That is not a fail. That's a joke made by Tom Sholz, the guitarrist and mastermind of Boston, one of the greatest rock bands in history. And Tom is one of the most virtuoso and creative guitarrists of all times. Yeah if you really watch it it seems obvious he’s fucking with everyone. It’s the same short loop as soon as he pulls off and then stops when he goes back. Let alone the fake “oops!” It’s pretty obviously fake and funny. Love it

I like it when they make mistakes, it proves they’re not instrument playing machines who can do everything perfectly. It shows that they’re still humans on that stage or wherever they may be playing
I like it too. You don't always have to be perfect. One day you could deliver one of the greatest pieces of guitar work in history. The next day, you might fail to get down a basic riff. That stuff happens.

@@Zerobudget2000 I was thinking how he would just stop playing like that in the climax of his solo. He obviously knew that the lights was only on him and that everybody was paying attention. Even if it was a playback, this kind of mistake would hardly happen. But now that you said it, I listened to it again and I am pretty sure that you are absolutely right, if you listen closely, the notes that keep playing sound like an echo, they don't sound like the other actual played notes. Well played, I would say.
