and this 50 year old guy who has a track in his backyard coached me up and had me ride around standing only. its how i warm up every time i go to the track. ruts i couldnt even hit sitting earlier in the year i can now fly through standing. its a great thing to drill
I really needed these tips SO badly! I’ve been rewatching all of your old cornering/ruts/flat turn videos to make that my main focus for when I go to the indoor track this weekend so thanks for posting this!
You’re so welcome Grace!
Your videos are excellent. I’m a recreational rider and the proper techniques you teach increase the fun/safety level tremendously. I was a boxer and the proper basic technique drilled to automation and applied repeatedly in varying scenarios aka experience is so similar...In both you are corrected through impact. It’s all starting to come together🤙🏻. Thanks for the great instruction!
You are never “was a boxer” that shit never leaves you!
If anyone wants to learn about Jesus Christ reply
Thanks man just got my first bike a couple of weeks ago and your videos are helping a lot!
So good lesson! Well lets see what can i do...thanks a lot! Excellent
This past year when I was working on my cornering I would use your advice along with Kris Keefer. even though id have my leg up sometimes, it wasnt enough. Not really dabbing but it wouldnt let me feel comfortable enough to always commit to my lean, especially with turning to the right being my weak point. I then began actively thinking about lifting my leg almost an excessive amount, like above the front fender instead of towards it. It was awesome how much faster I was able to hit corners and stick. The exceptionally tight 180s are what I have to work on this year when winter is over....in 4 months
Extremely helpful video. You guys have saved me countless hours of trial and error with your these kinds of tips and practice drills. A huge Thank You!
Great tips. Especially the last one about looking out of the turn

I've been fearing riding a dirt bike so bad and I am going with someone I really like for the first time. Thank you so much for these tip videos!! Ready to ride now!!
How did you go?
well did u get a happy ending?
Dang that Honda sounds amazing ! Great video
It’s a great bike! Thanks for watching.
Love the videos man, I've been out of riding a few years due to financial reasons. Drives me crazy not being on a bike, can't wait till I'm in a position to get back into it😭
solid gold
Youre the best. Gr from Holland
❤️
Dang I probably can’t get that with my budget but I would of loved too, I can try to later on
This was really helpful! The thing I struggle the most with is going through corners, its the only area of the track i fall at the most. Could you make a video on how to go through tight small corners?
Coming right up!
Can you do a how to fall?
Great idea! Who is the volunteer haha
Do judo. Srs
I've learned that mitigating falls can be a valuable skill that can keep you riding instead of in the hospital. Doing a how-to vid would be a challenge though. Lol
Thanks, great stuff. I have sand corners on my track and I always struggle to ride them fast. Sometimes I crash in sand like a little girl. Can you pls show some sand corners as they seem to be a bit more difficult than dirt/clay corners? Cheers!
They just posted a video like a day ago
ruclips.net/video/zPUoSFSVNwI/видео.html&feature=share
sand corners are easier imo, cuz its softer so usually the ruts bigger and easier to get around. i dont use cluth in the sand section cuz then ill lose the grip on my backtire meaning im loosing time (i know im a year late)
Love the video keep it up thanks man!
You got it!! Thanks for watching
Yes sirrrr
Elbow up into the turns depending left or right ;-)
Can you do an in-depth rut video? I seem to struggle the most hitting ruts with any speed at all 😬
Try it with biodapt versaknee 2 and two versa foot 2’s
Agreed. Feet on the pegs or shroud? Clarification required.
Where should you be looking entry and mid turn?? I find myself looking at how big the rut is and ending hanging up the front wheel or getting crossed up.
Can you do a how to 360 quad front flip
I'm a newer rider and I was riding on some gravel and my rear end slid out and I saved it with the throttle instead of putting my foot out.
I have a hard time leaning my bike over enough into turns, I can do it and feel comfortable on my little bike but on my yz450 I just can't get it to lean over, any tips?
Tyler, I remember you talking in a Live Q&A something about vlogs, are you guys going through that idea? I would love to see and support that idea.
We would love to start, just working on the logistics of having someone around full time to film.
Hey i have a question. Every time I take a hard turn with the apex of the turn slanted down hill. I wash out my front tire any advice?
Should I be pulling in my clutch whilst coming into the corner, select my gear and then let out coming out of the corner?
Seeing you mention even the top tier riders make mistakes gives me comfort in not only being bad but also making mistakes 🤣 great video as always
I think what separates the pros from the rest, is their ability to recover from a mistake.
I go to cedar lake arena every other Sunday
yeaaa
How do you use breaks or do you just lower the gear?
how do i jump right out the corner the jump is a pretty big tanle top
1:07 thats hurts cause im as stiff as they come. I really need some stretching. These are good drills 👍
Can you make a video on how to get the most out of the “run up”
Or how to get the most amount of speed out of the stretch 😗😗😗
We will add it to our list!
So I race quads and always have rode quads but when I get on a bike when cornering my tire slips out a lot, could it be me being used to a quad and turning too sharp?
I'm just having trouble trusting my bike, leaning that far into a corner. I'm still getting used to the speed of my 250f, so I feel like if I lean so far into the turn I'll fall
is it wrong to get up on the gas tank and drag the rear brake into a rut? i know your videos reccoment going front brake heavy but i also see lots of people drag the rear brake and get in and out of corners just as quick as the ones using front brake
Have you done the YZ125 giveaway yet if not how do I enter I’ve been wanting to upgrade to a 125

Can you guys make a bike set up video
109% yes
OH BABY A TRIPLEEEEE
🤘🏼
I'm a bit confused. Feet on the pegs or inside leg on the shroud? I watched the rider doing both.
Could you show how to execlly turn?.Especially on sand or lose dirt berms I dont know if i should turn sterring bar or just lean and follow berm. I asked different riders ,but everyone has different ansvers. i feel like my front wheel going somewhere in send or stopping me. Leaning more going to fall too .Berms on trails are to tight . Could you pls show us step by step what to do . Good idea is use rider who is learning basic things .You are too fast and too good to see all details. Thank you for future ansver. Tom
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😍
So I've been told that " if you have to take your foot off the peg your doing something wrong " but watching everyone else and what feels more natural to me is weighting the outside peg, leg up on the inside and toes pointing toward the front fender. What should I do?
That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Ya I know you have some new generation trainers saying not to take your feet off the pegs but just go watch a pro national and watch their technique. All use their legs in the corner
I need boots pls hihi
So are you wanting to stay in line with the bike, leaning into the corner, or leaning away from the corner. I’m not sure what to do.
Just be like me and Ronnie Mac and full throttle thru it and cover every one with dirt
I suck going around corners. I'm ok with everything else.
How’s that Honda treating you. Any issues?
Love the Honda!
No issues at all so far.
in spanish plis
First
🤘🏼
I’m not to sure what my problem is but my front tire sometimes pops up out of the rut causing me to just lean the bike over and crash any tips?
VariteZ steady throttle in and out of rut
Ofc cooper Webb did that😂
My bike keeps slipping whenever I take a low turn and I do all of these tips.
Do something with an xr100 the best bike evaaa
Cody has one he loves it!
But u gotta do one try and go up to buds creek in Maryland amazing track
Hi
Hi
Love your videos
Really helpful, but in step 3 you dubbed your foot😂😂😂
Wrong- feet on the pegs
is youre brother johnnie
"riding 4 times a month" Me: *owns land and just rides every day* hm. seems like good practice
#1- Foot up
#2- Feet on pegs
Didn’t explain why or when to do which thing. 🤷🏻♂️
Step one, sell your 450. Step two, buy a 250 2stroke. Step 3 follow this guys instructions. Lol
