- The last time we got a project from The Weeknd was 2016. Although 'Starboy' won Abel a grammy, it was met with mixed reviews as some fans believed he shifted to more of a 'pop' sound. However, many are saying this new EP features Abel returning to the dark, edgy sound we know him for. We're excited for this.

Basically, he meant by the line "two red pills to take the blues away" that, he only has to take two shots of truth to take the melancholy or sadness away, which is blues basically. Blues means sadness. And red pills stands for truth that is hard to accept. There is another meaning of it, which can mean he gonna do drugs (pills) to forget the pain or sadness for a while.
