I'm only going to say this once. Okay once on each of these sites(Matt's Off Road Recovery, Fab Rats, Robby Layton Nation, Bleepinjeep, Chads Fab, Bikes and Beards, & Mischief TV). I have watched over the last 6 months something that is truly hard to put into words and believe me I like to talk. Love the video. My dad got me one just like that when I was six or seven. It was awesome, I would run it up and down the cliffs of coal city hollow in north east Alabama on the Tennessee state line. Watching you guys work on that really makes the memories flood back. Y'all take care and God bless.
You learned a valuable lesson that I always try to tell my customers. New does not always mean good. There’s been many times where I get a brand new part that’s bad out of the box
You has seen and now own a Rokon. They are the best thing ever. They go places a Jeep can not. They are a Goat on tires. They can go anywhere you want. Power to to max with them. Like Ed even said. Just a thought, would it be worth putting an electric starter on it for Ed instead of the pull start, incase he’s not strong enough to kick or pull start it. I’m super excited for all these projects coming together for Ed.
I don't recall an electric starter ever being available for these engines. That may be something that the oems added on to them. But even then I've never seen an electric start on one of these Chrysler two strokes.
It's the right way to do it. You always make sure everything fits properly and works properly before you paint it. Back when Choppers were popular in the 60's and early 70's lots of nice paint got trashed when they tried to put the bike together without pre fitting it before the paint and Bondo work.

Sean, don't pull a pull start until it stops! That's the way you break the rope. Make a bunch of continuous short pulls and stop well before the end of the rope pull and the engine will start quicker. Quick, shorter brth, brth, brth, style pulls until the engine starts. {I'm aware that sentence is lame, but without being there to show you what I mean, it was the best I could do :-*} This from a guy who broke a few starter ropes on his two stroke gas powered tools who learnt the hard way. I sure hope that crank is still balanced after seeing how those bearings were pressed in. Usually you would brace the crank from the bottom side of the counter weight your applying the bearing to so you don’t squeeze the crankshaft unevenly
It’s the same as a super pro 125 McCulloch you can get those condensers in points also if it’s an old enough Mac 1010 the condenser will work I have that same bike I was laughing when you guys were working on the starter I knew what was wrong Rachel guys and happy Easter I’m watching it today
When I was a kid I had a Fox go-cart with that motor. Two summers of odd jobs to save the $50 price. But it was fast. Two Tillotson carbs. Then one day the cops swung by and we couldn't run it on the road any more. So we ran it in the dirt - without air cleaners. We got really good at changing those roller bearings on the crank pin.
To saturate a part in a liquid like the mud flap, I use a large zip lock bag. It doesn’t require much liquid product when you push all of the air out. 👍👍👍
You must heat up those cases before you set in those bearings it can danmge the chrank, and you have to use an support plate or frame to set those bearings on the chrank it can easil bend in that press
Ed's going to love it. By the time you guys and then Robbie gets finished it will be better than new. Too bad it doesn't have a starter, might not be as easy for him to pull it like the last time he used it. A starter would be hard to rig up on that little engine.

I sure hope that crank is still balanced after seeing how those bearings were pressed in. Usually you would brace the crank from the bottom side of the counter weight your applying the bearing to so you don’t squeeze the crankshaft unevenly
It's a Butcher Shop 🤣
using a hammer on that wrist pin won't help any either so I don't think they know any better ha
Congrats Dan n I’ll one. She did all the work, congratulations Mrs.
It’s the same as a super pro 125 McCulloch you can get those condensers in points also if it’s an old enough Mac 1010 the condenser will work I have that same bike I was laughing when you guys were working on the starter I knew what was wrong Rachel guys and happy Easter I’m watching it today
Great job posting the verse in Galatians.
Awesome work you are doing on a 50 year old bike.
Congrats on the new member of the family!
Congratulations 🥳
Love seeing Ed's GoldDuster coming together! And ... Congratulations 🎉 New Baby‼️👏
Dan congrats on the new baby! Great video guys.
Yup 👍
calm your vag
Congratulations Dan!
Good job. Love hearing it fire. Ed will ride it for sure.
Like you show.
That smile at 22.09 is AWESOME!
Wow what a rebuild. It's good that you guys took it on. You were probably some of the very few who could handle a 50yr old Rokon.
Aluminum foil and water takes rust off chrome. Some chemical reaction to it, it just works and it does not scratch like a wire brush.
Oh ho golden - thank you!
Nice. I love this series
Ed's going to love it. By the time you guys and then Robbie gets finished it will be better than new. Too bad it doesn't have a starter, might not be as easy for him to pull it like the last time he used it. A starter would be hard to rig up on that little engine.
Ey, neatsfoot oil! Got a jug just like that for some leather-work/restoration. Haven't used it yet.
Maybe that guard is vinyl? The texture/stiffness remind me of old vinyl from my Bug's upholstery.
16:30 (ish) Huh, weird audio dip, thought my audio cord came loose. Glad it didn't persist!
