracias por compartir tus conocimientos. Excelentes aportaciones 😃👍
Sencillamente increíble mucho ingenio ,,,👍👍👍
What I found impressive is this mans paperclip and rubber band collection must be pretty immense.
Don’t forget all the bulldog clips! 😁

Shouldn't be using a drill to drive screws in any way a drill is for drilling a driver is for driving

Smart!!! Lars
The drill and spray-paint is creating a centrifuge. The contents is likely being separated by density
