    As someone who is often in a wheelchair it is very inspiring to see creators putting thought into accessibility even when they don't have to. It means more than I can express that even though the game doesn't require it that there are people who consider that reality.

    Maybe there used to be a natural river, but it dried up over time, so when the zoo was established they decided to "revive" the river as a habitat. That would explain the fact that there is no natural wildlife and give the zoo planners a chance to lay in pipes etc.

  • @yusha5728
    @yusha5728 Год назад +34

    This is absolutely beautiful, I think the fact that it look very natural adds to it. A lot of people playing this game get swept up in the realism aspect of it and don't go crazy enough with the habitats when the game allows for it, so its good to see a habitat that doesn't necessarily look like a traditional habitat. Makes the experience more authentic i think

    ZSHplays mentioned in one of his Tekton videos that sometimes companies buy extra plots of land for a discounted prize, if they take on the responsibility of maintaining a park/ wildlife in parts of that land (which is why he has a fallow deer park next to the Tekton Zoo instead of as a habitat animal in the zoo), so maybe the part with the river is like that. It wouldn't be a zoo habitat, and therefor not maintained in the same way, but under their responsibilities, and it makes sense that a lot of zoo goers would check it out :)

    If you put an enclosure next to the (not yet existing) lake down by the waterfall, maybe a backstage-like more conservation orientated enclosure could be cool. Some animal with a big herd like the bison. So you have a nice view from the plateau and people dont disturbe these wilder animals.

    Oleander looks a lot like Azaleas, I once built some by taking the recolourable tropical flower and shaping them around the roots of an upside down tree to look like bushes. Maybe this works for you, too.

    That really is jawdroppingly beautiful, that river! I like the idea of the meerkats (and they work with aardvarks so that could be a fun addition) with a rocky outcrop restaurant. Also love the vineyard idea for the back of house: it gives me a keeper greenhouse gardens vibe but natural to the zoo itself.

    The small limestone canyon looks really great....could be one of your best river habitats so far🤔.
    While watching the planned rest of the river (that goes down to the "ocean"), I thought, how about building a narrow gorge with a tall waterfall at the end (like the "Alcantara Gorge" in Sicily) into the large cliff on the left side of the planned lake 🤔.

    And also I would let the underwater view as big as it is. I think it would be lovely to see it as wide as it is in a real life zoo, so why not let it as it is. :)

    You could always make adjustments to it and make it into a natural scenery piece more so then a habitat. As you mentioned it does have that natural look to it more so then human constructed habitat. And lure guests there with hidden vista points instead.

    This is so impressive and beautiful! You shouldn't worry too much about realism when you feel inspired to do something and it just comes together like this, half the fun of the detailed build mode is being creative and bold with new ideas 💛 that being said, I don't even think that its all that unrealistic for a man-made, planed out zoo to feature existing landmarks when they fit :D

    Mamma Mia! so many things to say but so few words available in english for me! I'll try...
    My compliments on the incredible work you are doing.
    everything is beautiful and the river is clearly inspired by the "GORGES OF ALCANTARA" or "SIMETO RIVER" between Catania and Messina (where I live), and I can say for sure, because you have created a small work of art.
    The plants are "correct" (especially the prickly pear catus, which is the iconic plant of Sicily).
    As for the "oleanders", the most common have white, red or pink flowers.
    I would like to tell you more but I prefer to be amazed by your skill in research and in recreating wonderful landscapes.
    I can't wait for the next episode.

    I REALLY want them to add fish! I struggle with water habitat animal pathing. One little rock in the wrong place and it cuts them off from the rest of the habitat then it becomes a hunt for whats causing the issue.
    EDIT: As a side note, watching you use the terrain tool like a master is amazing! I struggle with getting my terrain even but looking natural.

    I've been in an African themed zoo in Valencia, which used part of the Turia River to provide water to the habitats (the city in general takes advantage of its river very well), as a result the zoo was full of beautiful waterfalls and areas with water for the animals. So the work you did here seems pretty realistic to me. Stunning work as always! ♥🦦

    The stuff you've been doing in this zoo so far is so cool. The lion habitat was insane, and this river looks incredible as well. Took a lot of inspiration from it in terms of using the faux aquatic rock piles to make rivers look more natural, so thank you for that! Looking forward to seeing where this is going. :D
    One question: Could you explain how you manage to keep guests from going onto paths that are meant for staff only? I've never seen you use the staff paths but the guests still seem to know to stay off. How does that work?

    • @_siri_
      @_siri_ Год назад +1

      If you build the path as a dead end (only has a habitat gate at the end) and make sure guests can't see any animals walking on it, they'll not go down it because the game knows there's nothing of interest for guests. Hope that helps!
