    I could not thank you enough, I wasn’t really sure if this was gonna work or be super effective just because I wasn’t sure how good I needed to be at cornering to begin with. But I did what you said and put my weight on the side. Sitting on the seam between the seat and the plastic, while putting a lot of weight into my foot peg, and I was hitting those corners great. Even though the bike was sliding, it wasn’t going down and I was railing into the straights. Thank you so much

    Thanks for this vid bro. I've been trying to get comfortable keeping speed in turns like these. I didn't know how to position my body differently. Makes a huge change. I'll add for me, I have to keep telling myself to look way up and out of the turn, it's much easier to hold the balance and not over correct mistakes.

    Tyler, great video again man a lot of useful info. I have a question though, when you’re going around this type of corner you’re trailing your leg as apposed to having it up high and straight out tight against the shroud like when cornering a rut. Is there any specific reason for this.

    Yeah its hard to sit hear as a motorcycle racer and not go a little crazy but that's the way things are ,people get nervous and forget everything,so as multi type racer u doin a awsum job,those of us that had to learn the hard way are just jealous,so we can't say to beginners,what we wish hopefully u have piece of flat ground if your totally green it don't take long to get the basic riding controls figure out,the, u can start trying out the different kinds of dirt,as a beginner just stay out of deep ass sand till u get really good its more like skiing on a motorcycle than anything else,the bike kinda floats,have fun take ur time,and learn thanks that was no fun that turn was really slick....rose he put it in my pocket....jack in the box....

    Cornering in general, flat or bermed, how do you know how many gears to drop on your way in? And how do you prevent locking up the rear wheel without using the clutch?

  • @RideWithTheWolf
    @RideWithTheWolf 10 месяцев назад

    There's a lot of details, but good video. You have to judge when to use gentle throttle (I said gentle) and when to let it breathe. The best advice would be to roll on the throttle and go a little faster each pass until you get to know the flat corner. I think you can be a great rider, but if you haven't taken the time to understand the terrain, you could find yourself washing out ... :D

It is exactly the same shifting, even a bit easier to implement because You are in neutral position with the bike and usually in that case You don't have any forces to interrupt You. Just need to train a coordination of your foot/ If You need to slow down after the jump shift down, if You want to accelerate shift up

  • @petergriffin4629
    @petergriffin4629 4 года назад +1

    Great video, though as a physicist, I have to cherry pick a bit. You don't have that body position to change the force of the tire into the ground. That force is the same no matter how you sit on your bike, you can't put more force downward to create more traction. You position your body like that, so that you can move the center of gravity more easily. And so that you can counter the bike moving around, if you'd ride the corner as you would on a road bike, you couldnt react to the bike's movement end wind up crashing.

    I noticed your not really turning that front wheel and kind of keeping it straight and leaning the bike to avoid washing out that front tire, like drifting. I still need practice... Great skillz & video... Fellow Texan here as well..
