@@Cestariarts So did Brad Gillis, Jake E. Lee, and Gus G, but you know what they all did that made the solo work? They played it in the vein of Rhoads, moreso Lee and Gus G than Gillis and Gillis has gone on to say that when he filled in after Rhoads' death, he was criticized by fans because he didn't play the way Rhoads did though he's a heck of a guitarist too. Notice I didn't mention Bernie Torme. Great blues-oriented guitarist and he filled in before Gillis, but he had a completely different style that didn't match. Point is, everyone has expectations. When you hear anyone play Crazy Train, who's the guitarist you associate it with? Randy Rhoads. That's not to say Rhoads is the only one who can play the solo and it doesn't mean you can't add your own style either, but if you venture too far off, you have to be able to back it up with the performance and Slash failed to do that in front of that crowd with Ozzy in attendance. You guys don't know what you're talking about. No one can touch Lil Wayne's solo from Lollipop. It's the most epic guitar solo of all time. Lil Wayne is the guy who inspired all of these guys. That wasn’t Slash playing. That was drummer Robert Ortíz from Escape The Fate playing guitar.
Even the greatest of guitarists have their "off-days."
Lol you are spot on about the out of tune d string. And you can absolutely back up every criticism of slash with your own great playing. Great video
When ever I am miserable and life has thrown a "dog toy" at me... I watch Stevie's videos. Always put a smile on my face. Your not just making videos Steve, your saving lives one at a time. you rock !

I have 3 theories...
1. He's not Randy Rhoads.
2. He's not Randy Rhoads.
3. He's not Randy Rhoads.
@Genreguru With that, I'll add:
4. His guitar was out of tune. (No doubt it was, but that's not the only thing wrong with the attempt)
5. He's STILL not Randy Rhoads.
He don't have to be.. He is freakin Slash.... They are different players and have different skills... But yeah I am a slash fan and I didn't like it too...
Wylde also wasn't and nailed the solos ;)
Btw, I know this wasn't up to par for Slash's standards either. He's great and if given another chance, would probably be able to pull it off :)
Now...about Mr. Man Bun...
1. He's not Ozzy.
2. He's not Ozzy.
3. He's not Ozzy.
XD
True tho
I like how Myles Kennedy was the lead vocalist on this cover and was never mentioned in this video since his performance was the only one on point LMAO
Yep, his guitar technician is getting fired
He's had the same tech for years and is actually a childhood friend if my memory servers me right. Wouldnt be surprised since this was a random event if he didnt have his regular tech for whatever reason.

Sai Pranav not a great comparison
I know it is
Obviously
Extremely better
You guys don't know what you're talking about. No one can touch Lil Wayne's solo from Lollipop. It's the most epic guitar solo of all time. Lil Wayne is the guy who inspired all of these guys. Slash, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani they all do what they do in some feeble attempt to be able to produce some crude imitation of the master, Lil Wayne.
Dude, c'mon. There's no comparison. Of course Slash is a better guitarist than that shit show. It's like saying that Leonardo Da Vinci is still a better artist than the guy with no hands and who never drew a picture in his life but once took a dump on a canvas.

Just let Randy Rhoads play his own solos!
And not to be rude to Mr. Man Bun but he can't sing.
R.I.P. Randy Rhoads
Actually dude with a man bun can sing... Just his own songs though🤣🤣.. and I ant lying dudes actually a talent before and after this performance.. during he just forgot what he was doing so he started slapping his guitar, jumping round the stage and then yodalled🤣🤣.....
Check his band out 'Biffy Clyro' .. they're Scottish and actually really good... Plus they do some old school grungy messed up shit on stage.. he actually did almost an entire show with blood gushing from his nose because he twatted it on something 🤣🤣..

Its been decades since Randy Roads died... Also its a gibson, why would it stay in tune ?
In an alternate universe it would stay in tune and all other expensive guitars wouldn’t stay in tune. Except the G string. The G string would be in tune. Maybe
@Derek Charette basically almost all of the most influential guitar players ever in history?
Which is why I got an Epiphone SG-Pro instead. xD Just too lazy to tune that fucker every five minutes.
A solution is the Big Bends nut sauce.. Really helps keeping the whole thing in tune :)
Tunatosis seen during his cover of Schools Out with Stevie Stevens
Ozzy probably said “I should’ve have wrote that”.
let's be real here, Slash was always a sloppy player when it came to shredding. He's good at playing bluesy licks and mostly rather easy (but cool and legendary) sounding solos but they were never really in shred territory. So of course he can't play an Ozzy solo as Ozzy usually employed master shredders like Randy Rhoads and J. Lee. He can only lose when covering those solo note by note
Yes but the paradise city solo rips
@@DavidEvangelistaMusic true..and the live solo of double talking jive in 92 tokyo. Epic stuff 🤘
Your so fucking stupid. Slash has plenty of solos where he shreds.

Yup. Slash is no more than a good guitar player who made it big with catchy songs. I have students who would play circles around him...
