These new songs are extremely good, no they are not heavy, no they don't sound like undertow, I dont give a shit about random heaviness, I'm 37 years old now and have matured beyond that way of thought, I will take these long , intricate, incredibly deep compositions over anything else at this point, that is just my personal opinion and current taste/mind state
Most of my fav tool songs are the longer intricate ones, so I def like the new stuff. It’s also apparent that age has caught up with Maynard, his range is diminished as is his ability to belt it out. All good, I’m older than I used to be too bro.
There is quite simply no other band in existence like Tool. They are like modern day Beethoven, Wagner or any other composers. Just on a whole other level musically and lyrically.
I passed by this song at first. Fear Inoculum and Pneuma were instant favorites, but Invincible and Descending had to grow on me. Now I like them more than FI and Pneuma. I think part of it is that when there are so many layers, so much going on, my mind can't really hear the song properly. It has to absorb it in stages to fully unlock it.
dude, then the guitar scales he plays around 10:30 leading into the crybaby whah.... ffs its hard not to feel that shit deep, unless your a stone cold motherless dumb Neanderthal
Maynard said many years ago that Tool was Adam's band. That can't be more apparent on this new album. The instruments are driving it and Maynard's genius is a little further back in the mix. the guitar playing is groundbreaking. New territory.
I can see that. but Adam needs Justin and Danny for his riffs to hit as hard as they do. Everyone praises Maynard in the comment sections, and rightfully so, but the other 3 guys are the body and essence of this band. Maynards just a dude that listens to their songs and gets inspired to sing, and they let him sing over their songs 🤫
Justin on the bass is PURE BLISS to watch. The sounds he gets out of that bass never seems to be an end of. This is an perfect example the sum is greater than the parts and usually it's the other way around.
I know many people are enamored of the monumental 7empest but for me this song has an underlying tone, filled with humanity, loss and transcendence. This is their most glorious effort by far. I'd give anything to see this live but I'm just too old. Thanks for your marvelous video.
As long as you’re not dead you’re not to old to see Tool live. Take a nice seat in an arena and have some of the best moments of your life. Saw Descending live last year and it was like a healing experience.
That guy in the crowd during the first half, arms up n tripping balls - that's how I think I'd be when I get to see them for the first time. Tool is everything that no other band can ever be. 🖤
This was my sixth time seeing Tool. It was freaking incredible. Hearing the song over RUclips does not do this song or “Invincible” justice. Can’t wait to see them again during the album tour.
I love the whole Fear Inoculum album. Its f'n phenomenal, but Descending is so EPIC and SPECTACULAR. It's my absolute favorite song on the album. Its f'n STUNNING.

Tool live is a religious experience. The first time I saw them on the Lateralus tour was so f'n incredible. The whole arena was silent, except for the clapping and cheers at the end of each song. Everyone was taking in the most beautiful moment. Tool on stage, there is nothing like it.
@@alexdeschenes243 Incredible. I'm going to see them next week. The new album is phenomenal. Right up there with Aenima and Lateralus. Hope you're going to see them too 😊😊🤘🤘
Matt, I’m gonna assume you’re a good guy. So ill play nice. But dude, isn’t it obvious I’m being a joker? I can’t think of one song I know from dokken. You get it now?
Tool is great but it did take 13 years for them to release 2 songs off an album that isn't even fully out..not like they had bangers year after year..but this new shit is awesome I will say that.
Love they are getting the balance of Maynard’s raw vocals to special effects for these new songs down better. Adds a whole nother dimension to the new songs
I have grown to LOVE this song! It's so classic Tool even without an epic Maynard scream. Showing their maturity through age without losing an ounce of who they are. I simply CANNOT wait until the album drop!!
Everybody has his own opinion but it is clear here that major people loves it. Tool is such a great band. Celebrate them no matter 13 years till new material. Tool fans are not all deserving this. Shame on them. It's their right to tell impatience but not criticize a band they loved or love. Such a shame. Grateful we must be for that new album and enjoy this really good new stuff despite high pressure on them and attempt ... Thanks guys. It is high level again ! You belong to my all time best sounds ever all style mixed up. Timeless music for all my life !

Some people need to learn f'n manners. When Tool is on stage you STFU, you put your f'n phone away and you don't f'n call out for your fave song. Idiots.
This is the best the last 3 minutes of this song has sounded in my opinion. I was so hyped for this song when the played snippets of it during the last tour, however the ending always sounded a little convuluted in the previous versions. They definitely nailed it, which, who am I kidding, of course they would....this album is going to be incredible.
Descending gives me goosebumps. It's so f'n beautiful!! Sounds like it belongs on Lateralus. Adam Jones' hair looks phenomenal 😂😂 I love it. Cannot wait to hear the new tracks live!!!!!
Thanks for all the videos, one of the best shows I've been to in a long ass time. Tool and Gojira need to do a tour together, two of the best live bands around.

With the main riff from Reflection overlayed on keyboard or synth. Hear it in the background. That's two songs from Lateralus being layered over one another.
I'll tell you part of what makes that sound like The Grudge is that the pattern Danny plays on his toms in that section is a 7/8 version of the 5/4 one he plays in The Grudge.
The more I listen to this song and invincible the better they get. Tool is all about perfection. So Technical and original, nobody else even comes close.

Free fall for our lived life
This epilogue of our own fable
Heedless... our slumber
Floating at the end
Free fall through this boundless land
This madness of our own making
Crawling, isn't flying
Growing isn't infinite
Come our end suddenly
All hail our lethargy
Come see suddenly
To the quick end
Disillusioned pray
We mitigate this ruin
Calling all to walk in order
Drifting through this boundless land
This madness of our own making
Sound our dire reveille
Row off our apathy
Lest we
Cease to be
Stir us from our
Walking slumber
Mitigate our ruin
Call us all to walk in order
Some will travel far
Through the primal body
Some will never leave
To be or not to be
Pride
Stay the grand finale
Stay the reading of our
Swan song and epilogue
One try to stay alive
Elementary muster every fiber
Mobilize
Stay alive
Stir us from our
Walking slumber
