That bodice fabric is lovely, it's the type of thing that makes me want to just sit and tilt it under a light to watch the color play. Add the bedazzling and the whole outfit is pretty magical.
Now I have finished the video and your dress just looks amazing! I am especially thrilled how you put all the rhinestones by hand - true dedication to the project! And the fabric is just so so beautiful! I have met several Cosplayers who did the original white version, but now I am kind of tempted to explore the possibilities of other colour schemes...
thank you for thos video! the dress turned out amazing. I used this exact bodice pattern for a project a few years ago. and the Bertha was like trying to solve a puzzle I had to have a visual of how to do it so this video will be helpful when I re-attempt the project with that pattern.
I enjoy all your vids so much!! I appreciate historical garments, but I don't have space or $$ for them, so it's really fun to see other people make them, and you always have an interesting design twist on every outfit you make!! 😊❤
Heated blankets will be your best friend when going out in the chilly air for fashion! 😂😂 That fabric does look deliciously sheer and shiny! now go have some hot chocolate :)
Can't wait to finish the video (and will leave another comment once I do), BUT the painting at 00:53 does in fact not show Sisi, but a Russian noblewoman. The painter Franz Xaver Winterhalter just did some of Sisi's most famous portraits too :)
@@ladyanniebelle It's not a major fail. A lot of internet sources (especially non-German ones) make that mistake. I am just fortunate enough to have stumbled upon a German book that actually adressed this :)
That dress is. So. PRETTY! The whole look together is just fabulous, I'd be trying to wear any part of this any time possible. Grocery shopping could be more fun if it was more sparkly ✨
It turned out beautifully, and I think your hair looked great. Can I make a suggestion? When you're wearing hoops more (and longer) petticoats over them will make it so you don't see the impression of the hoops under the skirt. And there's nothing wrong with a poofier skirt, either.
You really made the dress your own! Fun fact: Worth, who had designed the dress in the Winterhalter painting, used to make identical dresses but in different colours. Princess Pauline von Metternich had the exact same dress as Empress Elisabeth but in black. So, what you did was really very historically accurate :):)
You are gorgeous!!! I remember watching an episode about her life on the forgotten lives channel of RUclips, If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. I love your channel, keep up the amazing work.
Congrats on 10k! The dress looks AMAZING and you did such a great job! My very first phone (a nokia brick) had the same green and purple iridescence and I loved it so much. Everyone else could change out their phone shells to different colours and I was like "look at this thing, why would I ever want to change it?!" 😅
@@ladyanniebelle My goodness, I think this was an incredible find. This dress is breathtaking, honestly. I love how the hotfix gems make it just... -that much extra-. Phenomenal work.

Oh I definitely did a lot of that!😆
29:42 I was shrimping, pinning a project together. Thank you for the reminder 😂
You’re welcome😁
The second you started talking about hair I was thinking of that same exact video! 😂
The dress looks gorgeous! I absolutely love how you pull inspiration from a bunch of different sources to create your own design!!!
The dress is pure perfection, a dream come true for sure. And the fabric is sublime 🖤💚💜
Congratulations for the 10k 🎉
The rhinestoning!! It came out amazing!

I love the advice to ladder stitch the darts! I have never thought of that, and will 100% be stealing that trick!
I'm seeing stars, Annie! ❤✨✨✨
That fabric is magical! Beautiful job, as always.
The purple and green iridescence makes me think of octarine (the colour of magic) from the Discworld books
I've not read those but the fabric was pretty magical
Congrats on 10k!!! Love this dress!
Congratulations on 10k! 💃 🎉🎉

It is so beautiful! 🌟 The dress, the fabric, and the final styling!
Love your designs and you are so hilariously entertaining!❤
Congratulations on 10K! The dress came out beautifully.
The dress came out beautiful. I tell my son all the mistakes I make while sewing. Like he going to point it out I public. 😂😂😂
It's hard not to point them out when they feel so obvious to you, even though no one else can see them😆
Congrats, what a perfect project, and with such a beautiufl outcome!
Love the hair accessories and all the beading! V. cool!
i love ur attention to detail. cannae wait for ur next project
Wow! Now you need a place to wear this. It's gorgeous!

Oh no you're right! Some lady named Madame Rimsky-Korsakov. Wow major research fail on my part🙇♀️

I would have worry about people standing to close😆 Although driving would be a challenge🤔
Love how this looks! RUclips suggested this video to me, def subscribed and can't wait to watch more of your videos :)
Yay! Happy you found me😁

It looks like such a simple technique adding the rhinestones, but it took forever. However, the final product is beautiful! ❤
So simple. So time consuming 😅

Oh wow, I didn't even know it was a Worth design. That is a fun fact, thank you😁
Suvh a gorgeous dress! I now want a huge swishy skirt out of that amazing fabric
I originally got it to make a wrap skirt with! I still want to if I can get my hands on a little more

I haven't seen it but I'll check it out. I was watch The Empress on Netflix while I made this dress though
Thank you🥰
@@ladyanniebelle Absolutely!!! I love when people bring historical clothing to life.

I had one of those too! Not the purple and green one, I would have been so jelly of yours😆
Thank you🥰
I have 6 yards of that same fabric! Still don't know what I'm doing with it, but it is gorgeous.
I originally bought it to make a really flowy wrap skirt with a ruffled bottom. I still want to but I don't have enough fabric now😩
❣ beautiful
Secret chicken pants!
It's a small detail but I love how the leather stars came out
Hey I started to make a chemise a la reine with that fabric!☺️💚💜
Oh I bet that fabric would make a really nice chemise a la reine!
i want this purple/green farbic so bad. where can i buy this?
JoAnns. It was part of the halloween collection so it might be hard to find now. Better check quick though before they all close
@@ladyanniebelle oh thank you for the fast answer. sadly i dont think JoAnn ships to germany. but maybe i can find something similar online
32:55 Return of the chicken britches!
It's silly how much I love these chicken pants😆
@ I don't blame you! I would also wear them at every opportunity!
Oh my god, I need this fabric in my life O.O What even is that?
It's from JoAnns halloween collection. Run don't walk before they all close
