What a beautiful hard working little locomotive! I'm sure any railway would be proud to have this unusual engine working for them , even just as a visitor.
First off, full marks for braving the elements to produce such sparkling results and skillfully edited too! The East Lancs people deserve a huge thanks for putting on a great gala. Great to see our wee Caley 0-4-4 tank putting on a fine show, more fitting than some other rather anaemic displays elsewhere, and more in keeping with their normal performances on Glasgow suburban turns late 50s early 60s where rapid acceleration between closely spaced stops was essential! It was great to see all round brisk performances from all locos, all well turned out, esp 80097, another favourite of mine. Very enjoyable video. Best wishes from Ken
Thanks for standing out in the snow and rain for this fantastic flm. I'm so glad you ditched the "zoom as it approaches" later on; much better. And thanks also for avoiding the clichéd "pan as it passes" shots.
Great video of the gala and a pat on the back for braving the changing weather. The caley tank was certainly the star of the show. Hoping to see her at the glous warks gala in may. The standards all put on good performances aswell.
I managed to actually ride behind 419 and on one of the days it began snowing at Rawtenstall. The most beautiful post grouping engine probably, with Midland Railways 1000 and 158A coming very close behind.

The Caley loco stole the show. Great video given the conditions, quite amazing shots. You even found some blue sky.

Lovely footage, even in the rain! Hopefully the weather is better for the SVR next weekend!
Excellent video, I was filming at Bolton Street on the Friday morning.
Great performance from 419, but I love Gothenburg storming along as well!
Amazing Video I think the rain makes the video better🙏👌
fantastic video thanks 😀
