Hey everyone! Happy Thursday and I hope you all enjoy this weeks video! The Monkey Island mold is now available on my website (link in the description) These sell out really fast but don’t worry as more are constantly being made daily. Enjoy! 👍🏻
Love it man! Appreciate you taking the time to make a video. I'll be working similar projects in the near future. Love the retro game intermission too!
I was just about to suggest using a tumbler when you brought one out. The coins definitely look better from the tumbler and they would look even better if you used a smaller medium and left the coins in longer. But you wouldn’t want to leave them in too long as the medium could polish away all the fine details, it’s something you might have to experiment with but nice job anyway 👍
not to sure which method of cleaning was better as I like the both methods the tumbled ones came out with a tarnish on them (gives them age) and the ones that were wired brushed looked new. Great video there Adrock Keep up the good work and see you next week mate another great episode of ArtByAdrock. 😁👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😎
Here is a hint for the tumbler. add a splash of vinegar and a dash of citric powder used for canning to the water , Dawn and stainless pins - you think your results are good, wait till you see what the vinegar and citric do. Its the method I use to clean all my brass for reloading and it is impressive
Very nice molds. I was just thinking after you made the coins that you needed a tumbler, and low and behold you break one out. It's a pretty good one, I got the same one a few weeks back, they do make the items look awesome. Great video, stay safe and stay cool.
When using the tumbler, what did you put in there with the coins? Tack nails? Definitely the tumbler for cleaning; it can reach spots more easily than a wire brush can.
You can make things easier and reduce losses to oxidation by melting long, uncut, pieces of copper and feeding them into the puddle. Yeah, its blinding but it also gives you the chance to stir the puddle while you're filling the crucible.
Very nice with the tumbler. Do you think a second round with nut shells would make the coins even more shiny? Also if you want a hammer that would make very short work of the pipes, my loyal 64oz steel face dead blow would love to make art after 22yrs of beating on rusted suspension. Just tell me how to send it.
It's so nice of you to go out in that weather and melt! I've refused to fire mine up and it is only 105 here this week and have been refusing since it hit 90!
The tumbler does a very nice job. Wonder if it needs the full 3 hours though, but I'm sure you will find out or already know. Curious, what is the abrasive in the tumbler?
I'd go with the tumbler. It keeps the details that the wire brush strips away. As for the NES classic, that was Glass Jaw Joe. He couldn't hit the ground after 20 shots of whiskey. STAY SHINY 😁
Was there no slag when you melted this stuff or did you just not record yourself collecting IT? I’m curios as I wanna get into casting my own copper coins but dunno when to add borax a and when not too
Very cool. I've been wanting to get into this hobby. What would be a good set up to start with? and where would one purchase all the items needed / whats the best quality items to buy? Thanks
En dónde venden los moldes para rellenar y hacer las monedas. Y cómo se llama el aparato que gira en donde puso la moneda con jabón. Gracias. Tiene algún Link para poder buscar en alguna página el costo.
Hey adrock how do we put a pre order in for the 8kg ingot moulds says outta stock taking pre order and GM is postage to uk looking to order afew of your moulds will the codpoints mould be avalible soon aswell?? Will
I’m not sure when I’ll have the big ingot molds back in stock but the cod points coin will be available soon as I’m trying to get a bunch in stock before I release them
I got a mold from you awhile ago and just today was able to use it and this is how it turned out well I can't take a picture of it but it turned out good not great on the detail but still I very nice coin
Ive been watching you and bigstack for a while now even bought a devil forge. Im looking to buy some coin moulds...where can i find them? Cheers from the uk
@@ArtByAdrock when i removed my mould(made from wood) the edges seem dry and crumble easily i have added more water but dont want it too wet. Talc for parting agent
Ball mill! A big quality of life upgrade unless you particularly like sanding for some reason :) I wonder how the results would be if you took tumbled pieces to the buffing wheel.
I think BigstackD needs to get a bigger tumbler and polish up all the coins he has so far, they look much better tumbled. Just a tip for the tumbler try getting small stainless steel bearings, that's what they use in casino's to clean up the change and it works great.
Awesome job! Which 3d printer do you use? My daughter is a budding artist and I am looking into maybe purchasing one in the near future. Any guidance would be appreciated!
I saw you catching a spider I just recommend keep it as your pet like bigstackd has Ihhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhjjjhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhjjjjjjjhhh

Terminator
ArtByAdrock just wondering, can you show what happens if you don’t preheat a mold?
Thanks
I take it no correct answers yet? How about “Earth” I have screenshots of all 3 clues and it’s driving me nuts!
@@jacklianos you really don't want that. It's called a possibility of exploding melted copper. Third degree burns, possibly clothing catching fire.
@@jacklianos It actually happened in one of his earlier videos, can't remember which one.
The difference between the two cleaning methods was outstanding, the tumbler is the way to go for your smaller items
I got $5 that says bigstackd is about to buy a tumbler.
Yep, The Wulf56 did this two weeks ago.
I would prefer a tumbler if I were pouring. Just saying. Lol
I’ll see your $5 and raise you by $50 on that Andrew 😁

Definitely like the tumbler ones best. All look amazing, but I love that deeper color the tumbler created!!
They're looking good!! Tumbler seems the way to go !!!
Wow! The tumbler does an excellent job of polishing!
question??? HOw is the easiet way to make a mold to melt copper and make beads...maybe plaster? cement?? thank you
The tumbler, looks like IT gives more shine to it
Love it man! Appreciate you taking the time to make a video. I'll be working similar projects in the near future. Love the retro game intermission too!
The tumbler is definitely the way to go dude. The finish is awesome.

Nice melt! “Mike Tyson’s punch out” definitely brought back memories.
Big fan love your videos 😍😍😍😍
Very cool, my vote is for the Tumbler polished units, more vibrant color. Thanks for sharing.

Can i buy moulds to make 1 oz copper bars and one for coins?
Good video budy
👍
Tumble for sure... only if you are not in a hurry..... and for small pieces..very nice coins.....
Tumbler indeed. Wire brush scratches alot and one applies pressure as well. Tumbler it works 'softer'
Nice way of ck
Cleaning coins!!!
Cool Stuff I think the Tumbler has the better look.

Could I bother you for a link to the tumbler you got? Amazing quality video. Loved it.
Tumbler has more rich color. I like it
I like the looks of the coins better from the tumbler. 👍🏼
Where do you get molds?
How can I get molds made?
Send me an email with what you are looking for.
What a great looking bunch of coins. They turned out beautiful. However, I must say that the tumbler put out one heck of a shine.

No contest bruv that tumblers the bees knees and less elbow grease, win win
Tumbler works better. Also it reduces loss of copper powder.
Was wondering were did you get your molds made that you are saling i need one off mold made and was wondering @ArtByAdrock
How do you make those graphite molds?
Nice control
👍

try wire brush, then tumbler, see what happens???
Thanks for sharing
Lol the tumbler works even better if you use stone and 2 pinches of sand
Very nice😊
Not sure what I ❤️ the most, The classic Nintendo Or the art you make but damn awsome Bro!!!

Sweet!
So as i love the look of the coins how much of a pain in the ass would it be to get and do a double sided coin of the same size molds?
Looks like the tumbler cleaned them up better.
What percentage of pure Cooper contains in Copper Pipe?
Great video inspiring to do it myself

Hey have any Smaugy Gold Smelting videos?
OMG 3:50😍😍
Do you make custom molds yourself or design them and order them?
I design and make them. Although a skewed view 3D designed the COD points coin for me 👍🏻
ArtByAdrock eventually I’d like to design one with my channel logo, any suggestions on where to get it made?
Where do you get the moulds from? I cant seem to find them online.
They are available on my website 👍🏻 link in description
@@ArtByAdrock Do you ship to Australia?
... And if so, do you know how much shipping is? It can be a real killer sometimes.
Yes I do, I ship worldwide
David Walsh it’s 34.50 to ship there so I always recommend getting a few to save on the cost. I’m working on cheaper ways though at the moment
Tumbler. As it looks and less mess

@@ArtByAdrock cheers ill have a look. Also im having trouble with my greensand not holding its edges when removing the molds.any advice?
Is it wet enough/dry enough? Are you using talc? What’s the original piece made of? There’s many factors that can cause problems

How hard should i be ramming the cope? Top side of cast always comes out better that the bottom
Is it worth the time how much money you think you made in those two hours?
Sup bruv are you going to load any of those coins on your site? Every Time I check your stock your always out?
They sell out the instant I put them up. You can still order and they are shipped as they are made.

I personally use a monoprice maker select v2. Not a bad machine. Cost around $300.
