I am using MacOS due to video editing / work requirements, however outside of that I use Ubuntu 16.04 on servers and Ubuntu 18.04 beta on my non-work non-video desktops (and I have a Windows partition for Overwatch and a few others)

I’m currently learning to use both windows 10 pro and also Linux Ubuntu Mate by manually booting each one from the bios with each on two different ssd’s in my notebook computer, is this a more secure way to store important data on windows by limiting windows to work use only, and using Ubuntu for entertainment purposes(compared to dual partition on one ssd)? I’m led to believe that windows is less secure for browsing/recreational use but is more stable than Ubuntu?
I cant install it to my hard drive because i am on my school computer but when i tried to get rps fusion firefox kept on crashing could the fact i didnt install it on my hard drive be the cause?
I want to install Fedora 25 as a host OS(Dual boot with Windows 10),but I am facing problem regarding the disk partition. Even I am clicking on Automatic select partition option or I will configure my Partition option, I am facing error. And also in the reclaim space option, I am facing error. How to fix this problem???
Probably because windows has locked off this drive partition as reserves. Create a new partition in windows on the drive with enough room for Fedora and any other software you intend to use then shrink partition in fedora and select the available space you created as the boot path. Should go through just fine and set itself up from there. Sometimes laptops can be funny with the what they are setup with when Windows is pre-installed and often the easiest way is to nuke windows and all partitions entirely but this should work. Managed it in Fedora 26 on my thinkpad X1 carbon. Needed Windows for my programming work and it just runs better when not emulated with all the crazy builds I have to configure, Linux for my network and server maintenance.
If your computer would be stolen they wouldn't be able to read your data even if they took the hard-drive out and put it into another computer. ....Unless they're the NSA or something.

Why do you encrypt data ? is it necessary ? i read that is harder recovery when you encrypt data .
