Way to go, my friend! 👍🏼It looks stunning!🤩 I look forward to you making the cape and covering the hat next year(?) sometime!! Your future you says: “Don’t forget to store everything you’ll need together and label it, so you won’t lose it and/ or waste time looking for it!” Your future self will thank you for it! 😁 🖤🧡🩶🤎🖤🧡🩶🤎
Thank you so much! 🖤 I might have a chance to get some photos in a poppy field this summer so I may get the upgrades done for that (emphasis on might and may 😂). I don’t even know where I’m keeping it yet, I don’t have much space for these things 😬
First, this is amazing! And I applaud the absolute gumption of taking on a project like this so early in your sewing journey! Second, I'm not sure what you used for the skin paint, but I know I have a ton of issues with....all the types of skin paint really. It cracks, peels, rubs off on everything and is patchy. I tried using Sunset Makeup's colored foundations for a Sapphire (from Steven Universe) cosplay and the difference was astronomical! It stuck, it was waterproof, didn't smudge or crack, and lasted all day long! I had to mix some of their colors together to get the perfect shade of blue, but I recommend their product for any kind of colored skin looks.
I don't know if you've been told this already, but I would strongly STRONGLY advise against manually pulling fabric through your machine, especially if you're pulling it quickly like you mentioned in the video! This is really bad for a sewing machine's internal mechanisms and can cause a lot of different issues. On one end it can break needles, and on the other it can misalign parts which can basically total a machine if the wrong bits get out of place. I've seen a machine needle get misaligned and strike the race instead of going into the bobbin and trust me, you don't want to see that in person. It's terrifying.
what an absolute fantastic make :D :D :D im in awe!! i dont trust my machine with metallic thread in the bobbin, so i always use regular thread in a matching color for that. an put that spool net thingy over the actual spool of thread cause dang that metal does not wanna do what i want it to lol for make up, i ended up with mehron cream blend sticks after some trial and error. i havent managed to sweat it off yet, not sure about how "touch safe" it is tho as i dont like putting much make up on my hands. i use gloves, sometimes with cut off finger tips for phone use and you can always cover that with glued on nails. hope that helps!
Thank you so much! 🖤 I didn’t even consider regular thread in the bobbin as an option, that would have been so much easier 😅 Thanks for the makeup recommendation, I’ll check them out! I have thought about the gloves, I was worried I wouldn’t find the right shade of green and I’d end up with 10 pairs looking 😂
Wow, the reveal had my jaw drop and to think that you’ve only been doing this for about a year and a half you really do have an outstanding talent. I loved it thank you for putting it up and well done to you.❤❤❤
I was looking forward to watching this video for AGES You accomplished such a huge feat with this! I was so excited when all your fabrics came out of the dye bath and the final hues fit so well! Also absolutely obsessed with the photos and footage by Dan at the end! You look stunning!
amazing video! i can't even begin to imagine the ammount of work this took and the results are to die for! quick tip for the sewing machine, when you use "special" thread like the silver one for the spiderwebs, only put it in the top part of the machine, not the bottom just like you would with elastic thread. This makes it way easier for your machine to deal with, just adjust the tension a pick a thread that's close in color just in case :)
Looks fabulous❤. When I quilt using metallic thread I put the spool of thread a distance away from the machine (on the floor or the back of the table)to give it a chance to unravel before it runs through the tension discs. I also use normal polyester thread in the bobbin.
Oooh Yay! I love ladyanabelle i think i found her found her after watching one of your videos as well 😊 looking forward to that collaboration ❤ I actually voted for the tiara but this dress is phenomenal ! I didn't realise how detailed it was I'm in love 💞 xxx you did an amazing job Xxx
I love her videos so much, she comes out with the best projects! ☺️ The tiara probably would have been published on time (3 months ago) but I am so glad I have this dress now, I love it so much 🥰 Thank you 🖤
Omg you are so talented. That looks absolutely amazing,I love the skirt you did a fantastic job with the ruffles. I'd wear that skirt everyday 😂❤ loved the video...thank you for all your time and effort.
Thank you, it’s definitely my favourite make 🖤 & I haven’t seen it yet 😬 There’s no cinema where I live and I didn’t get the chance to travel to one, I’m probably going to buy it to watch at home now 😅
@MadameMyriad thankfully it's already on streaming, so it should be available fairly easily. And I'd love to see you make one of Elphaba's dresses from the movie!
Not me squealing like a child at the end of the video because you said my name🤣 Holy cow this is absolutely amazing! Excuse me, I need to go pick my chin up off the floor now
The madeyewlook makeup brand was made my someone who does elaborate body painting and is fairly good if you want a body paint that stays on. Also I've been watching your videos for a few months and I'm not a very good commenter but I like them a lot!
If you need any cosplay paint recommendations for the skin tone, sunset makeup has a green foundation and colored setting powder that's been holding on pretty well from what i've seen. However the results differ for people so you should probably do a bit of research on that just in case
Looks amazing!!! About the paint, have you tried alcohol activated body paint? I use it to cover my tattoos when I go to conventions and (besides areas where I rub a lot like my hands) it lasts all day and does not transfer at all nor fades with my sweat at all also it is very easily removed with makeup wipes or oil based makeup remover!
This looks INCREDIBLE! From just looking at it I'd have no idea where you'd even be doing any upgrading, it's so good. As for the makeup, madeyewlook is probably the place I'd go for recommendations since she is the queen in that area.
This is amazing! ❤️
Sunset makeup does coloured foundations and setting powders that are perfect for unusual skin colours.
Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll check them out 🖤
This was epic, your energy is unmatched at this point.
Why does that feel like the highest compliment I’ve ever received? 😄 Thank you so much 🖤🖤

Thank you so much 🥰 I literally just used the absolute cheapest children’s face paint 😅 Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll check them out 🖤
What an epic project! It came out stunning.
Thank you so much!🖤🖤
Such a huge undertaking. And very ingeniously crafted. Your reveals are also always very artistic. Nice work all around!

Turned out fantastic! Well done, all that effort paid off! 💚

It looks amazing! I hope to see more outfits inspired by Broadway musicals
Thank you! 🖤 & Don’t say that, you’ll give me ideas 👀

Thank you so much! 🖤 I’ve been thinking about making a smaller version of the skirt with the leftover ruffles so I can wear it everyday 😂
I love how gorgeous this dress is! How did you like the movie?
Thank you, it’s definitely my favourite make 🖤
& I haven’t seen it yet 😬 There’s no cinema where I live and I didn’t get the chance to travel to one, I’m probably going to buy it to watch at home now 😅

Thank youuuuu 😋
I've been so excited!!! Congrats on finally getting it done.

It’s fantastic 💚🖤 well done xxx
Thank you ☺️🖤
Beautiful! Wow!!
Thank you! 🖤
This looks amazing! I know there’s a way cosplayers seal face paint or color in but I don’t remember how
Thank you 🖤🖤 I feel like I’ve vaguely heard of the existence of setting sprays or powders or something but I have no idea either 😂
I can’t believe it wasn’t the crown.
I was surprised too to be honest 😅 I think people prefer the historical ones over fictional ones
Amazing!!!
Thank you 🥰🖤
it looks so gooood!!!!
Sweet!! Great dress! Alcohol activated paint for the green.
Thank you 🖤 (and thanks for the paint tip ☺️)
Not me squealing like a child at the end of the video because you said my name🤣
Holy cow this is absolutely amazing! Excuse me, I need to go pick my chin up off the floor now
Aww, thank youuuu 🖤🖤 Still remember when you mentioned me in that house video, I felt so famous 😂
Absolutely stunning!
Thank you so much!🖤
Yay
Cool 😀🧙♀️
My wife yelled, "you're not annoying, you are cute."
Aww, she’s sweet 😄🖤

The content creator Madeyewlook does a lot of body paint cosplays in every color of the rainbow. I would seriously recommend her body paints
You hope we enjoyed it? Yes, we did! 🤩😃👌🏻
As always it was such a cool project, exciting to watch!! 💚
Thank you, I’m so glad 🥰🖤
Clever girl. 😊

Towards this, Mehron is a great brand.
Thank you! 🖤 I haven’t, I actually have been thinking about something I can use to cover my tattoos for conventions too so that sounds really good!
Thank you, I’ll check it out 🖤
The note is F

Thank you 🥰 I do really love it but I can’t help but think like that with everything I make 😅
& Thanks for the tip, I’ll check them out! 🖤
A quilting ruler and rotary cutter would have made light work of cutting strips
I did think about using my rotary cutter but my cutting mat isn’t very big and it didn’t feel worth the hassle 😅
This is a ridicolous patchwork not Elphaba dress 😂😂😂
When are you going to learn how to do a reveal. It is always too dark. And you never show the full length of the costume.
Wow!
Thank you 🖤
