Unfortunately a lot of people just want something that is easy to digest. For me personally, listening to music is a very intense experience and only music that I have to work hard to listen to satisfies me, and it took me many years to realize that not everyone in the world is as interested as I am in things like complexity, attention to detail, and composition. Tool will never be appreciated enough for the same reason that great philosophers and scientists and artists will never be appreciated enough: you have to give it time and energy. People are, for lack of a better word, lazy. They don't want to seek out and take time to experience great art. I feel sorry for these people honestly. They have closed and deactivated their mind, the greatest gift they have, and they will never experience the world to the fullest. At least you and I know and can experience Tool!!!

I saw them in Vienna. Before the gong thing they kept it quite repetitive, so i was drifting away with thoughts. Then he hits that gong, but in vienna he hit harder, so it was almost like a terrifying scream and i pulled me out of them thoughts and a realised that suddenly lasers appeared and in that moment I became a better version of myself.

Tools new music is amazing . Outta this world.
Pure genius, I feel bad for people who miss the opportunity to witness and embrace musical talent. They rather listen to artists who have no talent with names that are initials and letters...
@@josephtattum6365 I agree and thank you for your reply. I listened to Tool every night for a year straight during my last military deployment to Iraq. I worked out to them which helped motivate me and keep the distractions of military service while deployed less stressful. I sincerly wish this album would have been available. I've been a Rush fan since 1979, All the Worlds a Stage, I wish Tool could drop a live album especially off their current tour.
@@terrybaumann8628 Awesome man. Hey, thank you so much for your service. I appreciate people like you.
I'm literally trying to talk a friend into going with me. And he's a musician, wtf?
I concur. Listening to a 16 minute masterpiece is not for everyone. I think you have to be a certain kind of person to appreciate what Tool does. Some people want easily digestible garbage while the rest of us what to be taken on a journey and have our minds blown. That's where Tool comes in 😌
What Danny does to that drums though, damn epic. The guitar work epic, the vocals epic. Bloody hell
The bass too. Damn epic!
*word son*
think Danny broke his Peart Cherry with that Gong.
was likeSMAAASH!
... yea. ... torch just passed. ToolGongsm! who else keeps going back to 10:41 for that sugary fix... dont you lie..
EPIC INDEED!!!
Chills every time. Can't wait for the album.
Gleefully guilty.
If this doesn’t connect with you, you have no soul...
*probably a good indicator of no soul if this really does not connect with you!*
SOUND THE DREAD ALARM
I love that Danny is filmed heaps.. i like watching the other guys too, but theres just so much more going on physically on the drum set
Wow, there is really no other band on earth who compares to Tool. This album will be worth the wait
*75 days to go!*
Tomorrow I'm gonna see Tool in Amsterdam. So hyped..sitting at row number four from the stage. Had to sell a kidney for that, but who cares 😂
Dude i saw them in Budapest, a few days after the Amsterdam show. I don't know about you, but it was one of the best nights of my life. I literally cried for like 1/4 of the concert. This band means so much to me, and seing them live was an actual dream come true.
@@miloradstrbacki4248 it was the second time I saw them live, and I caught a plectrum from Justin. Best concert ever.
Heaven and Hell had a baby
Greatest 13:03 of music I have ever heard. I am a diehard Rush/U2/Pearl Jam fan, the energy and pure talent is incredible. My vocabulary isn't as strong as their musical talent, finding an adjective to describe this is too difficult. Simpy amazing!
You said it well......
WOW A GOOD BAND WITH GOOD MUSICIANS!!!!!!!!! LET ME WORSHIP THEM!!!!!!!!!!
This is the best live version so far
No, here: ruclips.net/video/nrinnnHckP8/видео.html
Thank you,Tool. Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!!
Man...over the last 4 years, I absolutely thought we were not going to see another TOOL album
I just cannot wait for Aug. 30th.
I actually feel like a kid the night before Christmas...you know, where time feels like its slowing down the closer we get to it....I havent been this excited in decades...it feels so great!
@@timothywyatt578 *nice!*
When that gong hit comes in, what a release of spiritual energy, hope Danny adds it to the master cut 🖖
he's like FINALLY!
*couldn't have been timed better I agree!*
Been listening to this on repeat since the first tour leaked.. Saw them in Lincoln.. This video really captures it right. Great job thank you so much for putting this up. The song has really grown on me lots of detail and tight precision.
*thanks and good to read you're digging my vid Ivan!*
That final riff!!! so powerful!!!!
you mean the Germans don't have any drunk ass people arguing while there performing a new song.
@Haki I'm so glad you said that lmao. I was going to, but it's so much better coming from a German than a vile American! 😂😂
@Haki Bitte!
God I just fukin love Adam's tone
Metal Maniac 7:26 gets me every time
His solo work on the new songs are epic you could call them bonefide solos which is awesome
You almost trick yourself into thinking they can’t be this good....those three guys must feel the utmost humble to be the best instrumental gathering of mankind. At least they have broken the envelope of perfection, and for everyone else to realize it besides them is a mind bender.
GOT THAT RIGHT BROHAM!!! AMEN #GREATNESSTRULYRECOGNIZED
they know, they are just humble about it 🤘🏼
Maynards voice an instrument too but yeah
must...not..overplay......the 2 new songs before album release.
When Danny hits that gong........tingles, I get tingles. So fucking epic.
*again- very true statement there James!*
@@christianbrunner1199 *coole Sache Christian!*
Danny proves why he is the goat
Whoever filmed this deserves a beer and some peanuts.
*thanks Sean!*
Def
That Gong Cymbal hit at 10:47, just floored the freaking audience haha.
Awesome!
only DC knows when to hit that.
Tool saved my life.
LOVE IT!! Nothing touches these guys,
Adam just about lost it during the solo, but got it back together pretty well.
Good shit
It was a difficult transition I think it was due to some effect not working properly he seemed confused about smth
Seemes like danny kinda lost thw beat at one point and started rushing, thats why adam kept looking over and trying to keep up
Danny added an extra beat and threw everyone off.
This song seems to be a desperate call to action to save the human race from self-inflicted doom. The narrator describes us as being stuck within a madness of our own making, and quite passionately expresses the need for us to rise up and take action- “lest we cease to be.”
Harvey Peña yes I definitely share your view. “Long descent to hell for mankind” in a way, I would say.
I also agree. I think it’ll be the theme of the album. Going by the pyramid and themes in both songs
Humans leaving earth to settle elsewhere
Similar to ‘Disillusioned’ (APC newer song of course). Anyone know where I can find the lyrics or at least a close interpretation of the lyrics?
Bang a gong, get it on! Sounds really good on my Sony headphones, can't wait to listen to the new album.
I first read it as bong a gong, both work
My favorite live song on youtube of Tool 2019-2020 because my favorite song of the album, live sound here and Danny is fantastic !!!!!!!
*right on!*
Agree best song of the album. Btw outstanding sound that you captured. Chapeau how you were able to capture it with the security guys roaming around every minute
@@AK-iy9nz *trade secret*
This and Invincible = PERFECTION
Every song over 10mins long on the album is perfection!
At 6:58... Adam casually throws his slide to the ground. "Gotta do a solo !"
Superb videos !!!
*well noticed and thanks for the kind words!*
Man, they sound better than ever, how is that even possible?
*they travel with their own equipment (from amp to PA). that and people on their crew that know what they're doing probably helps a lot to achieve a better sound each time.*
