Basically for fun. NYMR's General Manager was previously the Talyllyn's GM. There was a loose RAF theme to that gala, 92 Squadron was the headline visitor.
@@preservedrailway thanks for the reply, I really enjoy seeing these just wondering since they wont be carrying passengers and I doubt any real freight would be moved by steam these days hahah
Makes perfect soundtrack for when either cooking dinner or driving next door up the wall oh do love the sound of steam locomotive working hard 😀😀
Really nice footage of these locomotives - I Liked & Subscribed 👍😎
I'm very confused why Douglas is on the very first train of this video, but overall, a pretty great video!
ttte reference
I’ve wondered that same question, I’ve seen him in other British freight videos
0:11 This locomotive looks a lot like Donald and Douglas
Some great stuff. Probably my favourite so far how many volumes will there be
At least two standard gauge (maybe three), plus a narrow gauge one next week. Something goods train related each Saturday this month.
Excellent video great footage

Must have some great memories and seen some changes over your career.
Wonder if they actually ever carry goods sometimes.

How else is an engine supposed to visit a line of a different gauge?
For what purpose are these trains running in the modern day? Great to see I just dont understand why they are pulling freight in the modern age
Just for demonstration purposes as part of events... aka just for fun
