I got an idea, try expanding on the warddrobe trick you normally use in multiplayer by using bombs, try having it explode at the exact moment you take the item out, don't recall trying it myself but then again this might be the first time I thought to try, not that it matters as I downgraded the PS4 version to 1.0 for the sake of the original glitches, as for PC I just hack in the amount I want... along with stuff I shouldn't even have yet such as the ultimallet (haven't gotten round to doing the final chapter yet)

For those who like keeping story items around, you can also get a simple dining set from the female orc's cave in furrowfield before learning how to make one (you can get to said cave as soon as you get to Furrowfield). And as I happen to have learned about this while starting a new playthrough, I have verified that this CAN indeed duplicate the Light Bulb story item so that you can keep one while also planting it. *Game Version: Whatever the latest is for the PS4, as of me typing this.* So yeah, it seems that the simple dinner set method is basically just a way of undoing the effects of the patch that originally fixed the exploit. Obviously, for those wanting to dupe the Light Bulb, practice first with a crafting table or some other placeable thing, then save before you attempt it (just in case you place it without successfully duping it. I got lucky getting on the first try that actually placed the bulb but...)
I hope that there would be dragon quest builders 3, honestly it’s best game I ever played. I tried to play animal crossing new horizons. And I stopped playing it for two months. While this game I keep playing it. Maybe because I really like the atmosphere of the game than the animal crossing. Esp the villagers. How they cook, eat. And can use all the materials you put. You don't need the Ultimallet to acquire those blocks; just swap them out with the Trowel. I do this for these and for the dye blocks. I also use the trowel to grab lots of Limegrassy/Lemongrassy blocks from explorer shores. It takes a bit of time, but I can net thousands of blocks in about a half hour. Much faster than trying to create worm food or farming grass seeds. Great videos, brother.
Heads up (for those wondering, I am using the PS4 version, with the latest patch as of the time I type this post): It is possible to substitute the display stand with a community chest (the first chest you learn to build, upon getting Furrowfield to level 1, before you get the Light Bulb). The animation timing seems to be that you want to place the item at the same time the chest closes. For those wanting complete duped item sets like the light bulb, I will also note that there is a simple dinner set in the female orc's cave you can obtain before learning how to build one (it seems that BUILDING one requries a quest from AFTER planting the Light Bulb normally. The method is the same, but because its a chest instead of a display stand, the timing may be slightly different is all. In other words, you CAN get a Light Bulb dupe with this. And thus, any other method of preserving a copy of a story item used on a certain place should be workable as long as you can at least make/find a chest and a simple dinner set. It appears that the patch method that fixed the previous chest-based dupe was indeed centered around blocking your inventory, and that by using the simple dinner set in the manner BenXC and the original finder of this glitch are using, you can now bypass that patch's effect. After testing with crafting tables to see if it would work with a chest, I (luckily) successfully got a Light Bulb duped on the first attempt and thus didn't need to worry about reloading or placing it without duping, but take a precaution before you try it for an item like this: Namely, make sure you save before trying it with the Light Bulb or any similar item that is used when placed in a special spot, of course. In the event you place it without duping, you will need to reload if you want to keep the thing. Also, maybe practice a few times with another block like a crafting table to make sure its working right. Incidentally, as long as we are speaking about furrowfield, the glitch means you can dupe those big banana peels too, though only in the manner of "you can place one that you can then move around with your gloves, but your stock of them won't go down." I played around with trying to use the method to place the item in one chest, hit up the simple dining set after the animation cancel, and then place the stack into a SECOND chest too, but I was unable to make it work. It may be possible though to do this with some mixture of display stands and/or chests though (or some other "storage blocks" while using the dinner set trick to unlock your inventory again), so I'll leave it to someone else to try that out for now (it seems less likely for this to be doable though, since I would suspect basic anti-dupe inventory checking was in the game from the get go to make sure you can't place an item into multiple chests for instance, and that it is just the ability to place it in both the world and a storage block at the same time that was the original unforeseen dupe).
THANK THE LORD i did the chest dup for 4 hour straight before i found it didn't work cause it was patched. looked for new dup for about 20-30 minutes and kept getting brought here i watched and i don't have the display thing before furrowfields i was about to put a comment so i pushed spacebar to scroll down and my hand twitched (nerve issue) making me push again and i saw this comment and had to try it forgot to save but as luck would have it i got it on the first try but to dup my first item and it being the light bub.... not going to lie it brought a tear to my eye i am beyond grateful so all i can say is "MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WITH A DAY OF LUCK!" amen
and you can be sure i will subscribe to you and hit the bell. while also adding your name to a giant rat sign that will be placed on the little island that the river ends at i will surround it with the 5 crops 3 flowers and move a tree over. by the way i was doing it on the xbox one
Just a heads up in case anyone is wondering, it does work on Xbox as well. Just spent half an hour trying to get it before realizing I had been doing a step wrong. Pretty easy once you get the timing.

Another useful tip, it works with just two simple supper sets or similar if you want to do it with food. Probably would come in handy on Moonbrooke if you're not looking to be starving at all times.
I just tried it on the Switch, and it works. It's difficult, but once you get the hang of it, it's easier than going to an island for 2-6 huge horns. I would say 1-4 per minute vs. an island trip.
ore blocks don't require ultimallet to obtain, you can trowel other blocks to get them as early as just entering khrumbul dun and troweling sand or other easy to get blocks using the transform o trowel. Really wish they fix the save bug on pc.

Bro if you dupe the rare metal the blacksmith gave you from khrumbul dun, you can make the golden golem statue and bar, but with face. Otherwise just dupe the face itself.
Nah don't worry it works and will never be patched. Maybe you tried it on PC? Otherwise just make sure to zoom out the map right before your builder makes a sound and then do everything as fast as possible :)

I’m replaying the story right now, and treating everyone horribly in furrowfield and here’s why Every area has its theme, if goes farms, mines, then soldiers, and in the second and third, your people help you in some way, if that’s getting ore, or coming with you outside the safe areas. But furrowfield has the villagers do almost nothing, all they do is till fields and water them, and they don’t even do a good job at it, they are useless, and that’s why I treat them like trash
Can confirm this does work on xbox, tried it with a seed of life and assuming your timings right and your quick enough you can dupe the seed. But you eat the seed by default so if it doesnt dupe reload.
No Worries, im pretty sure the display stand is in the builder bench under furniture or decoration. Im pretty sure you can get it before the 3rd island.. Not sure though. Good luck!
