Why is learning about alternative options when your spending 60k on a vehicle a bad thing. Don’t get me wrong I love the video too but I don’t think bringing up comparable vehicles is a bad thing.
Its crappy. Ugly & stupid. I wouldn't pay a gran for it if I had to keep it. It sucks. Get rid of it. I like the GT gas powered v8 better. Electric cars is crap. Dont buy it. Way too exspensive. Should only cost a gran.
That doesn't make sense. The title asks if is it the best so it should be compared. It is totally biased as it is presented as a commercial. It is same 0-60 as Model Y performance but costs $7k more than the Y
Joe, I've never seen you have so much fun on one of these reviews. I have the same car and it's such great family. My 3 year old loves it when we go full throttle on the freeway on-ramps.

Yeah I was about to comment the same! Thankfully the Ioniq 5 is finally starting to come down in price around me so might be able to get one soon. But really do like the Mach E. Would just be the regular one for me tho
Premiums run from 50-60k and they’re amazing! Look into those!!! But for cheaper than that it would be a select one 44k-49 they’re great all around I get nothing but compliments on mine I got premium

I don't mine the color just wondering how it will look in a couple of years.i agree it needs a shade for the glass roof and I don't mind the center screen. I am also concerned with the milage range and the amount of time it takes to charge.
I've had my GT for a week now. I too was concerned about not having a shade for the roof. But even sitting out in the sun after several hours in the 96° heat, it is not any hotter than my Corsair with a sunshade. I don't think I will bother ordering a shade.
Range on full charge depending on model is 250-350 Glass roof DOES NOT need a shade, it’s double glass and it has a special tint on one of the glasses preventing car and leather to get burning hot like cars with moonroofs so it’s honestly a beautiful and amazing feature Super charge is 40min to hour depending if it’s a 100kw or 350kw charging station and obviously how low was your battery… 240V outlet at home will charge your car overnight for 8-9 hours again depending how low it was or you can get a super charge charger installed in your home… light bill will only go up $15-$50 a month from it depending if it’s a 240V or a super charger…. I am answering to your comment because I own a Mach e myself ☺️

I have a 2013 Mustang Cali- the last year they made the coupe with the panoramic sun roof. I love having it. It’s like being in a convertible without the road noise with the top up. But…. It has a retractable integrated giant sun shade! 11:00 am - 2:00 I’ve usually got it pulled. It’s also super helpful to pull it when it is sitting in a parking lot. A electric shade on this car would have made a lot of sense. As a daily driver the MachE makes a lot of sense. Love hearing you laugh on the reviews!
Slowing at around 75mph is the overboost ending. When you first put the pedal down you’ll get 5 secs of overboost. In Unbridled mode there’s an option to extend it a bit but I’m not sure how much time it adds. Doing so will cancel out one Pedal Drive mode though so you’ll have to brake yourself. Dealers are slashing prices @ atm to compete with Ford’s price cuts to compete with Tesla’s price cuts. DO NOT pay MSRP vehicles on dealer lots!
The latest update now allows the volume control to also control climate. Something along the lines of You pick the option via the touchscreen icons then adjust the value via the volume control. I think the icon in the dial also changes.
I don't *hate* it carrying the Mustang badge, but I think Ford missed an opportunity. They could have brought back an older nameplate to join the reintroduction of the Bronco and Maverick names - maybe something like the Galaxie, but restyled as the Galax-E or something like that.

That orange looks nice on the Mach E a good looking SUV especially the video looking clear and pretty shows how nice it looks and Joe looks good standing discussing on what the consumer needs to know before having on their new car shopping list.

These things were literally Found On Road Dead in northern Canada this winter. Turns out you cannot start charging these if you leave it in the cold and it's - 25 out.
I just bought this car yesterday. On the walk-through at the dealer I was advised not to charge the battery to 100% unless I was going on a long trip. They said 80% was a good rule of thumb. They also told me not to charge it daily, but let it go down to around 20%, and then charge it. So I’m thinking to myself, I take 20% off the top and 20% off the bottom and I’m really only left with 60% of the battery as usable. They said this is to extend the life of the battery. That’s all well and good but at a 260 mile range if I subtract 40% of the battery capacity, that leaves me with a range of only 156 miles. I’m not sure what to think of this. Is this good advice by the dealer?
They're telling you those things because every time you charge and discharge, a battery it wears down. Data shows that charging a battery to 100% constantly will shorten the overall life of the battery.
Only $78K for the E-GT...but it's got a nice frunk cooler:) Ok, the 3.5 secs to 60 is fast! Joe laughs! But no Recaros! The front grills are better than most EVs but are still pretty boring. That centre console screen is humongous and very distracting! But I'd use the cash instead and get a super Mustang 350R🤪
So I’m a auto detailer. You do these walk around videos to get to know a car, I clean em. I still haven’t gotten my hands on a new Mach E, but I’m dying too ha! Would love to just spend a day checking it out.
It does seem roomy back there, and I guess it's not the worst interior. The infotainment system and digital cockpit need to be integrated somehow, not tacked on. Not so sure Bill on his channel would be thrilled, especially with the panoramic roof exposing the cabin to the Florida sun. Bill doesn't hide his hatred of the hot weather in Naples. If I were to rent one, I'd include The Cars' "Panorama" album from 1980 with my music, and hope the AC will fight off the radiant heat from above.
I live in Vegas, heat and sun here it’s one of the worst in the entire country and let me tell you, heat did not affect my car at all… it was just like if it had a metal roof it’s truly amazing
I am very happy that Ford made SUV version of Mustang especially for those people who have physical issues or need wheelchair. This is United States where people can achieve their dreams. Person can choose between 2 doors mustang coupe or 4 doors suv mustang. Ford made the right called by making Mustang Mach E including GT version. I hope someday I have both 2 doors mustang coupe and Mustang Mach E GT.
I used to have 2018 Mustang premium package and it had so many issues with electronic parts like memory mirror glitch and lumbar support control breaking after getting it repaired again and again. Does ford always have these issue? I want the mach e mustang but I wonder if it has a lot of these issues
That rear windshield wiper on the Mach-E and the Ariya... unfortunate. Surely there is a more aerodynamic (and cooler) option than just sticking it on the back?
I love the color on this Mach E Joe. It would be nice if they added maybe a digital rearview mirror. I like the screen size, not the I integration though. I wonder if u can get it jn other colors.......
The seats to are the most comfortable I have found, and that is what counts on a road trip! Good that Ford and Chevy have gone for the N. American standard Tesla charging which increases charge stations dramatically!
The Mustang Mach E is a beautiful crossover. Love the body lines and that color really makes those lines pops. Regarding the throttle. Ford sets the throttle to reduce to around 70% after approximately 10 seconds. This is to help increase battery life plus Ford gives you this limited acceleration because most drivers use the full throttle for limited times like passing another vehicle or merging on a highway. Ford's goal is to keep resell values of pre-owned Mach E high by keeping the battery life last longer. Many EV vehicles don't take this into consideration. The Mach E GT is a fun performance car, but I'm guessing in future models. This acceleration controller will be changed or even removed by performance companies like Shelby. This Mach E GT isn't a Porsche and Ford didn't build it or price it like one. It's build as a performance family BEV that can safely handle family outings while providing some spirited driving. If you want to see what a full performance version of the Mach E GT can do in quarter mile passes. Take a look at the Mach E 1400 or Cobra Jet EV driven by Bob Tasca (Tasca Ford). Great review Joe.
After feeling what 0-60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds feels like yesterday as of this writing of this comment, I'm over it. I need to get this SUV now, it's that good.
Yes, it is really good. Traded a '23 C8 Corvette for my GT, acceleration is about equal, brakes might actually be slightly better. No 5000lb car will ever handle like a 3400lb C8, but it is shocking how well it handles. Plus able to take grand-girls, or dogs, or a big box, or my bike, is so great. The best though? Not paying 70 bucks for gas every 10 days...love it!
Listen to Joe cackle at 19:24 Tell me he wouldn't make a good Joker in the next Batman. He could steal the Batmobile and try and run Batman over yelling "On Throttle"!
It's pretty cool. One thing I wonder is this - when someone wants to sell in say 5 or 6 years to get something new (like a lot of people do with cars), who is going to want to buy a well used electric vehicle whose battery is on the back side of its useful life (and, quite frankly, whose life with the ability to charge well and hold a regular, full charge is unknown)? Not me.
I like it. It's definitely different, and you don't see 'many' on the road except in Michigan where Ford is based. (Moved from Michigan to Texas... you rarely see Mach-E's). However... it is so hard to beat Tesla's infrastructure.... and the recent price drop on the Tesla.... Model Y Performance (with enhanced autopilot +$6k), and with Red Paint - $66,630 total MSRP (No markup) 303 miles range Ford Mach-E GT Performance - $77,990 total MSRP. 260 miles range The Ford is pretty nice though, I'll give it a shot.

I just purchased a red GT Performance after they lowered the price and offered 0% financing....the range is a bit lacking as they recommend charging it to 90% = 230 miles, btw....Tesla is 80% = 280 miles. My wife has a Y Dual Motor and it is faster in the 1/4 mile cause it's lighter and passes the GT every time as it doesn't get weaker... after 60mph. However, the Ford feels more car like than a Tesla with a few more hand held controls, Volumn knob, 2 stalks on the steering wheel, better seats and nicer looks inside & out, IMHO.
I don't see that color cyber orange online for a 2023 Mustang Mach e GT. It's a shame because I would love to buy a new one in that color. I like everything about this car, but I think Ford should try to make it lighter with longer range like Tesla vehicles.
Calling this ugly thing a Mustang is terrible. It's a SUV. The pony, the name and the lights doesn't make it a Mustang. A real Mustang has a unique soul.

Are you kidding $78k? It should be half price of model Y. You ignored the range. So I am assuming the range is 150 miles while the model Y is 350 miles
As a tesla model y performance driver, the torque on the y performance lasts longer and for the money as you said, does not come close to the new model y performance price of 56990. That is 22000 less than the GT. The quarter mile time is slower on the GT compared to the Model Y Performance. The charging time is slower as well. Don't get me wrong, the GT is a beautiful car, but if you are looking for performance, can't compare to the Y Performance, especially with the new pricing and the new track mode on the Y Performance.
@@ajpeo3542 True, but look at the cost difference between the GT and the performance, the range of the 2 cars, the charging speed between the two cars, the charging network, and that's why the Tesla model Y is killing in sales worldwide. You can't even come close with the charging network, so unless all you do is drive no more than 100 miles from your home and back, it's definitely something to consider.

I believe the range of it is between 200 and 330 miles. The range can also be impacted by weather conditions and your driving speed as well.

The GT is very nice but 78k? Much more expensive than a tesla with less range and slower 0-60 time. Not sure, kind of a tough sell

This is to help increase battery life plus Ford gives you this limited acceleration because most drivers use the full throttle for limited times like passing another vehicle or merging on a highway. Ford's goal is to keep resell values of pre-owned Mach E high by keeping the battery life last longer. Many EV vehicles don't take this into consideration. The Mach E GT is a fun performance car, but I'm guessing in future models. This acceleration controller will be changed or even removed by performance companies like Shelby. This Mach E GT isn't a Porsche and Ford didn't build it or price it like one. It's build as a performance family BEV that can safely handle family outings while providing some spirited driving. If you want to see what a full performance version of the Mach E GT can do in quarter mile passes. Take a look at the Mach E 1400 or Cobra Jet EV driven by Bob Tasca (Tasca Ford). Great review Joe.

After feeling what 0-60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds feels like yesterday as of this writing of this comment, I'm over it. I need to get this SUV now, it's that good.
Yes, it is really good. Traded a '23 C8 Corvette for my GT, acceleration is about equal, brakes might actually be slightly better. No 5000lb car will ever handle like a 3400lb C8, but it is shocking how well it handles. Plus able to take grand-girls, or dogs, or a big box, or my bike, is so great. The best though? Not paying 70 bucks for gas every 10 days...love it!
You mentioned…There are ventilated Seats? I ordered a GT but they told there is no Option for ventilated Seats….
You can readily find a ‘21 Mach-E GT sub-$30k with 30k or less miles at the time of this writing. That’s a great value

Does tire shine really make a car handle badly? If so I didn’t know that. What can you use to make them look nice but not ruin the handling…?
It's pretty cool. One thing I wonder is this - when someone wants to sell in say 5 or 6 years to get something new (like a lot of people do with cars), who is going to want to buy a well used electric vehicle whose battery is on the back side of its useful life (and, quite frankly, whose life with the ability to charge well and hold a regular, full charge is unknown)? Not me.
I like it. It's definitely different, and you don't see 'many' on the road except in Michigan where Ford is based. (Moved from Michigan to Texas... you rarely see Mach-E's). However... it is so hard to beat Tesla's infrastructure.... and the recent price drop on the Tesla....

Ford Mach-E GT Performance - $77,990 total MSRP. 260 miles range

Mach, Mustang, GT. All names that shouldn't be associated with this vehicle. Looks much better now and I'm very impressed with these vehicles.

it not having a sunshade is also bad for road noise bleed as well. the Volvo xc90's from the 2019 have a moon roof and it lets in so much road noise

I just purchased a red GT Performance after they lowered the price and offered 0% financing....the range is a bit lacking as they recommend charging it to 90% = 230 miles, btw....Tesla is 80% = 280 miles. My wife has a Y Dual Motor and it is faster in the 1/4 mile cause it's lighter and passes the GT every time as it doesn't get weaker... after 60mph. However, the Ford feels more car like than a Tesla with a few more hand held controls, Volumn knob, 2 stalks on the steering wheel, better seats and nicer looks inside & out, IMHO.
I don't see that color cyber orange online for a 2023 Mustang Mach e GT. It's a shame because I would love to buy a new one in that color. I like everything about this car, but I think Ford should try to make it lighter with longer range like Tesla vehicles.

As a tesla model y performance driver, the torque on the y performance lasts longer and for the money as you said, does not come close to the new model y performance price of 56990. That is 22000 less than the GT. The quarter mile time is slower on the GT compared to the Model Y Performance. The charging time is slower as well. Don't get me wrong, the GT is a beautiful car, but if you are looking for performance, can't compare to the Y Performance, especially with the new pricing and the new track mode on the Y Performance.
But for the 90% of us that don't race cars looks are what counts. The Mach E looks a million times better than the model Y there's no denying that.
@@ajpeo3542 True, but look at the cost difference between the GT and the performance, the range of the 2 cars, the charging speed between the two cars, the charging network, and that's why the Tesla model Y is killing in sales worldwide. You can't even come close with the charging network, so unless all you do is drive no more than 100 miles from your home and back, it's definitely something to consider.
