If African nations were experiencing the same immigration policies as us, do you think they'd be restrained in expressing their grievances? The difference is our children are raised on a guilt complex of racial identity for past ancestral deeds ! Its a very sick and unhealthy way to raise a generation into a society. The laws in Australia are fucked, in QLD most of all. in 2016, my brother was walking home from his 24th birthday and was hit and killed by a drink/drug driver, Troy Anthony Salam, who already had a deplorable driving record of more than two decades of offences. He'd already hit and nearly killed someone else in the past. He went on the run for a year until he was finally found and charged. His sentence? Some months without a license - which really meant nothing because he was already driving unlicensed. Not one day spent behind bars. Not one fine paid. Yet my family have had to suffer day in and day out for almost 7 years now. I've got severe depression and PTSD now and have had to seek professional help which I cannot afford. His barristers are all free of charge because he is aboriginal. Even after killing my brother, Salam continued to drive under the influence of ice, committing crimes such as running red lights just as the scum in this video were doing. He's still a free man to this day. The judges aren't affected so they don't give a flying fuck. The police are either too busy or too lazy to do their jobs properly. Australia is an unjust country and it's only getting worse.

      That doesn't really make any difference when you consider how many idiot bogans do utterly stupid things on the road who were "taught" to drive here. Having driven in lots of places around the world I can tell you Australians are TERRIBLE drivers. It's far too easy to get your licence here, and there is zero compulsory advanced training (which teaches you good car control and consequences of actions on the road) like in many other countries. In Europe there are five times as many cars on the road in an area one quarter the size of Australia, with roads that mostly weren't designed for cars, and yet there are only half as many accidents per capita. Why is that? Because they are taught to be better drivers. If our cities here had to endure the utter chaos like Paris, Madrid, and Rome there'd be fifteen accidents every minute. Aussie drivers are hopeless, I've never encountered roads where people are less aware of their surroundings than they are in Australia. Even the totally reckless Russians are better.
      I'm actually fine with licences being granted based on international credentials, in most cases they are far better drivers than we are. We'd do well to learn from them.

That poor family have to live without their loved one for the rest of their lives and these jokers will be out in 3 years. That time will fly by for them.

It's not like someone thinks, oh I'll only do 3 or 4 years if I accidentally kill someone, so let's fang it. From what I see the education, exposure, experience required to attain a license is really lacking, and the general complacent culture in Australia is the bigger factor, poor education, etc.

    What I dont get is, and people may view this harshly, but if someone goes into a crowded area with a weapon like a gun and risks people’s lives by shooting indiscriminately, the police would take them out. But when someone uses a vehicle in the same manner… well. Nothing happens and an innocent lost their life

    • @woopimagpie
      @woopimagpie Год назад

      There's a flaw in that argument - guns are designed to kill people, and firing into a crowd shows intent to kill. Cars are not primarily designed as killing weapons, and death by vehicle accident is very rarely intentional. Big difference. I'm not saying these lads should be let off lightly, but at no point did they intend to kill that girl. They were careless and negligent and caused an accident which resulted in a death, but it was not their intent to do that.
      The law views these things very differently, with good reason. Would you want a vicious contract killer who shot someone in cold blood to be treated the same as someone who just got careless and made a mistake? No. I didn't think so.
