I'm glad to see some tips on path design, I have been getting into planet zoo recently and the paths have been unbearable, I hate dealing with them so much it actually made me enjoy the game less
I think its stupid you can't choose to have square pathing without selecting a grid. Sometimes, when a corner rounds itself and I cannot make it square, it ruins the asthetic of my game.
I have been playing planet zoo for over a year now and I still didn't know you could hit "ctrl" and move a path freely without it snapping back to another one. Holy heck, thank you so much, I will definitely be doing that in the zoo I'm currently working on.
Haha I’m glad it helped! Honestly there is so much going on in this game I discover new things all the time and I’m like why didn’t I know this from the start! 🤣
I loved seeing some of the let’s play footage in here - I already learned a lot from that series, but this video gave me even more great ideas. I didn’t know you could raise and lower paths with shift and that’s going to be so useful!
6:00 In the 1.7 update they changed that for many animals, both penguins, otters, alligators and beavers require 2mx2m and seals, sea lions, alligators and crocodiles need 3mx3m
i like how paws build gets right into the tips, without a intro asking to sub or anything. you have earned a new subscriber, and I hope you blow up soon!
Also, his videos are actually edited and written. Most of these gameplay tips videos are just guys playing the game live while trying to explain to you a bunch of their tips, which just leads to a video being way longer than it needs to be. Paws knows what he's doing. He's my go-to resource.
New subscriber! I just found your channel as I got back in to the game. I love it so much but struggle with buildings. Another tip for making habitats visually interesting is to have multiple levels the animals can walk on. Like a mountain with an inner sleeping chamber and a path up around it to the tippy top. Also fun having guests walk through a rock mountain or hill with animals walking on a land bridge above! The sides of the tunnel could be windows into enclosures. Going along with that are exhibits that span over or under pathways in general!
i had no motivation or desire to make my zoos look good at all, or to be creative with the path placements. this video is sparking my imagination and i thank you for that
Best tip video ever! thanks a lot. Underwater viewing is what i have been working on and i could not for the life of me figure out the tunneling. This was very helpful!
Thank you so very much for this video, so much information in a short video that really explains what all you can do, have been feeling so overwhelmed with options but now Im feeling creative. By far the best tips video I have ever seen for Planet Zoo!
I’ve gotten into planet zoo lately and I love the game so much! Also I’m so jealous of ur zoo it’s so lovely! And it looks like and actual zoo if it was a real zoo it go there so much.
Haha thank you I really appreciate it! It’s such a good game isn’t it! I’ve just started a new tropical franchise zoo so if that sounds interesting to you maybe give it a try ☺️
I quit playing this game a year ago because it was just so overwhelming. Watching this video has given me new life and excitement to play this game again!
I'm so glad you mention Artis at the beginning since it's been my inspo lately. Also I truely believe you have made me enjoy the game. Great tutorials.
I actually use that barrier method for making large buildings. I like grids and paths so usually I start with a floor. Then I grid path the entire thing. To make guests not travel through walls for different parts of the building, like say for a restaurant, I place security barriers in all the walls that aren’t doorways
Cool video. I haven't even built my first zoo yet (only tutorial scenarios 1 and 2) so there's a lot I haven't tried yet, but the underwater tunnel looks amazing. Never thought that would be possible in this game. Hope they didn't patch that, that would be anti-fun
This video i great, you know why? Because it really contains TIpps, it does not have a annoying intro, it has no sponsorship annoyance and it ends simple. It just pure information and i love it. I font even play or own Planet zoo and i watched it anyways.
Thanks for the tips and tricks it really helps me get more creative by the way keep up the amazing videos. Also when do you think you will upload another Jurassic world evolution vid 2.
Great tips video. I've only seen your Tundra Biome series. Will have to go and check out the others. I got a deal on the game with all but 2 of the DLC's, so went and got the 2 extra ones as well. Most looking forward to doing the Capybara one I think (is it wet lands?). I was wondering as well though, do you have to make dedicated Zoo's for the DLC animals, or is it possible to have a Zoo that can house animals from different Biomes, and artificially create their preferred weather conditions in their enclosures? I would really like to work on a giant zoo that has everything in it, as a long term project.
Thanks I’m glad you liked it! That’s a great question - no you can put any animal in any biome and just use shelters/buildings, heaters, coolers and landscaping to make it a good habitat for them. I think it’s fun to have different animals in the same zoo because it makes it more interesting ☺️ If you feel like it you can make a zoo so big that your PC melts trying to run it 🤣

I can't use the feeding platforms that you can put in trees (don't really know what they are called in English I play in Dutch). I’m glad you’re enjoying! I did a community post about it but idk how they are shared with you all - essentially don’t worry I’ll be re-uploading the videos this week when I’m back from holiday and the series will continue on from where it left on ☺️
Yes there are waterfall pieces in the base game but they are much more involved than those in the aquatic pack - essentially giving you a waterfall blueprint to use rather than individual water effects 😊
hey! Im sorry if you mention this in the video but im struggling to understand english hehe. But almost every time I put a way or a path then its just say "Terrain modification failed" Any tips?
That’s probably just an issue with the pathing system. It quite often has issues if you’re placing a path too close to a barrier (even null barriers) or an existing facility building? If you delete the barrier / move the building and then move them back after it normally works just fine 😊
All the packs provide quite a lot of good content but some are more animal focussed while some are more scenery focussed so I’d say choose based on what you’re most interested in out of those ☺️
@@antivaxxnugs7859 aah that’s a good question! You have to block it with something like rocks, construction pieces or terrain. I do this in my franchise series on the channel if you’re looking for examples ☺️

You can raise the barrier height after you place it so that it is 3m tall - I made a lion habitat where I did this in a recent video on the channel so maybe that would help 😊
I honestly have them on High I think here so they should look similar unless you’re playing on a worse monitor? Might be the screen that’s the problem rather than the game? 🤔

I have a question do you have to unlock sandbox mode
@@marafresi1202 no it’s available as soon as you get the game - just a different game mode 😊
Also what is the most expensive animal in the game
@@marafresi1202 I’m not 100% sure but I think either lions or tigers 🦁🐯
How do u have this graphic?! I just setted them at max and I maxed other things too.. but the graphics are still quite ugly🐸
Maybe editing the contrast
I honestly have them on High I think here so they should look similar unless you’re playing on a worse monitor? Might be the screen that’s the problem rather than the game? 🤔
But buying natural barriers costs to much money
This is my dream animal game on pc But i don’r have a pc😢😭
