  • LIVE COVERAGE: Johnny Depp v Amber Heard Defamation Trial
Actor Johnny Depp is suing ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million for defamation in connection with Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed, in which she spoke out about being the victim of domestic violence. Heard’s article did not specifically name Depp as her alleged abuser, but according to Depp’s lawsuit, it relied “on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her.” Amber Heard is counter-suing Depp for $100 million.
The defamation trial began Monday in Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia, with jury selection completing on the same day. There is a possibility of celebrity witnesses testifying, including James Franco and Elon Musk. Tune in to the Law&Crime Network for daily coverage of this high-profile trial.

100%!!! Her favorite wine was $500 a bottle. Ben King said he had to find enough room to store several cases of it when they were in Australia... her birthday dinner included 5 bottles of that wine and 3 bottles of champagne... just a drop in the large drain of his money. Between the money, the mental and emotional terrorism, as well as working less and less... he never had a chance. Poor man. She wanted to wear the pants, be in control, never be in the wrong... when he tried to let her, that wasn't good enough. She wanted the fighting and tension. It almost feels like it was her intention from the beginning to take home to the cleaners... especially when he has had the reputation of the best, most talented and most popular actor in the world...

If youll notice after he doesn't answer the first question in the new subject the next question is worded as if it had been answered in AHs favor. Its a dirty trick to get the jury to think that was the answer. Clear manipulative maneuver

They are paid witnesses. When you think about it, Amber really has no friends or anyone to testify for her (not surprised), hence she resorts to paying outsiders $500-$600 per hour or her sister to lie on video. And they are being paid to testify on video alone (with little risk of being cross-examined by Depp's attorneys). Who wouldn't want such cash?

Did anyone else notice how in the beginning of the entire trial Amber’s lawyers were trying to prove that eventhough Pirates of the Caribbean was a franchise with the same main actor (Johnny) it didn’t mean that he was going to be in the next movies, at this moment the sixth movie, because there was no document or contract that said so? BUT in this one (May 19) they were trying to prove with Amber’s talent agent that she WAS effectively going to be in Aquaman 2 because it was a successful movie (as the talent agent said) and as Amber was in the first one, she should be in the second one, YET they tried to prove otherwise with Johnny and Pirates of the Caribbean!!🙄😐
And also the attorney asked Amber’s talent agent how Waldman’s tweets affects Amber’s career and opportunities, YET they keep wanting to prove that the op-ed and everything Amber did DOES NOT affect Johnny’s career and opportunities in no sense!!
    Everyday they keep contradict themselves!!

The hypocrisy of these lawyers. I think they are hoping that Johnny's lawyers and the jury are not paying close attention. What's good for the gander, is definitely good for the goose. This is what I call a double tongue. Johnny is an elite actor. I didn't even know who that evil woman is, until this trial and I saw Aquaman. So, if they expect this unknown actress to be in Aquaman 2, of course, we're expecting Johnny to be in all of Pirates of the Caribbean sequels. This is why I think she is kidding because you are definitely paying attention.

But, even more so, let’s do some comparison to the negative information and attention around the negative impact on Johnny she made. This simply proves he has the public support because the public can see who is guilty. Overall we have already figured out that Amber Heard is toxic. No hashtags necessary!

Last 3 days of AH’s circus depositions were a complete waste of time. What we learned about JD from this trial so far…
JD was overly generous and had a problem setting healthy boundaries.
JD’s emotional & addiction problems became worse during his years spent with AH.
JD didn’t get physically violent when he was drinking or using.
JD was surrounded by a bunch of emotionally twisted, free loading, “wannabe” Hollywood caricatures!
If JD had financial problems (while making $25M per movies), he 100% didn’t have good business/management representation.
Johnny Depp has won in the court of public opinion!

Oh yeah, Ambien! 20 years ago I went every day to an air-rage case, a member of my favourite band. He suffered insomnia, and a friend of the musician gave him some of his Ambien and told him he takes them with glass of something adult, sleeps through the flight and arrives at the destination refreshed.
Only that didn't quite happen, he couldn't sleep, and the alcohol trolley did the rounds every 15 minutes... of an 8 hour flight!!!
I was accidentally used in the case, I was 21 but looked about 14, and when the defence started, he said about him being internationally famous, with "very young fans", and for a brief moment, pretty much everyone in the courtroom, most of the legal teams, media, I think the Judge, and all 12 pairs of Jurors' eyes, all landed on me 😆

An important point here is that Dr. Callum testified that AH has Borderline Personality Disorder. One of the symptoms of BPD is self harm. Nobody has brought the fact that the injuries that AH showed her friends could have been self inflicted since they never witnessed JD hitting her on those occasions. His life appears to have changed when Heard entered his life, from what I have observed from watching the case is she got worse towards him when he would start to improve, classic gaslighting and signs of an abuser. What type of person who claims they are working so hard to help someone to achieve sobriety goes and engages in drugs and alcohol and even hints grab a joint, I'm in if your in - very subtle Heard. All her witness friends come across as rehearsed and rehearse, especially to the point of using exact wording like sober, monster and magic - and they now have to stuck to their story due to what they had testified in the UK case - so staged Heard, and how odd that they have all part ways, even the make up artist. I wonder if that's because Heards scam backfired and they all bailed on her, but they weren't expecting Mr Depp to finally take a stand and do it live. The thing that upsets me is how Heard had been using his kids and past to torment him such as 21 jump St, Kate Moss and I also believe science from his movie "Secret Window" Heard did the writing on the mirrors in Australia. The only thing she worked hard on was studying about him. She is criminal!!!!

I agree with you that he has a huge drug problem and needs help. However, it has nothing to do with this case. Plus, JD has been completely up front about his drug addiction. He does not deny it. Third, JD has been honest and caught in no lies. Amber Heard, on the other hand, has been caught in so many lies. None of her stories have any proof to them. Not only is there no proof, her stories change and contradictory. Fourth, Amber Heard ruined JD life by the lies she has told. She is a classic narcissist and definitely has BPD.

And the Rewording and rewording and redundancy this line of questioning done by Amber’s side
looked just looked sloppy and pointless. Perhaps their tactic was to provide their questions to the jury, knowing they would receive an answer that would be covered under privilege, yet even so, she could have done so without having to repeat the same type of question eight different ways, it didn’t seem efficient in any way. Johnny Depp being jealous or addicted to drugs or using drugs or being depressed or admitting to eternal conflicts, or throwing things when upset or drubk, still does not mean he is an abuser. Once again no-one has ever stated that he was abusive ever in any other relationship and no-one has ever seen him being absuive ( except the lie from her sister when she said he pushed her), and never has JD been caught on tape admitting to being abusive in any way so>>> when it all comes down to it the fact is Amber Heard admitted multiple times via confession tape to punching throwing things at JD and hitting him. That is what matters not all the other nonsense of drugs and depression and finances.

When people are in a relationship with someone with narcissistic tendencies they start to be less able to cope with lifes demannds. I have been in this kind of abusive and manipulative relationship and its crazy - making, I could no longer sleep properly, make it to appointments and committments on time, often I had to cancel. I started drinking more to cope with the constant confusion and stress. The problem with these relationships is that its very hard to pinpoint specifically what is wrong because the manipulation is so covert and the perpetrator usually BELIEVES that they are the victim and you want to believe in their goodness. All YOU know is that since this person came into your life you are all over the place, stressed and bewildered. It seems to me that Jhonny's life became unmanageable shortly after Amber became his partener, this correlates perfectly with an emotionally and mentally abusive relationship. It's also obvious that Johnny was surrounded by various hollywood sharks and vipers who wanted something from him and have no real concern for his wellbeing. 💜 Justice for Johnny 💜 And don't worry Johnny - you have already won in our eyes, we can see whats going on 💜

Obviously when there is recording audio evidence that she is an abuser, more people are going to be coming out against her and taking Johnny's side. That's not defamation. That's consequences of being a crap person.

yea but those audio recordings of her "incriminating herself" are from late in their marriage. They were leaked very early on for a reason. It seems to me like they were leaked early to purposely mess with the timeline in everyone's head. There's been very little-to-no online discussions about Johnny's 2013 texts to Paul Bettany where Johnny says "let's burn amber" "let's drown her before we burn her". This was well before they were married, even before they were engaged.

Also, she was super upset by the negative press around the divorce and the DV TRO... She made the choice to file both of those, knowing he wouldn't have been able to respond, especially since he wasn't notified... AND... he had told her most a few days prior (when his mom passed away) that he wanted to file, and would when he could. She said she didn't want anything and promised "pledged" the $7 million to 2 charities... but still hasn't followed through with said pledges. When she was being questioned by Johnny's counsel, she stated he made her "feel like a million bucks"... more like 7... this whole situation is a just effed up. They both said terrible things to each other. She admitted to physical violence. There never was provable evidence that he even laid a finger on her... this has been so sad to watch. He's made it a mission to keep his persona life private, in order to protect himself and his family. Now every single detail of his life has been plastered all over the world.
